We showed up at 5:30 on a Friday, and the place was empty. It still took over 15 minutes for the waitress to come take our order (she seemed blatantly unhappy to be there), and then our food was cold....so was the coffee. I never saw the waitress wash her hands even once between cleaning the restaurant and going to get our food (the kitchen was in plain sight from our table). The waitress actually brought me out the wrong menu item, too. Then she acted like it was a hassle to have to make me what I had originally ordered, the guy (who I am assuming was the cook) actually asked if I was sure I wanted him to make it for me, because it might take 10 minutes, then he rolled his eyes when I said yes. The manager was walking around the whole time being buddy buddy with the waitress & never once addressed the issues, which he was obviously aware of. I was saying please and thank you the entire time, but they acted like I was asking for something ridiculous. And the waitress didnt seem new, she just clearly didnt care. She never smiled once or even asked how our food was. When we paid, she just grabbed the check and walked away, no thank you or anything- again, I wasnt being rude to them ever, I said please and thank you for everything. I love Cafe Brazil...but this location gives them a bad name. Ive eaten at the other locations several times, and they were fantastic; Ive been to this one three times, and each time I wished we had just spent the extra 10 minutes driving to the one on Belt Line.

I visited Cafe Brazil one evening for some quick dinner with my beau. After we were seated in the practically empty restaurant, it took forever and a half for the waitress to actually appear to take our order. Once the order was placed, it took another eternity for the food to arrive (and, of course, it was lukewarm). My beau specifically stated that he didnt want mayo on his burger, but of course, there was mayo. The waitress proceeded to take the top bun and came back several minutes later with the exact same bun after scraping the mayo off. It was quite easy to tell. Ugh. I had chicken quesadillas, which were bland at best. And their paring with baked potato pieces (with some dehydrated herbs) was somewhat confusing. Their huge menu seems to be all over the place, and the dishes consist of ingredients that are randomly slapped together and utterly mismatched. Needless to say, we havent set foot there again. I think Gordon Ramsay is due for a visit to give this place a complete menu/service makeover.

LOVE Cafe Brazil, this was my first stop into this location and I was shocked at the difference. I regularly frequent their Plano and Richardson locations and have also eaten at their Addison location and never had anything less than a terrific experience. And thats in dozens and dozens of visits. Imagine my surprise when the location in Carrollton was a complete 180 from what Im used to in the other locations. Beyond the appearance and the menu nothing was the same. The service was slow and poor and the food was cold. I was there at about 2:00 on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was about half full of customers and seemed to be amply staffed to serve the amount of customers. Nonetheless, no one seemed to pay any attention to any of the customers. I will not being going back to this location, thats for sure, but dont let a bad experience here keep you from trying their other locations.

Took nearly an hour to seat my party of 8, not for lack of space but for lack of common sense (completely ignored 2 4-tops next to each other and seated a party of 2 at one of them instead of one of 4 other tables that would have accomodated them). Service is always slow, it never seems like theres a manager keeping things moving. It was uncomfortably hot, and the last 4 times Ive tried to order eggs over medium they had raw whites-like a LOT of raw white. If you dont know how to cook an egg or at least not serve them RAW, dont make half the protein on your menu eggs. Not happy. Also no silverware & slow service. I see all this as more of a management and training issue than a lower level server issue

I have loved eating at Cafe Brazil for over two decades. The lovers lane location was a home away from home in my bar/club days. The fact that the Carrollton location was less than a mile away was a selling point for me when I bought my house. Went yesterday for breakfast and things had changed. New menus, new staff, and the food had gone way downhill. My wife and I both had the Brazilian breakfast because we love empanadas. They were 99%bread and bland. cBs famous rosemary potatoes were also bland and mushy. Even the eggs seemed to have no flavor. Really hoping it was an off day, but from the looks on faces around the restaraunts I am not optimistic.

This is quite possibly my new favorite restaurant. Cafe Brazil has a laid back, quiet, modern atmosphere that it pulls that off perfectly. The service and employees are always really down to earth and leave you alone unless they can see you need something, and if not then, only when a reasonable amount of time has passed since they last checked up on the table. What Im basically saying, is that they dont have loud, in your face service where you constantly get interrupted and bothered when you have food in your mouth and are in the middle of a conversation with the people/person at your table. HIGHLY recommend their nachos!

Ordered the coconut chicken salad and it was absolutely delicious. From the crisp lettuce, to the sweet orange slices, the salad was just phenomenal. Unfortunately the spicy chicken was not on point at all. There wasnt even a hint of spiciness to it. Definitely recommended getting the sauce on the side so you know exactly how "spicy" it is. The sweet fries that came with it were light and crispy. I do believe the description of the dish also mentioned it being served with a pickle. I could be mistake but if not, then I definitely missed out on the pickle.

Worst service Ive ever had by a MILE!! Both times I went, I sat there for a good 15 minutes before even being acknowledged. I finally get a menu, then waited another 15 minutes before being asked if I was ready to order. I ordered, then waited 20 minutes to get my food, which was about a 4 on a scale of 1 to 10. Mind you, the place was about a third of the way filled, so it wasnt busy at all. You are better off going to the location off of I-75 and Mockingbird if you want decent service, although the food there is about the same.

My favorite of the Cafe Brazils north of 635. Even when I show up during their Sunday brunch rush, their staff takes good care of us. Ive never been disappointed by a single dish. The bottomless coffee certainly doesnt hurt, either. Their entire menu is awesome, but I enjoy their Tex-Mex inspired breakfasts the most. The fan appreciation days that Cafe Brazil offers through Facebook makes the company as a whole even better.

Could of been better!! We ordered to go over the phone around 10:40 pm. She said it will be about 10 minutes until its done so we head over there around 11:10 to give it some time. When we got there she said that she forgot to even place the order!! So we had to wait another 20 mins. I wouldnt be disappointed but theres was no one in the restaurant! It was completely empty! Definitely good food but needs better staff!!
