How to cramp a 4-course menu in 40 minutes... but first let me start with the positives... the dishes were original, nicely crafted and very well prepared: my sole was just a little crispy on the outside while still flaky inside... the dark-chocolate fondue was the perfect dessert... reservation management and ambiance inside the restaurant was perfect... but dont rush people who pay $55/person (excluding drinks and tip) through 4 courses in 40 minutes. How is that even possible ? It started with getting the appetizer very quickly after ordering, then when asked where are amuse-bouche (teaser) plate was, they quickly stuffed this in between the appetizer and main dish. The server then asked if he could remove the plate before my wife had even finished her dish, and as soon as the plate was taken away, the fondue pot made its appearance. The check was served just as we were starting the dessert: at 7:40 (we arrived on time for a 7:00 pm reservation). Oh yes: we couldnt finish our bottle of wine over this cramped dinner experience - so we just remained at our table for 15 minutes after dessert, to enjoy our wine. Would have been better to be able to enjoy the food at the same pace... (visit 2/14/2017; food per person: $55; bottle of wine $65 - excluding tax and tip)

This is a perfect place for both a relaxed enjoyment of a glass or bottle of wine (they have a very good selection) or a romantic dinner. We went here a couple of nights ago and really enjoyed the food, the selection of wine flights and the wine recommendations from the waiter. We are going back in two weeks when the Summer concerts series kicks off around mid April with live music every Saturday. That lasts until the end of October so there is definitely enough opportunity to enjoy this wine bar.

We went to this restaurant for the first time last week. We ordered several appetizers and entrees and shared everything. What a wonderful surprise this place was. The atmosphere was intimate and cozy and the food was amazing. Everything we tasted was wonderful. Our waiter was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. His recommendations were perfect and his service was impeccable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend CRU!

This once attractive place is now rundown. they have holes in the seats. The tables were sticky and tacky with age. The wine flights were mediocre at best. I ordered a tempernillo thats tasted like it was open for a month. I ordered $4 calamari and got a few crumbs on a plate. We also ordered mussels which were tasty but too few and the bread was burnt. If they decide to get real about the restaurant again I will visit again otherwise Im staying away.

Classy! Our server was new, but even she gave very professional service. It made the whole experience top notch. The presentation of the food and drinks was impeccable. The cheese platters were incredibly delicious!
