My experience at this particular cotton patch was terrible. I went with my family yesterday on Mothers day I wanted a table fora party of 7. So we waited why they cleared a table there were two sections that I saw that were available for my party 7. When it was time for use to be seated the hostess walked us passed the front two available areas and sat me and my family in the back of the restaurant by the restroom. So i requested another seating area and our waiter moved us to the front, and sat us at one of the front seating areas. As we were being seated the same hostess that sat us in the back came over with our menus and silverware and slammed them on the table as if she had an attitude. Food was terrible either not done all the way though, over cooked, or burnt. I have never had an experience like this at cotton patch and I go to the one in rockwall all the time. Our waiter Tony was good and patient with us so he gets 5 stars but the restaurant overall and their hostess gets a zero. This was the cotton patch in grapevine off 121 and William d. Tate I believe

My family went last night for the Monday night $5.99 CFS or chicken fried chicken special and they were very crowded. My apprehension about slow service was quickly dissolved by Julias prompt smiling appearance. When I asked about a salad to go with my special, she told us that the salads were on special also for $1.99 and then offered to split the salad so that my husband and I could both have one. She brought the biggest & best 1/2 house salad Ive ever had. Ive never had their CF chicken but Julia recommended it and it was huge like their steaks. A crispy coated juicy chicken breast that I knew I wouldnt finish. The restaurant remained packed but Julia was never stressed and always attentive without being intrusive. After bringing out take home boxes, I asked for more bread and she brought us a bag with their rolls with a bigger bag to pack everything into. The food was great but Julias service out shined it all.

Well, Cotton patch wasnt a good experience at all. We ordered a Spinach and Artichoke dip which is pretty common a dish, yet it was badly prepared and had a burnt smell. The tortilla chips were rather plain with no salt. The grilled cheese sandwich was practically two slices of bread with a slice of cheddar cheese in it, no flavor and as ordinary as it could get. Mashed potatoes tasted like one prepared by a totally disinterested housewife. And yes, the dinner rolls, well the rolls are supposed to be the most common ever, but they werent good at all. They were soft, yes, but other than that it wasnt tasty and one wouldnt be tempted to eat more than one. I agree I am vegetarian and shouldnt have visited a restaurant known for its meat, yet I believe the really common everyday dishes should be prepared much better. Will not go back and will not recommend either. The service wasnt bad thou.

This is a good place for a week night. Food is okay, a little "peppery" for my taste. I had the meatloaf, which is good. The potatoes and green beans were okay. My husband had a shrimp dish, which he really enjoyed. The baked squash was very good! The fried green tomatoes were also very good. My husband and I both ordered dessert. We asked that the desserts be warmed up (pecan pie). The pie was overheated to the point that the entire pie consistency wasnt right. Again, the food is okay and overpriced for what you get in my opinion. Im from the deep south and this place has nothing on my grandmothers home cooking, but when youre wanting comfort food, this place will suffice.

Everytime I visit a Cotton Patch Cafe location, they are always out of the daily special. I have visited different locations, on different days of the week and at different times of the day and its always the same result. I am not pleased with this. If youre going to run out of your daily special all of the time, then just have a daily special for a certain time frame of the day, not all day then tell the customer that they have to order by a certain time or theyll be sold out. Very disappointing to say the least.

I’m really not hard to please, I love food and eating but… Call me crazy, I went back 3 times with 3 different people, each time the restaurant is consistent... consistently bad. They cant even make rolls or cornbread taste good... how hard can that be? Its literally the worst food I have ever tasted in my life. I do not understand how they remain in business. Can not recommend. I will not go back again (it was almost funny the first 3 times to show my friends - but not anymore). Service was adequate.

We used to get to-go here almost every Friday night for years. Over time the quality of the food and the accuracy of our orders has slipped into a spiral especially since the one in downtown Grapevine opened. They used to open and show you everything but not anymore. Multiple times weve been shorted something in the last 3-4 mo. even when its checked off as put in the bag on the receipt stapled to it. Need to implement a quality process and bring the store back up to the standards it used to be.

Service was poor. The waitress completely bypassed our table at least eight times without making eye contact or checking with us. I even tried to get her attention, but she was completely ignoring our table. The food was ok, but the tomato on my sandwich had a big brown section of the stem on it. Why would you put this on a sandwich? Seriously.

The place was filthy, the top of the booth that is at eye level while sitting is covered thick dust. The walls between the booths are covered with spilled and splattered food. To top it off the ice machine needs to be cleaned because the drinks taste like dirt. Will never go back to this location. The one in downtown Grapevine is excellent though.

Currently dining in and food is excellent! (forgot to take pics, yet pic worthy no doubt!) I had the strip, melt in your mouth kind of good, and my girlfriend tried the lemon salmon caesar salad, which she is picky about her salads yet ate every bite! GM Erich ensured us revisiting soon and a wonderful experience!

Server )-: with an attitude, he had a complete disrespect when he waited on us today. The manager made it better, but this server lack respect for customers , smerking as he looked back towards my table. I didnt get the servers name but I wont forget next time we visit the Cotton Patch on Hwy 121.

Not as good as the one in LakeWorth, the food is just a little off at this one. They are not near as busy either due to this I think. Maybe a district manager overall is needed here. 3 stars, one for what I said and the other is too many chicken choices and not enough beef choices.
