In a word "Horrible". In two words "Utter Horrible". They should be booked for cheating ideally. We were 4 people. As soon as we sat down, they got us 4 soup bowls even though they didnt ask or we ordered. We thought it might be complimentary. We checked the menu and all the items were priced at 14$. Since this is the first time and we did not know the quantity, we ordered two items. Usually Thai restaurants else where gives enough quantity for an item to fill more than a person. Here, it was not even enough for a cat to feed. They got a small bowl of curry with two spoonfuls of rice. We ordered extra rice. Another two spoonfuls for 3$. Food was bad enough that they did not make it to our specifications. Finally when I saw the bill, it was 40$. They charged for two soups(3$) that they initially got and we did not even had. When I asked about it, they said since we ordered only two items and not 4, they charged for the soup. When I asked why did they even bring it in the first place when we did not even order. The answer was amazing. "Thats how business works Sir. 4 people, 4 waters, 4 soups, 4 plates, 4 spoons". Really? Its plain cheating. I havent had such an experience in any other restaurant in USA. If some one writes a positive review about this restaurant, I would doubt their credibility as well. There is a subway just across the street. Please stop your craving for a day for Thai food and go there. Try some better Thai food some where else. I would rather die starving than dining there ever again.

First Ill start on a positive note: The food is great. I especially like the Thai tea. I have read reviews from people who were charged for water, or people who were charged to bring water in. My water was free, however, it came with another drink I ordered. I did not order a meal, and I was charged for the usually free appetizers. The service varies. I knew the waiter there, and he was attentive. The owners however, dont pay attention to you unless you look like you have money. When the waiter introduced them to me as someone who worked for a wealthy friend of theirs, their attitude changed. It wasnt unexpected, people my age are not good tippers, and there were guys in suits all over the place, but I wish they had been more subtle about it. To anybody dining here, here is my advice: 1. If you get a food or drink you did not expect, or not specifically listed on the menu (such as water with your drink, or a side dish) ask if youre being charged extra for it. 2. Examine your bill carefully before you pay. 3. If you break something and they ask you to pay (which has not happened to a CUSTOMER to my knowlege, but just in case), ask to see a receipt for the item. If you cant get a receipt, dont pay, no matter what they tell you. You do not want to be paying $60 for an alleged hand made or imported item that was actually just bought from the dollar tree. So to summarize: Food is awesome, but the people running the place are very greedy. Take caution!

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!! BEWARE AND AVOID A HEADACHE...!The service was extremely bad! The food was fair. The male owner kept on running people off. Letting the customers know that they were too busy... not attending to the customers by sitting them at a timely manner. Not getting their drinks nor their orders. 5 families, couples left while we were there. I cant believe, how they keep business going but it seems its mainly out of towners ( tourists) who dont know about the restaurants service... we decided to stay and make the best out of it...I had to call the male waiter/ owner to place our drink order and food order as well... were really disappointed at the end with a mandatory 20% tip on the tab for our family of two adults and 2 toddlers! Not for bad service...!The lady owner said she has the 20% gratuity posted in the front of restaurant. We saw it on our way out in tiny print!! Also, the owner was wearing gloves with which she was cooking. Oily and dirty with food and she took our credit card payment with them. We had to clean the oil after... cant believe we paid for this.! To complete this, the mens bathroom was clogged up and the womans bathroom was inaccesible with chairs on the front of the door. PLEASE AVOID THE Disappointment and dont spend your money there!!!

Wow. I know restaurants are out to make a buck, but this experience was incredible. We saw highway signs and were in the mood for Thai, so we stopped in. We were seated and all five of us ordered water. We were informed they only sold bottled water... so we declined completely from drinks. The lunch prices were 10$ a plate and up. We were informed that if we had our own water, we would be charged for drinking it in the restaurant. The audacity! We should have left then. One of asked for brown rice instead of the white rice the meal came with... they were charged five extra dollars for the very, very small portion of brown rice that came. And then, a +20% gratuity was forcefully added. No tip was deserved. When questioned, the waitress said that forced gratuities were not added for individuals or groups of two... just read some of the other reviews and youll see thats a lie. Hopefully someone will check reviews on their smart phone before eating here and get some heads up. The food may be good, but this restaurant will nickle and dime you to death, and their customer service is poor. Not to mention, the restrooms are disgusting, and are part of the hotel next door (NOT part of the restaurant itself). Beware! Go somewhere else.

The four stars are for foods only. I would give 5 stars for the Thai ambient atmosphere. It is located near the beach and downtown, which is one reason for the above normal prices on the menu...i.e. high rent. The strong Thai sweat tea tasted as my request. The Tod Mun/Fried fish patties appetizer tasted authentic, but a little on the dark side...not tough. The Pad Kee Mao/Drunken Noodle with chicken and extra spicy was authentic, but I was accustom to Pad Kee Mao with tomato too. Oh, the owner is from the Southern Thailand so this Thai restaurant doesnt serve pork products; this could be the Muslim influences. Without pork products on the menu, it would be difficult to make authentic Thai dishes. However, their menu is small and short with the most popular dishes only. I will return to try their Thai Massaman curry since this dish has middle east and south Asia influences. Massaman curry is commonly made with beef, goat/sheep, or chicken in the south; pork, beef, or chick is commonly used in other regions. Their Thai coconut ice-cream was edible, but it could be better proper ingredients.

This is the 2ND time I reviewed a resturant. I only do it if I feel that the reviews are really unfair and potentially harmful to a legitimate business. I went Tuesday for lunch w/ girlfriend. I ordered Hawaiian style rice noodles w / coconut sauce and clay pot beef , $13.95 ea. and 2 Sapparo reserve thai beers. We shared the dishes asian style. OMG NO BULLS$!T it was amazing. The 2 dishes complimented each other perfectly. Not expecting much from this area, SouthTexas isnt known for good cuisine. Damm! I was surprised. Im not going into detail because I think it neg.sways expectations and experience I expected the beer to be stale and it wasnt. Expensive not really..it was worth what I paid, $49.00 plus tip. I never go by reviews on food only the service and cleanliness. Oh yes service was excellent asian couple sweet funny and humble deserve good tip and very clean. Menus are different but asian places work w/ many menus its not uncommon ask for stuff you want and nego. Price of not on menu.
