By far my favorite Mexican restauraunt in town. I have never had a bad meal here. Very consistent plates - looks the exact same every time I come. Best kept secret in San Antonio, but hopefully that changes. Carmen, the owner, remembers all her customers even when she hasnt seen you in a couple years. Shes also the sole waitress. Cant brag on this place enough! Relaxed environment. Great food. Family owned.

I liked the ambience, along with the food served. This is about the closest to authentic that weve been to in a long time. I visited this restaurant in the late 70s when attending a political party. They served Cabrito at the time but no longer serve. All in all, we enjoyed it.

This is a great place for locals and Ive been eating here since I was a little boy. Ive never had a bad experience at this place. The lady that runs it, named Carmen has watched me grow up. She does a great job and her strong work ethic is refreshing. Im truly a customer for life.

Food was ok, price was good but service was extremely terrible. Took forever to get drinks and menu. I kind of wanted dessert but waitress never came back after bringing the food (there was only one other customer) so had to go to cash register to pay. Dont think we will be back!

The food really wasnt to bad. Had it to go. Got fajitas for the family and paid through the nose but always willing to pay for good food. Just didnt expect so little and only half my order and had to go back. I will stick with Las Palmas or the Speedy Taco.

I will never miss an opportunity to dine at Ms Carmens place. She serves up the BEST Chile Relleno in San Antonio and possibly all of South Texas! I have gotten the same thing for 19 years. The taste and quality has never been altered.

Well its OK. Carne Guisada not right, just OK. Not a rich brown gravy, red. Flour tortillas very good. Corn used for chips and crispy tacos, very thick, not the way I like them. Enchiladas, just ok, I prefer more spice.

Awesome relleno, had a few raisins in it, making it sweet and spicey. The refried beans were dark and delicious, not light like most places. Parking is a bit limited, but the food and service are great.
