First off, the food, if and when you get it, is pretty good. With that in mind, after a less than stellar visit the first time, I decided to give them a second chance. Bad mistake. Both times, I sat at the bar and ordered off the menu. Both times, it appears the server forgot to put in the order. The first time, after 20-30 minutes he came back and asked me what it was I ordered at which time I think he put in the order which was delivered after 10 or 15 minutes. The second time even that didnt happen. After two beers and an hour waiting, I told the server to cancel my fish taco order, paid my tab and went next door to Jimmy Johns, which got me in and out lickedy split. I asked the server what happened to my order, but he appeared to be pretty clueless. Then again, his English skills were not very good, Im not sure he got it. Additionally, the underside of the bar has a series of razor sharp plastic zip ties that secure a rope lighting system to the bar. Unless you like pain, and are immune to hepatitis, tetanus or even AIDS, I strongly suggest not sitting at the bar. I cut my knee on the offending ties. (Heaven knows how many other people have cut themselves). I advised the server, who didnt seem to understand, and I even sent an email to the restaurant management, who did not respond, despite a statement on their website that promised prompt responses within 24 hours. In short, I would say, good food, but the place kind of sucks.

Villa Grande was just ok. We got there on an a Thursday night around 8 p.m. with a party of only 6, the place was pretty empty with 3-4 wait staff and a nicer fella I assume was a manager. Service started out great we had a fella get our drink order and moments later another ask us if we wanted any more dips. I had asked one of the waiters to sing Happy Birthday to my son who was turning 11. He said sure we will even bring him a small cake. I told him that would be great any time yall are ready would be great. A 3 different person brought out our food. After we ate the 3rd waiter brought our checks and said have a good day. I was very upset after not seeing another water when they brought the food out and quickly gathered they were not going to be singing. I apologized to my son paid my bill and left. I will not EVER be giving any of my business to Villa Grande again if they cant even sing happy birthday to a 11 year old waiting. Good job guys, the most attention we got was when that same 11 yeat old spilt his drink.

I was looking forward to some good tex mex after being out of the country for one year and this place was near our hotel so we decided to give it a shot. The food was mediocre at best. Salsa was bland. I ordered the Taco Al Pastor, and the waitress told me that my menu item would cost $3.00 more than what was on the menu. This was a bit unorthodox, but I figured it would be alright. When the food came out I was presented with a taco salad. I was a bit confused and brought this up to the waitstaff. They quickly assembled my corrected order and all seemed to be alright. I got the ticket and paid for the meal. I was tired after my long 11 hour flight and i didnt thoroughly check the receipt when I paid. Later I realized that I was charged for the Taco Al Pastor and the Taco Salad that

Team lunch with a group of 9 from work. Excellent service with regard to refilling my lemonade and checking up on us; less so when distributing orders (only 1 of the first 5 plates went to the right person [and we did order in a circle]; I stopped paying attention after getting mine). I didnt care for the salsa; strong cilantro flavor and not much else. You dont get much food here for the price, compared to similar restaurants. The chicken nachos looked pretty scant. My beef chimichanga with queso tasted incredible! The layer of rice & beans was noticeably and unusually thin. The flavor was the deciding factor between 3 and 4 stars for me.

We had the enchiladas with green sauce & a brisket burrito. Awesome. Absolutely perfect, authentic mexican food. Our waitress recommended the brisket when my husband couldnt decide on a meat type. She was knowledgeable. I asked about 3 dishes & she gave me the feed back I needed to decide. It a 20 min drive from home but the food was so delicious Ill gladly make the drive again & again when i have a taste for mexican. Id give 10 stars if i could. The restaurant was nice & clean. They have a very nice, shaded dining patio with water fountain. The margaritas are good too. Dont take my word for it, just go!!

I get enchiladas at every Mexican restaurant so its easy to compare (also, I love enchiladas, obviously). Anyways, Ive lived in Texas my whole life so Ive been to a lot of mexican and tex-mex restaurants and Villa Grande had the BEST beef enchiladas Ive ever had. The chicken tasted good, but it was hard to cut them. The service was great, always on top of our drinks and very polite. When we asked for salsa to-go with our leftovers, they gave us a ton. Definitely going back to this place.

I had an awful experience with the service. The waitress, Eva, brought me to my table and before I sat down she said, "what do you want to drink." I bearly said water to start and she was gone. I finally placed my order and never saw the server again nor did anyone else check to see if everything was ok. The food was fair. Serving melted velveta and calling it "authentic" is an insult to true mexican cusine. I will not return and suggest that others go elsewhere.

This is a regular go to place for me! Love the service from the guys and food is always on point. Only negative is the service from the ladies there, theyre horrible. I always ask for one of the guys they never let you down!! Ladies just never tend to you, take your order, serve your food and gives the check. Never gives refills on chips/salsa or even drinks. We eventually wave down one of our guys to get service.

Service was good. Restaurant atmosphere was good. Food was okay, but I guess good for the midwest. Im used to the authentic mexican restaurants in the southwest US. This one is geared more to the midwest. I tried to order a Carne Asada Burrito and was told that they do not serve such a thing. I never heard of a Mexican restaurant that did not serve Carne Asada Burritos.

I have been to this restaurant three times. The service is impeccable. The food is good I wanted to give them a four star. Every time Ive been there the food is good its just on the verge of being a four-star I cant seem to find my dish. Disappointed in the shrimp tacos. Nice atmosphere I will return. Tab
