There were 4 of us. The other 3 got oysters as an app and raved about them. That was about it. Our main courses were unseasoned and has no flavor. In fact, the best part of my plate was the beans. I ordered the Tacos Carne Asasa. It came 3 to a plate with beans and rice. The rice almost had a texture of couscous. It was flavorless and would almost disintegrate in your fingers. The pico was just tomatoes and the beef was sliced up into small cubes. I ate 2 of the 3. The 2nd because I was so hungry. I understand it was a seafood bar but how can a mexican restaurant serve a mexican dish in such poor fashion? The check took a while to get to the table after having asked and instead of splitting like we initially requested, he insinuated that it would just be one check. I paid cash while the other 3 paid with a card. When they got their respective tickets, they noticed an automatic gratuity that was added to their checks. Not the best expeience that we all feel we over paid for and left still hungry. Salsa was ok, mango chili margs were good.

The staff was amazing here! The food was really good the blue point oysters were amazing! I really loved how they served it with key limes and a red sauce. It was quite different and enjoyable. The calamari was perfect and I also love the sauce is served with that as well. A good alternative to marinara with Serrano sauce instead. Our meal was whole red fish with a stewed tomato sauce suggested by the waitress. It was actually really, really good! This is a perfect place for a date night with three different sections that you can sit in. Theres a tiki hut patio with air conditioning, a cantina section like that you would see in Mexico and theres a bar area. The bar area is a little more upscale with a solid Cedar countertop bar.

Im from Mazatlan Sinaloa all we eat there is mariscos..Ive eaten here a couple of times. Heres my review, Ive tried callo de hacha scallops which is not found on the menu I believe, but they were nice enough to fix us a plate upon request for my brother and I, and I really liked "El Maleficio" is an exellent cocktail, Ive never had it before in my life, so that being said, Im sure everything else must be good! If you have high expectations on mexican seafood this is the place to go.. Donald Trump is all wrong!!.. Please look into him.

Always love going to this place. It is not a typical find in any Texas town. I would imagine you would have to go to the state of Sinaloa to actually find something truly similar within. Considering a friend of mine from Sinaloa recommended this place, Palapas really brings something that most Texans are not familiar with - Mexican fish dishes that arent fried fish tacos. Long story short, Margaritas are fantastic, buy the ceviche with avocado, and dont forget the Mahi Mahi tacos to finish it all off. Go here.

Food was okay, Ive had better mexican food. Did not like that they charge you for chips! When I asked for my ticket to pay I asked the waitress to change the tip amount because I wasnt going to tip $17!!! It was just me, my husband and son. She only filled our drinks twice so comon. Anyway, she said I have to call my manager because I cant do that. I was like its okay forget about it. I will give you that tip. Ending up paying $90 for our dinner! But never again will we go there!

1 star for the ceviche ONLY..I was not amazed by the $25 plate Pescado Sarandiado..very poor taste (not prepared like in Sinaloa)i dont mind the price when the quality of the food worth it. Not to mention the Camarones ala diabla sauce was not spicy..basically tomatoe sauce. .i love seafood & i know the sauce SHOULD BE SPICY :( ...i am not the type of person to complain & get free food lol i just rate it as is & do not return :)

Wonderful dinning experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was greeted at the door and seated immediately. The server was attentive, asked about my food preferences, and suggested items he thought I might like...which I did! The ambiance was also pleasant. I absolutely loved the salsa music playing in the background. Ill definitely be returning.

We were told that Palapas had great sea food. Well we came to try it and O.M.G. Ask the waiter for recomendtions and they will hide you. I asked for that coconut shrimp coctail . The best I had in years. My husband got the 7 mares awsome. Son had fish strips and fries good. Prices are pretty reasonable . And Carlos the waiter was really nice .. thank you

Always a great experience, always fresh, delicious seafood, always cold micheladas and maragaritas, never a bad option. One of my favorite spots in Dallas for authentic Mexican seafood. If you like cóctel, try the Mariscoco. Its my go-to. And Ive never been charged for chips/salsa in response to one negative review I saw.

Just a feel good place. Easy to just hangout and enjoy cold beer, blue point oysters and my favorite ceviche in the city. Try Pescado Zarandeado)-fish splayed over a smoking grill and seasoned with lime, pepper, onion, and our famous garlic and tomato sauce. It is a Sinaloa favorite and MINE!

This cozy restaurant has some great Mexican seafood options and good margaritas. There is no pretentiousness and the service is always outstanding. Truly a gem in an area that needs more of them - we miss living down the street from these guys. Try the brisket tacos, too - SOOOO GOOD!

Only reason for the 4 stars was due to the group playing in the small space! Awesome food service was polite and very speedy. But the music was so Loud in such a small space.
