I fist called on the phone on a Monday put my order in with a female who answered the phone. I remember her saying "would you like to pay now or when you pick up?" I opted for when I pick up. I had her repeat my order and discussed with her I would be in the next day to pay. When I arrived of course the lady who helped me couldnt find the ticket, and also said we dont do orders on the phone without payment! I discussed with her then they really shouldnt take orders on the phone as if they are putting it in either! It misleads the customers! I was in shock, due to me talking with someone a day prior who said I could. "Welp back to all over ordering again!" I discussed with the lady what I wanted and what color I wanted my outside icing to be. It was a white cream icing with chocolate sprinkles on top. In the end of all the ordering the lady gave my 3 kids a cookie, I thought that was really nice! The lady wrote down my words I wanted on the cake. I never thought when I would pick the cake up it would be blue writing on top of a white and chocolate sprinkled cake :/ !!!! It didnt match at all! My only tip to them would be please discuss with customers what color they would like the writing to be so when they pick it up, they will not be in surprised! I guess I assumed it would match the cake! The cake was very good! My husband and I enjoyed it!

Helpful and DELICIOUS! The quick story: Me: Bake me a cake today. I dont know what flavor. It needs to taste fabulous. Love Sweet Things Bakery: DONE. Cake eaters: Glory! Delight! I marvel at the deliciousness! The long story: Walked in on my lunch hour and asked if they could make a cake that afternoon. Yes, they could! I wasnt sure what flavor, so they showed me their list. So many! I said my son loves carrot cake, but I wanted to try something new. Could they recommend? Yes they could, how about hummingbird cake? Its a pineapple, banana, spice cake with cream cheese frosting which sounded like a winner to me, so lets do it. ...Oh, and let me take one of these other cupcakes you have with me right now. :) Yummiest lunch dessert ever. Picked up the cake after 5, and it looked nice. The writing was clear and fine, so that you could see the personal artistry of the handwriting. I liked that. Took it to a family gathering where no one had heard of the flavor. It was mostly guys, so "hummingbird" didnt impress initially them. Doled out the slices, and watched as forks, hesitant at first, became tools of tasty pleasure. The entire cake was moist, flavorful and DELICIOUS. Literally everyone loved it, and several declared it was their new favorite (including my son)! Definitely a winning purchase.

Im very disappointed with my experience with Love Sweet Things Bakery. I came in and ordered a red and gold rose cake and instead got a ivory coral pink ombre effect cake. When I ordered I noticed the girl taking my order write ivory down on my order sheet, I then reiterated that I didnt want ivory but a red and gold cake. When I recieved the cake it was nothing like what I ordered. Most of the cake was ivory even though I had pointed it out to her. It looked like a baby shower cake instead of a birthday cake that was supposed to match my Moms red and gold theme 50th birthday. I called the bakery back and let them know that I was upset with the cake and I left my name and number so the bakery owner would call me back, which never happened. I ordered from this bakery and spent the extra money to customize it in hopes that it would be the way I wanted but instead I get a cake that didnt match the theme and wasnt even red. Im not a picky person, but I atleast expected the cake to be the color that I had ordered it to be. I just cant believe that my cake was nothing like what I had ordered. The cake did however taste good but that would be expected from red velvet. Ive ordered from this bakery before but wont see myself ordering from them again.

The cake was super cute. However, it was a bit pricey and it was not the flavor that I special ordered. I ordered an almond cake with almond buttercream. The buttercream was vanilla. When I contacted them to let them know, they replied, "standard practice for custom cakes is the inside cake and filling is as specified by the customer’s request, but the final outside coat of the cake is by default, buttercream." I did not order filling, I didnt even know there was a filling. Nor, was I informed this when placing the order. When I wrote them back, they never replied, apologized, or acknowledged their mistake.

This is by far one of my favorite, if not favorite bakery in DFW! Such friendly service, and their cupcakes are the best in town. Other bakeries I find the cupcakes are too surgery and lack taste. Love Sweet Things Bakery cupcakes have just the right amount of sweetness without going overboard. They have such a unique variety of flavors to choose from. It is on the expensive side... but you get what you pay for.. gourmet cupcakes.... not Walmart. My absolute favorite is Coco Loco!

I ordered a small cake that would serve 4. It would serve 4 mice maybe. When I picked up my cake, It looked like a cupcake. I was humiliated when I presented it to my mother in law for her birthday. The cake was so small you couldnt even write happy birthday on it. It was a MAJOR ripoff for the price!! The lady there didnt seem the least bit concerned with my surprise and disappointment.....I guess because I had ordered and prepaid online. Wont be back there again.

I ordered a harly davidson cake to be made for my husbands 50th birthday party. It was an excellent cake. And the staff was kind and very helpful. We had the party at a restaraunt and all the people around us, mention how awesome the cake looked. And it also tasted absolutly delicious! I will definitly go there in the future and will tell others to go as well! Thank you love sweet things bakery!

Wanted to get a custom birthday cake from here but was told it had to be two weeks prior instead of the week before when I called. Not so bad, so instead just went in and got cupcakes that they had in the store. Very, very delicious! Im not a fan of buttercream but their buttercream frosting was awesome! All the flavors were spot on!

The cakes are as beautiful as they are flavorful. I come here frequently for the cupcakes because they are simply the best Ive ever had. Service here is top notch, everyone here obviously has a passion for the product taking customer service to the next level. Thanks Sweet Things, Ill see you soon!

I absolutely love these cupcakes. So. Delicious. My favorites are the ones with berries but my husband and kids love all of the flavors that are thrown in front of them! Nice people, great service, will definitely consider them for a cake in the future!

Love it! My husband had the Coco-Mango cupcake andI had the Amaretto cupcake; it was simply fabulous. I recommend this place.
