I am only giving this place a two star review because the older hostess was incredibly nice and helpful. The band was ok and the drink prices were a bit expensive but not over the top. Our waitress (one with a piercing in the middle of her upper lip) was not only horrible but incredibly rude. When we got in it took her about ten mins to even come to our table. No greeting but whatever I wasnt going to sweat it. The nice hostess than moved us to another table that had opened up because it was closer to the stage (thank you) and about 10 feet from where we were previously seated in this very small venue (it was no mystery where we were at). After about thirty mins I waived the waitress down about my drinks and she LECTURED me about how it was my fault as I am not suppose to move. Then she brought our drinks but had forgotten two from the order, I didnt bother to argue with her because I was still determined to have a good night. I am a pretty strong drinker and a very good tipper. I had to waive her down every time I needed another drink and I was not being the least bit impatient, I could have easy had another 3-4 drinks during the time I was there had she cared to be even the slightest bit attentive. However, when I asked for the check (after I waived her down again) she was incredibly quick and literally HOVERED over me until I signed the ticket and looked at her tip. Unbelievable. I myself have worked in the service industry for 8 years and I have never seen someone so unprofessional and inhospitable.

My second time here was very poor. I also brought 2 friends with me from Oklahoma. The first time was awesome, the food was great. I dont know what really happened, but it is very unacceptable . My husband is Jamaican and a damn good cook. The Jerk shrimp I had was horrific to say the least. They literally just poured the jerk sauce over the shrimp. I couldnt even eat my food it was so bad. I dont know these people and they dont know me. I dont even feel comfortable to bring my husband here I thought it would be nice for him to go, some place like this away from home but i was wrong. It is a shame that this goes on . Im very disappointed in the service and food here. Im not some young kid who doesnt know better. I was raised with Jamaicans and Africans and have never been treated so badly. They also charged us $15.00 at the door when the last time it was only $10.00 . Based on my level of Awareness and enlightenment I have a hard time lower my Vibration to accommodate negative and low vibrating people. We as a people must do better. There is a real WAR and Real Enemies and not your brother and sisters . Wake Up and know YOU are Great. Love & Light Josie

Never again will I step foot in this establishment. I ordered brown stew snapper which is listed on the menu for 16.95 when I get my bill its 31.00. Why? Because they are in the business of bait and switch here. Same with the rum punch its 12.00 for a plastic cup. They tell you its strong and worth it but when you take a drink its weak and worth 8.00 maybe even 6.00. People probably dont even care to read these but I waited 35 minutes for my food and check to learn this. The dick that runs the bar says to me Im sorry theres nothing I can do. I know the menu says 16.95 but I cant sell it to you for that price, so you can just leave it. This is my 2nd time coming and my 1st time ordering food. NEVER AGAIN! I will never ever recommend this place. Now im out of 35 mins and food. Goodness Im pissed!

A lunch buffet that cost $9.95 the food was delicious a wide range of varieties of succulents Caribbean food from the fish to the beef to the chicken and the wonderful crisp salad this week succulent fruit salad the vegetables cooked just right you can not do better for lunch.... if you really want to get your party on Saturday and Sunday the music is off the charts wish DJ Playboy DJ Agnes and the live bands... I threw my 50th birthday party there and my friends are still talking about it three years later... the owner came to me and told me I had nothing to worry about for my party and I absolutely did not

I only go for the music and I like the vibe here. As others have said the staff and at the door and some of the bartenders are a little stiff. However, once you get a few drinks in you and hear some tunes its pretty good. Fri is quiet until midnight and sat gets going around 10-11pm. *Sometimes* the DJ yacks a little too much between songs or plays a good song for 15 seconds...but not all the time, its really hit or miss. Good mix of R&B, hip hop and of course Reggae. Drink prices seem fine to me and they measure the alcohol out. Cheers! -jason

I have been coming to Heroes for over 3 years. Never had a bad experience until now. My friend and I came to eat and we had a horrible waitress named "J". She came to the table and got our food order. She didnt come back to ask about drinks. So I had to go fetch her just to place a drink order. She brought the food didnt ask hows everything. We finished our food and she NEVER came back to check on us. Therefore, I had to go fetch her again just to pay for our food!! Overall food and music is good! Be sure not to get her as your waitress.

Great food and music. Jerk chicken .. fantastic. Appreciated the gravy sauce. Hostess nice and helpful. People around us really enjoyed the atmosphere...us too. Great chef. Needs brighter lights at the inside entrance. Needs fresher scent when entering. Smelled like wet dog. We turned around to leave but glad we went back in to see and experience. Glad we did ! We enjoyed the food and drinks. Needs thorough cleaning, painting, and dusting from top to bottom. Great place. A little more love would take it to the next level.

Oh goddddd!! The owner needs to do something about the unbearable heat in this place! Its hella hottt and uncomfortable, especially in the Summer! He is always there and is always walking up and down all night, so he knows how disgustingly uncomfortable it is. Additionally, the very gritty and uneven terrain outside in the compound will cause you to lose your balance and eat the lifts off yor shoe heels! If you have asthma, then walk with your pump if you use one.

Man Heroes use to be my favorite Spot in the SAFE. It was one of the first places that was introduced to me when I moved here 1.5 years ago. Now, its different, they hold the door for no reason and they charge $15 to get in. Im highly disappointed and I hope the owner comes to his senses. If not, it may not be open to much longer. A good thing is getting ruined and I know Im not the only one who feels the same way. I seriously doubt Ill ever come back.
