I do not understand the reviews for this place at all. A couple co-workers and I ate dinner here and it was the worst experience I have had with a restaurant in a long time. Our waitress was either very new or should not be working in a restaurant. We had to ask for drinks (ordering them, not refilling) on her third trip to our table. She did not inform us of any specials (overheard another server tell his table after we ordered). The food was absolutely horrible. I ordered Calamari Fritti that was very much overcooked. I wish I had tasted it before ordering a main course. My co-workers ordered Cesare salads that looked to be very underwhelming for an $8 salad. For the main course, I ordered Linguine alla Pescatora. It was completely inedible. Every aspect of the dish was overcooked: mushy noodles, unable to puncture with a fork shrimp, and again rubbery calamari. The light tomato sauce was not even a redeeming quality for this meal as it was flavorless and seemed really, really watered down (possibly by improperly making the dish with noodles that probably sat in water for a long time). I do not travel that far north in the Dallas area often, but I most certainly will not ever be back if I am in the area.

I visited for the first time on 12/26/15. The calamari was perfectly light and crispy, and included delicate zucchini blossoms. There is a note to customize your dish, so I added Italian sausage to the freshly made pappardelle. If I hadnt done so the dish would have been lacking a little something. I tasted my dates bolognese, and it was a little bland for my taste. Maybe needed a little more seasoning, but was still delicious. I also had the cappuccino cake, and it was great. Our waitress was perfect: attentive but not hovering. The manager or owner stopped by every table, including ours, to ask about our experience. I am unsure if he was able to do this because it was slow, but it was nice that they ensured we were having a good time. My new favorite Italian restaurant!

Fuimos a comer para celebrar nuestro matrimonio después de salir del juzgado un día lunes, nos recibió el dueño con quien conversamos en italiano y luego nos atendió un muchacho muy amable y también conversador (nos encantó) La comida: excelente!!! Im currently working here so I got to try a lot of different combinations and I have to say I love everything! My favourite thing about this place is probably the fact you can completely customize your order, menu is flexible! If youre looking for authentic Italian this is definitely the place to go, owner and main chief are Italian. Portions are not huge, American style, but theyre more than enough, quite filling. Make sure to save space for dessert, you wont be disappointed! Also if you are a vine lover youll be pleasantly surprised by a large selection fine vine!

The overall experience here is really unmatched when compared to just about any other restaurant. The personal attention provided to my wife and I was unforgettable. Ivan made us feel like we were old friends. Like he had known us for a good bit of time, this was our 1st visit. The food was great but the overalll experience made it even better. We are going back to celebrate our daughters 16th birthday because of the experience overall.

I have no idea why some people are unhappy about their experiences. This is the best Italian place in town. Never had a bad meal after coming here 30 or more times. You just cant please unhappy people. Everyone of my friends love the place. Gianna the owner is the best and I cant find a better chef than Christian. Just an awesome place and we r all headed there today. Keep up the great work. All you guys are awesome.

This restaurant was honestly so amazing. The food is great, service was great, it wasnt too packed when I went, which was Valentines Day, but the only thing I was hoping for was bigger portions of food. Its a bit pricey for a small serving of food but atleast it was delicious. And their desserts are made from scratch and just the best god damn thing Ive ever eaten. This place was A1.

The food and the service are fantastic at both lunch and dinner. A great place to wind down at the end of the day and have a drink at the bar followed up by a great meal. The atmosphere inside is very nice and on the outside porch next to the fireplace is a great place for an after dinner drink and even a smoke. Mangiare Bene!

Small servings for price, marinara sauce had no flavor. Chicken parmigiano was good and made in house. Service great, but likely because they werent busy during dinner rush.... the overall 4 star rating is what brought me in, but 3 is all i can really give.

First time dining here last night. Real deal Italian food, simple ingredients, strong flavors. Service was great. I grew up on this type of cuisine and Ive never been to a restaurant that has reminded me of home cooking more than Trattoria al Giardino.

Gianni and crew do a fantastic job, from start to finish. They have a tiny bar with additional seating in the bar area. The weekday happy hour includes pizza! Definitely worth a visit.
