11/22/15 1am -The main thing that I really disliked about this place was that almost all of the (younger) staff were really unprofessional! 90% of the time they were cussing while sitting around half working. Three of them were speaking very poorly about other employees calling them names, yelling across the room, also some employees left a bad mess on the table after their break leaving someone else to clean. If they were not talking badly they were texting on the job or playing music. The main employee that was the reason I wanted to give this rating was asking his friends if they could clean for him. He was around 19, 56", light skinned, deep voice, dark short-medium hair. Just really unprofessional. He was the one shouting and cursing. It was my first time ever visiting and I will never go back. If I could I would have rated it 0 stars! One thing I must say is that our food was correct and prompt. I regret not getting his name but there was a middle aged gentleman working there that was very kind. He held the door open for me and went all the way downstairs to get me condiments. I was actually debating on giving him a tip! Compared to everyone else he was great.

Bad. Quite possibly the worst Whataburger in Corpus...definitely the slowest. God help you if you get the older Mexican woman at the second window where you get your food. She doesnt seem to know the menu so when you ask for a side of steak sauce, for example, she brings back everything but steak sauce. And then when you DO get what you asked for, theres barely ANYTHING in the container but of course you get charged for it. Its so bad, I have to order 2 sides of whatever sauce Im trying to get and even then, they forget to put the second one in there. Then, when I ask them for the second one, they act like its being taken outta their paycheck. Its beyond ridiculous. The fries are rarely hot...usually cold and stale...the burgers are always wrong. This place needs a complete overhaul. Sucks that its the only one close by or Id never go there. But there IS a good side.. if you happen to catch them on the one good day outta the entire week (if that, even), their food is hot and your order is correct. I suggest you just avoid this location all together.

Ive eaten at this chain for +15 years, literally since before I could walk, and this is their premiere restaurant. That being said the customer service was lousy at best, they were not carrying out food to their customers like they do at EVERY other whataburger. Upon asking the employee why, his explanation was "were by the bay, were too busy for that." The restaurant was practically empty. I understand cutting labor costs, but this was a lazy cop out by management and Im really not impressed. A simple order of "ketchup and cheese only" was rang up correctly, and then goofed up by the cooks. Ive worked fast food, Im a distributor for a living, and the sheer lack of customer service was appalling. I wouldnt dream of treating a customer this way. On top of all of this the restaurant was not well kept, not a clean table in sight, trash on the floor, just messy and not to their usual standard. A major discredit to the chain as a whole. It will be a long time before I eat at this one again.

This was my second trip to this location. The first time I had no issues but this time I was very disappointed. When I first came in to the location it was not clean. When I went to make my order the person behind the counter looked like she did not want to be working at all. There was no hello. I got the what would you like. Even then she look like it even hurt to talk. I was with some and they all got their meals really fast. My order never came, we where pressed for time. When I tried to communicate to a manager she was rude. At that point I decided that I would just leave. I did not want to cause a seen with my students. She decided to follow me out the door yelling at me. I explained again that I did not want to cause a seen and left without food or a refund.

Im normally a Whataburger fan, but this one was atrocious, despite being the flagship. Filthy inside. We ordered a box of chicken strips and a large order or fries just to snack on. Maybe the easiest order in the world. 30 minutes later we went down to find out what had happened to our order. Another group of people was already talking to the "manager" about their order getting screwed up while he just gave them a blank stare. Most of the other employees just shuffled around in the meantime. After 5 minutes waiting to get a chance to talk to the deadbeat manager, we just gave up and left. I realized I really didnt want to eat anything those clowns made anyway, and it wasnt worth waiting just to get my $6 back.

Went there just 15 minutes ago. The place had a lot of people and the service was awful. Not only did it take 45 minutes to get two #1 meals, the people were rude and got the order wrong! We ended up with a cold whataburger junior meal, a burger without fries and a drink, and the fries were stale. While inside, my boyfriend said the employees were rude and everyone kept returning their incorrect meals. I live in C.C. So I know there are a gazillion other whataburgers, but, lots of the people inside were tourists and its the Whataburger By The Bay so its a big deal. if the horrible streets dont turn tourists away, the service at that restaurant will.

Location is nice and the doorman/security guy at the entrance was ultra friendly and welcoming. Then we went inside and had the unfortunate pleasure of getting served by the rudest cashier ever - Dezarea. She acted like we were imposing on her by placing an order - frowning the whole time, pretending not to hear when we asked a question, and then annoyingly giving a sarcastic response. She has zero business working in the service industry. If they must keep her, they need to either retrain her or reassign her to toilet duty. Worst service at a fast food restaurant ever!

This place is so dirty. We love eating at this chain but this location is so dirty. Walked out to sit on the upper deck which is the reason we came to this one and not the one down the road from us. There was a barrel of trash right as we walked out the door and trash scattered all over the ground. The tables outside look like they have almost never been cleaned! Might try to come here again some day hoping they can clean up and maintain it. My husband thinks at minimal the deck should be powerwashed once a week to get rid of the bird poop and spills on the cement.

Didnt have as good as an experience as I would have liked to have.... Thought they had french toast sticks and was looking forward to ordering that, but they didnt so I had to order the pancake platter, and the pancakes didnt have any chocolate chips or powdered sugar! My mom ordered a biscuit and asked for NO CHEESE, but then of course it came with cheese on it ON TOP OF THAT, the wait also took a while, and we didnt like that because we wanted to see our little friends soccer game, but we ended up missing half of it. Dont think we should come back here next time.
