Ok, so I will start off by saying I was looking for the best burger place near me. I read the reviews, and I read some official reviews by so called "critics". I must say, I am sadly disappointed. I got two different burgers just so I could try a little variety. The Whiskey Burger - Irish whiskey cheddar, candied bacon, blackberry compote, whole-grain mustard $10.75 I was very enthusiastic about those ingredients. But I was very sad that all I could taste was mustard. I was hoping that I would get that sweet kick of the blackberry compote, but the whole-grain mustard was just overpowering. The bacon was sweet and went well with the Irish whiskey cheddar. But the failed execution of the mustard and compote left me hanging and I didnt get to experience what I thought was going to be a symphony of sweet and tangy. But that isnt the worst part of the burger(s). Sugar Burger - Candied Bacon, grilled peaches, caramelized onions, arugula, jalapeno jam $9.50 Again, I was very interested in the ingredients, in fact my interest was PEAKED when I saw that they were going to combine my favorite thing ever (PEACHES) with another favorite of mine (Jalapeno) and whats more it being made into a jam! But again it failed to execute that sweet and spicy combination. The peaches barely had any sweetness left in them, and the amount of arugula that was put on the burger really overpowered everything except the caramelized onions and bacon, so it was just as if I was consuming a Bacon and Onion burger. But the worst thing about the both of these burgers was the simple fact that the two most important things of the burger were a HUGE let down. The meat itself was BLAND and tasteless not to mention DRY and the buns though fresh didnt have the little bit of crisp that would have just set off the senses when you bite down. The service was good. My waitress was very attentive even with them being jam packed. But even with them being busy, it should not take away from the quality of the food that you put out. I had a better burger today and my local water hole. It was juicy and I could taste everything that was listed on the ingredients. But this place was rated better than Hopdoddys in Dallas? Laughable. If you havent eaten at Hopdoddys yet in Dallas, I would suggest going there first. I would rather drive the 21 miles it will take to get to Dallas than drive the 10 miles it will take to get to Fort Worth to eat a truly tasty burger.

Seriously amazing burgers. We were vacationing in Texas (arriving and leaving from Dallas Love Field) and this place was our first and last stop. We had one of the battle of the burgers burger (pile-it-on) and the royale with cheese. The royale with the cheese is more of a traditional burger, done so right, the meat was tender, the cheese was so melty and delicious, and the condiments on the burger went so well together. Pile-it-on was also good, no complaints. We then got a ride side salad, which was actually a really big salad, the salsa ranch is amazing, definitely get that dressing. We also got the goat chips, theyre kinda sweet but they go really well together with the ranch they provide. We also had the steaming pile, if youre a fan of tator tots like I am, then you absolutely need to get this. Lastly, we had goat balls and pecan fried pie for dessert. The goat balls you can skip, the Brie in the goat balls were dry and just didnt taste very good, the fried dough on the outside was blah, the best part about the goat balls was the jam they give you to dip in. The pecan fried pie on the other hand was fantastic, the ice cream tasted kinda just like Breyers Ive cream, not great but went well with the pie. Overall, we loved this place. The service was great and friendly, I like that you can sit anywhere. The bar stools were fairly comfortable and I like the bench top tables.

A very wise decision for the burger aficionado. Rodeo Goat is an unassuming looking place in an unassuming looking location, but once indoors the menu is nothing to laugh at! There massive selection of gourmet burgers and sandwiches come in all kinds of concoctions and flavors, Jalapeno is regularly implemented in many of the items, including bacon, jam, jelly, mustard and mayo. Jalapeno everything, why anot!? I want to take a moment and say that they grind their beef on site, in house, which make a huge difference. Most places absolutely cannot offer this, and the difference in freshness and taste is noticeable. You can also get any burger with any kind of meat, or no bread, whatever you want. Do NOT miss out on the cheese fries here. Probably 4,000 calories, but really, who cares. lol. Good service, clean location, fair prices and amazing quality make this a true 5 star burger joint. Dont hesitate to try them out.

I would say 3 stars for inconsistency. Ive been here quite a few times and it was really good, and Ive also been a few times where it was not great. I went on Sunday and there were just a whole list of issues: Their version of a summer beer came out warm. Gross. Chips with the queso were stale (although their queso & salsas are bomb) . Overlooked burger - got well done when asked for medium. Soggy fries (?!). I will say that even when their burgers are over cooked they are still really good. They have a ton of fun combinations while still housing a staple classic burger, veggie burger, and amazing salmon and quinoa burger. Their sauces are really flavorful and match the food perfectly. This place can be a hit or miss (maybe they just get sloppy on sundays...) but its worth a try. And yes, I admit that I was so excited for my burger that a picture failed to be taken.

So I dont come here often because Im a simple, sloppy, cheese meat lettuce and bun guy. But today I wanted a bar top, a good burger, and a craft beer Ive never had before. So...Rodeo Goat. Being summer in Dallas I found a delicious refreshing lighter beer (green flash blonde). But now, to find a burger. All the specialty burgers look great and all but like I said, less is more to me. So I found the most basic burger on the menu (Royale with Cheese) and asked to make a few additions/changes to it. No prob. And damn it son... So if youre a simple burger boy or girl like me heres what you do: royale with cheese, add shredded lettuce, and sub mayo for mustard (because America). They load it with cheese and the jalapeño bacon is crisp and juicy, and I detected some chives. DO IT.

This place is awesome. Was staying in Dallas for a few days for business and saw this place nearby my hotel. The atmosphere is really casual - a "sit where ever you want" kind of place. Its a bit loud (cinder block walls), but not too distracting. I sat at the bar below the "Rodeo Goat" (no, really, its a stuffed goat with a saddle on it), and chatted with the staff on and off. Really cool people who were more than gracious and helped me choose a local beer and which burger I should get. Which reminds me... damn good burgers. Wow. Crazy amounts of flavor, especially when teamed with some hand-cut fries. I ended the night with some Blue Bell ice cream and couldnt have been happier. If youre in Dallas, definitely stop by this place. You wont regret it.
