Wish we didnt have to rate it at all. Ate here last night (Sun., May 28, 2017). We were a table of 3. Waitress took more than 15 mins to take our order after seating us. There were only 2 other tables with people, both of which had already ordered before we arrived. Another family of 3 walked in after us and she took their order first. When she finally came, she put on forced smile when we told her that we had cards to get 2 of our meals free -- comped to us from our last visit at the Westin at the Domain (thats another story in and of itself). We ordered three well done 14oz New York strip steak dinners and one BYOB burger to go. It took 30 mins for them to bring out our dinner. During this time the waitress only came over to apologize for the wait 2 times -- for a maximum total of 10 seconds. She NEVER offered us anything additional, such as coffee or an appetizer because of the long wait. But she spent a lot of time at the other tables of the patrons. By the time the food arrived we were hungry and nearly frozen. It was pouring outside and freezing inside. 2 of the 3 steaks were NOT done in the middle. And no surprise, it was the 2 free steaks. All 3 steaks were chewy and full of fat. The asparagus on 2 of the plates was over cooked and tiny. The garlic green beans on the third plate tasted like cardboard. There wasnt a hint of garlic and they were burned on the underside. After waiting another 5 mins for the waitress to return we finally flagged her down and asked them if they could redo the steaks and the asparagus and substitute Mac and cheese for 1 of the plates. At this point, our mom was disgusted and decided to return to her room. So we asked them to box up everything to go once theyd finished cooking the steaks. In the meantime, it took them so long to bring out fresh asparagus for the plate with the steak that was half decent that the food was cold. Several minutes passed by before she finally came to the table and briefly apologized for the wait. Minutes later some random person came by and deposited the asparagus without a word and walked off. This asparagus was greasy, salty and the tips were so burnt that it left charcoal stains on the plate. But tasted better than the previous batch. After waiting another 30 mins or so, they brought out our plates -- a few seconds after she came and refilled the water in one of the glasses. The waitress kept asking loudly how we were going to pay for the other 2 meals. That was VERY unprofessional and completely uncalled for. Most professional waiters/waitresses just leave the tab at the table and leave. Since the food seemed done at the time, we paid and left. But once we got to our room and started eating we found other sections of the steak that werent cooked -- despite their own warning in the menu about eating raw or undercooked meats. Furthermore, the meat was swimming in liquid, was somewhat charred and fatty. (Note: it takes skill to cook meat until its well done and not char it or make it dry. Obviously the chef did not have that skill.) They packed the mac and cheese with the steak. So it was also sitting in the liquid. Theres no telling what was in the liquid, since there wasnt any on the original plates. The mac and cheese tasted like it was made with sour milk (and was basically inedible). The new mashed potatoes were dry and sticky. Part of the potatoes were hard, as if theyd been sitting up uncovered. The burger we got for our dad was dry and had no flavor. Overall, it was a very poor experience and a DRASTIC change from the positive eating experience just 3 months ago. Its as if a new chef had taken over. It appears that they didnt care to do a good job on the food because part of it was comped. Hate we wasted any money at this restaurant (on the other 2 meals) and our time. Waitress didnt get even earn the tip we GAVE her. She was rude, crass and base, completely unprofessional and tacky. Weve had better experiences in other parts of the country and in other countries at better establishments.

Chicken caesar salad: a dinner staple most of us have sampled all over the country. But this: this was something special. How good can a basic chicken caesar salad be? Its leaves, its chicken, its croutons, with sauce. But this was more. There was an egg-lime based sauce with fresh croutons, overflowing with flavor. There were pockets of over-salting, but after thanking (and chatting up) the chef she was thankful for the too-much-salt feedback. We admitted both of us had previously avoided the restaurant solely on the basis of its name. Shouldnt there be a colon in there? Despite this, we befriended each other - what a cool gal. Tiger shrimp: pasta is pasta... is pasta... is pasta [ad infinitum]. But the shrimp themselves were perfectly turgid and plump, seasoned just the right amount in a creamy tomato sauce, with just the right amount of sprinkled feta. The brocollini was bursting with a kick. Thats something! for broccoli. Berkshire prime pork: pork chops are pretty hard to infuse with flavor it seems, anywhere you go. This rendition was coated in a sweet caramelized soy syrup which was good, but the meat itself was bland. I guess Im just not a fan of the chops. Now I know. The peart onions, sautéed apple slivers and spinach however were the better half of the dish. Bravo on this. Avocado trés leches: different! Dense sponge-like cake, saturated with milkiness, drizzled with créme frianche/cinnamon, and flanked by two chocolate covered strawberries. A tip for chocolate strawberries fans: the chocolate should be fudge-like and fusing into the flesh of the berry, not a hardened shell that falls apart upon biting. Urbans was the former, and Im so glad it is.

Last night we went here to Urban for our anniversary dinner, kids in tow. I never even knew it was there in the Westin until our friend told us about it. Lately, the Domain has been our go to place as we are taking a break from the whole downtown thing. Urban was perfectly chill. Great food. My husband had the filet that was cooked exactly med rare and was happy to see a great selection of wine. My scallops were delicious! Each bite had avocado, sauteed tomato, arugula and super tasty pickled cantaloupe. (first time having that and it was a perfect fit for the dish!) Kids loved theirs, too. Especially, the Banana Fosters Bread Pudding that they so generously gave us for our anniversary! We devoured it! I love that spiced caramel sauce! The ice cream was Amys! Yay, local! Diego, the manager, was very professional and definitely made us feel like he was there to take care of anything we needed to make the night special. Roberto, our server, was on it. Very friendly and never missed a beat. Im so glad we found this place. Im in the Domain a lot for lunchtime, too, so I will definitely be visiting again and trying more of the menu that we didnt get a chance to try.

Urban has a nice outdoor seating area with comfy couches and coffee tables or regular tables with chairs. Youre welcome to bring your puppy to the patio and the servers have always been super friendly and welcoming to my pup. The happy hour is reasonable. Everything in orange on the bar menu is half off. With the discount, thats a handful of $5 cocktails, $3 drafts, and appetizers ranging $4-$7. My recommendations - Mac & Cheese includes smoked brisket and green chiles. Very creamy and rich. YUMMY!!! The Kobe burger is cooked perfectly and is only $7 for happy hour! The burger comes with a side of truffle fries. By far the best deal on the menu. Two bite BLT includes a crispy and tasty braised pork belly. Indoors they also have plenty of seating with lots of TVs. Come here and watch the game.
