Great homemade food and great prices. Wewent for lunch, I had the Cobb salad and it was awesome, we also had the BLT and chicken salad sandwich YUM, homemade bread!! I would really recommend this place . However the service really needs improvement. I never got the bread with my salad, even though I asked the waiters if it came with bread . She replied "yes it does come with bread" and promptly walked away never to return with it or the tea I asked for 5 times . It seemed if you werent a local they just didnt care, she seriously passed me at least 5 times filling up drinks and never brought me mine or asked if we needed anything.

This place is a diamond in the rough...Have dined there for 3-4 yrs and drove past it it for more than that because it sneaky hidden off 281....Homemade and fresh on every entry-level. ..way too affordable for quality and quantity ...Chef is first class and wait staff is very professional and friendly....breakfast and lunch only but well worthwhile on either meal. Cant say anything negative at all Enjoy

Delicious food, healthy portions. You will not leave hungry. Great place to stop if you are in Blanco, Texas. Not a bad item on the menu! You will not be disappointed. Better arrive early for lunch. This place gets packed quick! Well worth the wait though. You will not be disappointed with the food.

Fresh baked items. The bread on the sandwiches we had were also fresh baked. The server was very helpful and informative. The atmosphere was homey, room we were in had a fireplace. Reasonably priced & clean. Was busy with line but wasnt pushed through.

We ate here twice and the food was unbelievable. My wife had eggs Benedict and I had migas on the first day next day she had eggs Florentine and I had migas again. The best and the last expensive place in Blanco. There is nothing on the menu over 6.95.

Oh man. If you find yourself in Blanco Texas, you must stop by the Chess Club Cafe. I bought the best cinnamon roll Ive had in decades. We tried the crabcake Benedict, an omelet, and a waffle. Every part of the meal was delightful.

Once a week for a year, my wife and I have enjoyed breakfast here. The food is great and the service is very friendly. Be sure to try the Eggs Benedict. As an aside, the music selected by Chef Steve adds to the experience.
