Waitress tried to rip us off! We got there at 5:45, hoping to catch happy hour. Took a while to get seated, took even longer to get service. Shortly after 6, the waitress came by. We asked if we could still get the specials since we had been seated awhile. She said no, it is done by the computer. No remorse whatsoever that it took to long to check on us, no checkin with the manager. So, we ordered without getting drinks. My wife had the wrong meal come out- being upset about the waitresss attitude, she sent it back and asked to have it taken off the bill with no replacement. I finished my meal, then the waitress dropped the bill off and very quickly left. She still had my wifes food on the ticket. So to test her, I set the book out like it had a card in it. The waitress came by and grabbed it and turned, starting to walk away. We quickly said there was no card in there, and pointed out that she didnt take the meal off. "Oh, yeah, here. I have it printed, I meant to switch that for you". Suddenly she remembered? No she wasnt going to give the new ticket to us... she was hoping wed pay the whole thing and she would get the cost of the comped meal as a tip. In summary: food = moderate. Service = sucky, rude, try to rip you off.

Lived in Grand Forks for two years and ate at Paradisos and Mexican Village and both were not worth of being called Mexican restaurants. It tasted like they didn’t put seasoning in their food and it also tasted watered down. Last night we drove to Fargo and tried out the newer location on 45th Street. Can you say WOW!?! Their food was so good. Whoever cooks there was not afraid to use the seasoning in the kitchen. We ordered the Beef Nacho appetizer, ground beef chimichunga with rice and beans and raspberry iced teas. The appetizer was huge. Honestly we should have just ordered that and been done but it was so good we went ahead and ordered dinner. Ate like half of it and took the rest home. The only thing I would change about Mexican village is they put gravy on everything instead of cheese sauce. Personally I think it’s a way to make extra money because they charge you $2 extra to get cheese sauce. But whatever it was good so, yeah. I can’t wait to go again.

My husband and I ate here for the first time today, and we were disappointed with the food. However, the waitstaff and building were very nice. Our server and the host who sat us were both very friendly and pleasant. The building was very spacious with interesting, cantina-style architecture. You can tell that the person who designed the interior really put a lot of effort into the details. The same cant be said of the food, though. The tortilla chips werent made in-house (they looked like Tostitos) and the rest of the food tasted like it came out of a can. (With the exception of the jalapeño cream cheese - that was really tasty.) We didnt order any alcoholic drinks so I cant speak personally of them. The drink list did include a lot of flavors for margaritas and daquiris and I saw a gigantic margarita glass on someone elses table. Perhaps their drinks are their selling point, but its definitely not the food.

Worst Mexican Restraint I have ever been to in my life! Made a reservation a week in advance to find out when we got there that the restraint had no reservation for us. The salsa was a disgusting cheap paste, chips were straight up nacho chips out of a bag, and the food tasted horable and came in super small portions. My wife is on a diet, and she has to eat special tortilas, which they do not provide, so she brought her own in and ordored off the menu to add the ingredients to her tortilas. But they told her she wasnt allowed to bring her own food in, even though she is on a special diet. I went with a group of 10 people, and all of them said the food was horable. The food is just cheaply made and way over priced. I hate Taco bell, but I would rather eat tacos bell than eat here. None of us will ever be going back.

We are from Indiana and were visiting family in Fargo. We stopped to eat at the Mexican village and were very disappointed. The waiter we had was very rude. When we received our food it had cheese on top of it and I cant eat dairy so asked for a new order without the cheese on it. The waiter was very irritated by this and made it known to us. When we got our food it was terrible. We didnt eat more than a bite and asked for the check. The waiter asked what was wrong and we expressed that the rice was hard and the beans tasted like canned chili. He just said oh..okay and that was it. We paid for the meal since we had ordered it but will never go back again and wont recommend it to anyone.

Took a LONG time for service, food, etc. Had to find my own silverware. Waitress was nice, even apologetic....felt bad for her. They were short staffed it seemed. My taco salad was missing half the ingredients. My French dressing was watered down because there was water in the little ramekin. My daughter never got her chocolate milk refill. It took a long time to get anything, wed ask for something and get it 10-15 minutes later. My daughter found a hair on the bun of her burnt cheeseburger. It was just my 6 year old and me - taco salad and a cheeseburger and fries (75 min).

Attention business travelers or anyone that eats food. This restaurant has the worst food I ever tasted in my life . I have traveled for work for the last 13 years and eat all over America and never expended anything like this . I ordered to go or wouldve paid for this mess . I ordered fajita and the portion was so small but It didnt really matter because I tossed in the garbage after 2 no bite. They charge me extra for Guacamole thats was so so salty and turning brown......gross stuff. I dont know how this place can stay open for business .

Ate there on 6/26 service was horrible. Waiter didnt bring chip refill-didnt see him for almost 15 minutes- brings out food and I tell him he forgot the chips. ( not to hard to empty the crappy dollar store chips in a basket). Says yeah. Then just stands there. Ordered the seafood burrito for $12.95. Came alone on a plate - a 6 inch burrito with about a quarter cup of filling- which tasted horrible. All 3 of our drinks went dry. Horrible food and worse service. Will buy a gas station burrito before going there again.
