Customer contact with food. -5 stars if possible Customers eat food off buffet...directly. Or finger around for a perfect piece or whatever item, pop in mouth decide not like it. Place half bitten chicken or desert on bar inches from food. Adults...and children...seen doing this several times before even taking a seat.... 2 visits months apart... first time, witnessed this only one random family did this... it was gross,but we had already eaten. Besides we thought it was a one-off ordeal, we have come to this location off and on since its opening many many years ago. Will we be back? No. This last and final time, several people, whether together or appearing alone, were picking up food with their hands. One person in particular, picked up the tongs just to move them out of the way. Then proceeded finger around for I guess the perfect hushpuppie. So. Nope. Final time walking threw those doors. Staff is always so attentive and kind trying to keep the place clean. But the customers ruined this place since apparently its common practice of local customers now, at this location...at least... How to fix issue: Maybe have servers stationed to scoop out food to customers. But we wont be back. We left disturbed and headed close to Houston for non-customer-handled food. If customers we unable to touch other peoples food.... Staff (attentive & clean) 5 stars Food (buffet style) 5 stars Decor (buffet with recipes for art) 3 stars

Poor. This location has been good in the past, but not this time. We visited for breakfast. After seating asked the waitress for coffee anf juice. The waitress looks at the receipt and informs us that we did not pay for coffee and that it was not included with price of the buffet! Really! We told her we would pay for coffee to bring some. We did not see her for over 10 minutes. She returns with no coffee stating she did not understand we were going to pay for coffee and to bring some, she thought we were just "discussing it among ourselves". Well we finally got coffee at $2.49 each.....thats the price for a venti Starbucks! That said, breakfast was mediocre at best, much better at other locations. Dont think we will be going to the Baytown location in the future.

Excellent place to eat. The food has always been excellent, nice well kept salad and dessert bar. The staff is always friendly and very professional. The first time I ate at this establishment I could tell it was privately owned. The managers here definitely know how to operate and run a business. I know it has a few down falls and nick picks you can point out, but, for the amount of business and traffic they do, all I can say is "JOB WELL DONE". It takes a lot to impress me and for me to give 5 Stars. I cant wait to see that smoked chicken on the buffet again, that was awesome. THANKS

Over priced. When I was eating my steak I was looking at the cheif on the grill and he was cleaning the grill with looked like too be a broom. Then he set it back on the ground. I dont care how hot the grill gets. Taking the grill brush off the ground in front of customers while they are eating a steak that just came off of the grill and "clean" the grill with it. That is disturbing. And why is it so expensive here? I can go too a dine in resturant and get full for the same price and drink a beer with the meal.

The food is always really good at this location..especially the desserts..Every server we have had has been extremely friendly and efficient.. the location is always busy, so the dining room tends to stay a little messy. The salad bar could be a little better, the produce seemed old the last time we were in, wilted lettuce and stale croutons...but never anything bad enough to stop us from returning

Traveled from Port Arthur, Tx to Baytown ,Tx. to eat at Golden Corral on Garth. The Cooks must have went on strike! The Mac and Cheese was watered down, The Fried butterfly shrimp had no flavor or taste at all, The sweet potato had no taste, wasnt even slightly sweet, asked for well done steak twice, which both times had blood in it. Spent $31.14 for nothing , didnt enjoy my food at all, sorry !!

Not impressed, the mashed potatoes and rolls were the only good items. The fried chicken was bland and unseasoned. The corn on the cob looked as if it had been sitting for 3 days. I tried to get some fried okra but it was mushy and all of them clumped together. I tried the fried shrimp but it could of been chicken or fish, no taste at all.

Very nice employees Great food. .A favorite place of mine . The only place a Senior gets a discount at a certain time of day and may have anything you want to eat. Most restaurant have a certain menu to order from. The choices awful. Other places give 10% or 20% off items from the menu. I really appreciate Golden Corral.

Been coming here for years. Not bad for a GC. Sundays are crazy busy and it now cost over $18 for 1 buffet and a to-go cup?! Would have 4 starred but that price got me. If you have never been to a GC, its a giant buffet including salad bar, Mexican, comfort food, desert and a little Chinese.

Yo okay so theres this one waitress who was the nicest, most polite waitress Ive ever had in my dining experience! She was always asking questions with a smile and worried about us. Honestly, I shouldve left my number on the receipt she was such a beautiful girl :)

Very nasty, greasy, smelly food on the buffet. VERY rude, hateful MEAN manager ("Miss Rose"). Dirty bathrooms and children running wild (grabbing buns with their hands, eating on the floor or under the tables, yeah parents were right there).

This location is super clean. Managment on point. The food tastes fresh and flavorful. Our waitresses I would give a 4 she needed to be more attentive. However with that said I still give 5 stars and will be back.

The quality has gone WAY down. Only a couple of good waitresses, everyone else sucks. It looks dirty and they get some of the WORST clientele. Again, another place that makes me sick after I eat there.

The breakfast was incredible. My aunt, cousin and I went not expecting such a great variety of breakfast food. Who cares about the service. Its self serve and for my money it was well worth it.

The food is good. The service is good. However, this is the only Golden Corral that I have eaten at that does not offer complimentary coffee all day.
