Sorry for this lengthy review and horrible grammar, however I am so tired and just wanted to get this off my chest before going to sleep. Let me first say the food at the E Bar is great and usually the food hardly change. Sometimes restaurants have their off days when it comes to recipes. Maybe an ingredient is put in more or less in a dish and a regular customer can tell. Ill get to the point today I noticed the salsa was different; it was sweeter than usual no big deal whatever. I asked if they are trying something new with the salsa. The answer was "no however, the jalapeno may have been sweeter this go around". I said "understandable" I didnt particularly mind it I was just wondering. I noticed we had been waiting 35 mins to receive our food while the next couple that came in 25 mins after us received their appetizer and 2 entrees all within 13 mins. I went to the manager/owner wondering why did it take so long (thinking for future reference I wont order whatever it is that take more time if Im in a hurry.) Also, it didnt particularly sit well with me that the people next to us received their food way before us and we had been waiting way before they got there. The owner was explaining the fried jalapenos take longer to cook. I shook my head "thats understandable". I still couldnt wrap my head around it because only one appetizer (jalapenos) was ready out of the 3 (elotes and nachos). However, I was going to let it go. I was tired, just came from work and all I wanted to do was drink and eat. Upon trying to tell him that it would improve the customer service if the wait time was better and letting us know how long it would take would make a huge difference, he kept over talking me (Im a woman) and making comparisons between the dishes, pointing at the customers I previously referenced (causing a scene). Im sure that didnt make the customers feel comfortable. The behavior was very unprofessional and bizarre to me! I hadnt finished my sentence stopping at "it would", before he interrupted me. What should have been an insightful nugget from a customer (who actually didnt want a discount or want it on the house because my husband and I are just not those people), it turned into him talking over me (which every time I tried to say something he cut me off) in an argumentative tone, and him saying "You Know What Its On The House!" with a disgusting attitude. I finally got out "thats actually not what I wanted all I wanted was for you to listen". I told him we dont need a discount or a free meal all you had to do is listen. Im upset because if he would have simply actively listened he would have known our intentions. I left the food and walked out with my husband, no one never talks to me like that and cause such a scene. I was too tired today and had no patience. Customers are not always right and Ive worked in customer service for years, and even so we dont tell them their right or wrong we just listen. Right or wrong we go over and beyond for our patients. However, I dont expect this out of restaurants, they are busy. Especially The EBar is always busy. I just dont expect much, though that doesnt mean they shouldnt strive to do better. Moving on, I dont believe I did anything wrong or out of the ordinary and I did not deserve that treatment. I have referred over 30 people to the E Bar including doctors, family, friends and coworkers. Whenever our doctor take us out to eat the first place I mention is E Bar. However, this man talked to me as if I was trying to take advantage of him and his business which is so far from the truth. My husband is now upset because he couldnt hear anything because it was loud, all he saw was his gestures towards the customers and didnt understand what happened as we just wanted to be informational. I will never go back and its unfortunate because it was actually one of my favorite places to dine. Upon telling this man this he said "thats fine". I just hope this owner learns that customer service is everything and everybody does not want to take advantage of you.

What a dilemma. Your friends want to go to a bar to watch the Cowboys, but youre craving Mexican food. Like low blood pressure in the third trimester pregnant lady craving it. So you convince them to come to Es. Sure they balk about trying a new place, but you persuade them. And the numerous liquor bottles and six tvs lining the wall are enough to shut them up. But you dont care, all you know is within a few minutes youre hands deep into chips and salsa. Cool, and not too spicy. You select from the numerous entrees available and within a few more minutes youre greeted by a scorching hot plate of cheesy Mexican food goodness, and at a reasonable price. Just like mom used to make. Or maybe like she would have if she loved you. Thanks for the Taco Bell, mom. But forget that. The Cowboys lost, forget that too. Just revel in the full belly feeling when the check comes and, who knows, maybe the Stars will win this year.

The only reason we went to this place was because we saw the picture of the tortilla soup. So we had to try it out. Couldnt believe that this place is so close to my house. There arent that many restaurants in that particular area but it was still cool. I like that the patio is in enclosed during inclement weather days. So the service was really great. I want to say our waiters name was Chad, he gave us the history on the spot and didnt realize that this is the same owner that owns Primos. The food was great too! I always like to go to Tex-Mex restos and see how their salsa is and their salsa is grade A1. But the margaritas that we had were more than great, they were awesome! All I can say is that once we got home, we went to sleep and didnt wake up till the next morning. Daytime drinking at its finest! Will definitely go back there again!

The BEST margaritas in town, not to mention the food is amazing too. The shrimp tacos are one of my favorites but I really have never been disappointed with anything I have eaten here. One of the best things, though, is that they always have the same people working there. We stop in almost every weekend and everyone knows us and we know them. They are so friendly...its like coming home! Chad is our favorite waiter. He will take great care of you, but if you dont get him, dont worry because everyone else is fantastic too!

I had a good time because I was surrounded with friends but we had a long wait for our food. I had an even longer wait because the waiter either lost or forgot my order. My friend knows the owner and apparently they had a cook not show up so I guess considering that Ill go again with a date and have a better review of the place. Id also like to suggest that you guys either buy a flower tortilla machine or have them made because fresh flower tortillas are a signature for any Mexican restaurant in my opinion.
