We stumbled across this place when trying to meet some friends at the Highway 87 Cafe. Our GPS kept taking us to a gas station using the address listed in Google so we gave up and stopped at this place instead. We all had the breakfast buffet. It was very delicious. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Everything was great. Coffee was hot and fresh. The cook even brought us over some homemade salsa for our eggs which we all really liked. Would have been 5-stars but the "sunny-side up" eggs in the buffet were very under-cooked. The yolk was completely liquid. Would have also liked to see hashbrowns instead of just diced potatoes.

When I went there it was half an hour before closing time, It appeared I was the last customer for the day. The staff could not have been more friendly and talkative. The food was very nice; home-style, comfort food. I got a chicken fried steak and a double D" burger with fried mushrooms all of which had large portions and it was a lot of food. They forgot to put the salad that came with the CFS in the bag, but its okay because we still ended up with soo much food. I will return to try their very diverse menu. They have dishes of many food genres including Tex-mex, Italian, German, Thai, Indian and others.

WOW! Top Shelf! If youre looking for good food and amazing Texas hospitality? Then you need to come here. Great food. Awesome customer service. We got the black and blue burger and the Texan burger. Both were fantastic. The restraunt area is very welcoming and the bar area has a great atmosphere with pool tables. Teresa was our waitress and she was great, she put cherry on top. So in other words, if you pass through Comfort, TX and dont stop here then you are doing yourself an injustice.

When going out to eat its not all about the food. The resturant provides the atmosphere, the waitress provides the hospitality, and the cook provides delicious meal that become the topic of conversation. At Double Ds, Nicole made sure we were satisfied. She is a great waitress. The food was amazing. The Californian Burger was juicy and moist but dripping all over. The flavors were consistent through and through.

Food was terrible. Only one person working. Supposedly good migas, what a joke. Everything was left on the plates. Asked for coffee and got half a cup. Had to go and get more coffee. The cook, waiter and cashier (same person) was arguing with someone in the kitchen. Will not be going back and will not recommend to anyone. Btw, the reason we went was that we heard migas were great. Must of been another Double D.

This place absolutely has the best burgers in Texas....made exactly how I wanted mine. And the onion rings, made from scratch...not frozen, are out of this world. The service I received from the waiter, Bo, was top of the line. He continuously came by to see if we needed anything else and to ask how the food was. The atmosphere is friendly and pleasant. I can not wait for their bar to open next week.

Very nice family restaurant with excellent, friendly service. This isnt just a diner. They have interesting German, Tex-Mex and French options on the back of the menu, which adds a cosmopolitan feel. Im even vegetarian and Im leaving feeling satisfied, which says something in a small Texas town like Comfort! If youre in the area, stop by!

The service was great, the atmosphere was clean and welcoming, and the food was well priced and big portions! The onion rings were excellent and all the ingredients on the burger were really fresh. Definitely recommend it if you are in the area.

No shakes and register advertisement wasnt taken down. Three tables that arrived after us were served and completed their meal before our food came out. Once the food finally arrived it wasnt correct.

Friday fish special is very good; fish used varies between cod, tilapia, catfish, and somtimes even salmon. Waitstaff are in a constant turnover, so theyre almost always in training.
