Oh boy... This used to be such a nice place... The new owner seems to have no interest in keeping it running though. All the new waitresses seem to be doing is stand behind the bar, chatting away. Therefore you wont be served at your tables anymore. But even when you go to the bar, you may find it rather difficult to interrupt their conversation to place your order. The new boss is meanwhile standing at the far end of the bar, usually with his buddies, totally oblivious to whats going on. "New" staff (theyve been there a while now) is even that incapable, that they cant tell their tabs apart from each other, even mixing up those of their regular costumers with first-time patrons... Sad to see the decline of this place A lot has changed since October!!! New servers who understand what service is and lots of music in all kinds of ways going on. Bands, karaoke, songwriter circle... its living again. If they now had Samuel Adams back in the fridge, it couldnt get much better

This place caters to bikers, but some old folk locals stop by too. Character: 4****, Pretty good if you don’t mind dives. Some live music on some nights and weekends. Service: 3***, It’s acceptable, but daytime finds 1 bartender and 1 cook. Temper your expectations. Food: 3***, I got an axis burger, wife got a bacon cheese burger. The patties are a third to half pound but small and thick. There’s a lot of extra bun around them. Oh, and they’re dry, cooked done throughout. The veggies are all on the side as are a packet of mayo and a small tub of ketchup for the as usual fast food fries. The one plus was the bacon, plenty of it. Value: 2**, $30 for 2 burgers, one fries, and 2 draft beers. Overall: Just 3***, I guess, I’m not impressed with any of it. My second visit in 10+ years and unless there’s music I want to hear, we won’t be back. Update.,: I forgot to mention the restrooms. The WORST & FOULEST SMELLING things ever. And this is on a Monday afternoon.

I love this place! I Always have and since theyve changed ownership, it has only made it better! Its now a full bar with some pretty awesome home brews made right on site! The goofy, fun girls that work there are hard-working and friendly! And lets not forget the awesomely tasty food like the home made pulled pork sandwich or my favorite the Jalapeno Jack Burger! So if youre looking for a fun filled time while meeting new interesting people and listening to live music, then the Shade Tree is for you!

Shade Tree is a friendly dive with outdoor seating, frequent live music, and good old American cuisine (from fried pickles/burgers/jalapeno poppers.) Beer selection is better than your typical neighborhood bar, including some Shade Tree brewed exclusives that have all the rough edges youd expect from beer brewed in your neighbors garage. Some batches are great and some arent. Be sure to get a sample before you order a full pint. Nice place to unwind when the weather is good.

Cool place, nice outdoor seating area with a stage . There was a country cover band playing and they were pretty good. Lots of bikers here , it has the feel of a popular biker hangout. My burger was good but the home brews I was unimpressed with. Tried two of them and they were both a little flat and kind of meh . If I was a biker and stuck to bottled domestic beers I might go 5 stars but for me its a solid 4.

Dont go after 2pm because youll get the worst two servers youve ever seen...I ordered a Philly cheese steak and got no chips and when I asked they said we dont do that...both bar tenders had a horrible attitude...they should be put out into the street if they are not suited for customer service...Ive spent money here on more than one occasion...never again...

Great hamburger but wifes chicken sandwich was processed chicken strips, about average cost to a bit overpriced. Live music was just okay, but it was live which is better than a jukebox. Only time we are in the area is when we are taking animals to the wildlife rescue. Might eat there again but there are two other restaurants we havent tried yet.

Music and staff are always friendly. One thing thats been happening lately is the short shottin in the mix drinks. When one pays over $4 for a well drink in a 10 oz. plastic cup, one expects to at least have an oz of liquor instead of tasting nothing but mix. Bartenders need class on how to pour a drink.

Good old fashion ice bar. Food is excellent although a tad bit pricey. Built and owned by a local couple that are both the nicest people in the community. Separate parking for scooters. A must stop for a cold one on your way, or coming back. Youll love the ambiance. Guaranteed!

Its a bikers haven with good food, slow service, and outdoor exposure dining only. They have the best fried okra Ive ever had. Food is served steaming hot. Live music on weekends. Rest rooms are on the :adequate; side, with curtains sufficing for doors. A relaxed place to go.

Plenty to choose from on the menu and drinks. However, if the bartender spent as much time paying attention to the customers than her cell phone, the service would have been great. But since she didnt it was horrible and slow. I will return and hopefully this will be rectified.

The music "Texas Two Lane" were amazing. The bartender inside was HORRIBLE! Stood in line forever and she just ignored the lady in front and me. Went outside to the bar and the young lady out there was very attentive. Place needs to reevaluate their staff.

What a great place to get away & kick back.. It is one of my happy places. Kind of like when Willie use to work at Flores Country store way back when? This is a hill country delight! Live the brewed beer, atmosphere & friendly people. Good burgers too.

For the second time, Ive sat down and had no server/bartender come greet me or take my order. They were to busy chatting it up,playing with the tv, and phones. For the first time ever I got up and walked out of a resuraunt. Never again!

Stopped here on a whim. Special of the day was a cheese steak sandwich and onion rings. It was fantastic. Service was friendly and thorough. Will definitely stop again.
