Keep it simple stupid is about the easiest way to say it. My husband and i ate here this evening at the Preston Royal location and were so glad we had gin and tonics cause they were the best thing we had all evening. We started with the humus, how can you mess up humus you ask? Well by adding another earthy component like olive tampinada(?). The dish cried out for something to brighten it up. Just a slight squeeze of lemon would have done the trick. Next up Ahi tuna tostadas. OMG, way too many notes. This could have been chopped horse meat for all we could taste. The Ahi was SMOTHERED in a sweet and sour BBQ whatever to the point that it obliterated the taste of the tuna. You had mashed avos on the bottom then tuna then the same tomato chop on top as the humus. When you bit into the whole thing is was one big soggy tasteless bite except for the sweet and sour whatever. Moving on to the TOASTED BEET SALAD" okay call me dumb but if you list beets as the first ingredient int he title it should be the star right? Wrong! I found less than 10 1/4 cubes of beets buried in a pile of green. Now the salad was nice, good flavor what with the citrus and nut but come on call it field greens salad with beets. Then main course; an uneven cut of salmon that was nice on other end and dry as shoe leather on the other. Finally the dessert. Strawberry shortcake with macerated strawberries and cream. The "shortcake" was a sugar biscuit that was wonderful! Cream was great the strawberry jus was lovely, although the definition of macerated means softened win liquid it would hardly describe these strawberries. All in all after spending $108.00 on dinner... not so much. You want good American cuisine go to R & H Kitchens.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Not much more to say. My wife and I arrived around 6:30 on a Thursday evening expecting to wait maybe an hour for a table. We were told it would be an hour and a half, and we agreed to wait. Well, it took TWO AND A HALF hours to get a table. By this time we were both incredible hacked off, but it was too late to go anywhere else. The hostess was incredibly rude as I periodically checked in with her to see if our table was ready. Then it took another hour for our food to arrive. So, we didnt actually eat anything until close to 10:00. And to top it off the food was only OK - about the same quality as Chilis. Plus the place was full of old people - not a cool atmosphere – it felt like the movie Cocoon. So, I will never, ever go back to Neighborhood Services and certainly would not recommend it.

From top to bottom a great experience. Very professional service throughout the meal. With so many interesting choices it was difficult to decide but settled on the Nebraska Steak and frites. But I shouldnt skip over the starters. The fried asparagus were lightly breaded and had great flavor. The meatballs had a crisp outside and well seasoned inside. The sauce they were served in would be terrific as a side with some Italian bread. The steak was well seasoned and the side of voodoo pepper sauce added just the right spice. We also side dishes of brussels sprouts and mac & cheese that were terrific. Unfortunately had no room for dessert after sampling all of that.

Love NHS! I like that it weeds out the riff-raff, because it is $$$$. Thats why we go. If you like gourmet dishes prepared with talent, creativity and ingenuity- this is your place. Go early or be prepared to wait. Its always busy. The bar is small and quaint. The wine list is smart. I usually get the East or West coast fish, but the pasta specials are tasty too. Service is impeccable. Call ahead for a rez, which just means you get first available after you arrive. Sometimes when its this good - its good to wait.

We had a reservation for noon, everyone was there, the hostess sat people at the only table big enough for 5 that was open and assured us another was opening soon. Twenty minutes later another table opened up and they sat a SECOND party before us. We asked why and they said they had a reservation for 12:30. We had one for 12:00. The hostess ignored us and refused to acknowledge us after that. Had to end up leaving and going somewhere else.

I took a date here on February 11. The service was excellent. My table was not ready at the time of my reservation I had to wait for about 10 minutes, but the wait staff and the host made up for it by being absolutely amazing. It seems on busy nights they have a tendency to book reservations in a tight fashion. Something they may want to be mindful of in the future.

Fantastic food, great service, good cocktails. The filet was great, the wedge too, mahi mahi, burger, and snitzel. Cool clubby atmosphere. Just what four high school pals on the way to the Mavs game needed. Im a pretty sophisticated diner, originally from Dallas and now in Napa area. So picky in a good way.

Love the variety and great presentation. Deviled eggs are wonderful. Drinks well poured. Nice staff. Do not get in a hurry however. Be prepared to wait even if you call ahead. Leave room for desert!
