XP: Drive through RE: Chemical Taste in Monster Tacos This was my go-to Jack in the Box in Austin, but I don’t trust this location any more. I ordered Monster Tacos via drive through today; when I ate the first one, it tasted rancid. I thought my taste buds were off, so I tried a different taco. That one tasted fine; two were fine, the other two had a strong chemical taste, like soap or cleaner. When I called to alert them, the phone rang at least 15 times before cutting off with no answering machine. An employee answered on my fourth attempt. When I told her that two of my tacos were rancid, she asked if I wanted to come down so she could make me new ones. Before I could explain that I was calling to have someone check the Monster Tacos, she cut me off, “I mean, I just came in and whoever had morning shift left everything a mess. I am bleaching the walls right now, I am scrubbing the grease; I mean I’m doing a complete overhaul! I’m so sorry ma’am I’m not surprised. I mean, I’ve seen what they put out.” “I am an employee, and I want an upgrade; I’ve been meaning to bring this to management. So, I’m taking care of it - ok ma’am?” The employee tried to hang up, but I asked to speak to her manager myself. She told me that the phone was dying because someone hadn’t put it on the charger, but that I could try if I wanted to. When I said I wanted to, she told me her manager only spoke Spanish. When I told her I spoke Spanish and wanted to speak to her manager, I heard her manager ask, “Who is it?” in English. She replied, “A customer, something went wrong.” The manager answered politely in English. I asked her if she spoke Spanish - she did. So I continued the conversation in Spanish. I told her about the taste, and told her I was calling because I was concerned that other people would receive the faulty food. And that I wanted someone to check the Monster Tacos before selling more. She told me she would check on them. Perhaps, in the turnover, some cleaner fell on my food. And I appreciate that the manager was polite, and the employee was dealing with an uncomfortable situation. However, after the employee’s account and the poor experience, I don’t trust this location’s food.

Every single time I try to stop at this place for breakfast around 4 in the morning, the SAME woman tells me that "their systems are down and wont be up for another 30 minutes." Does not matter exactly what time I show up, its the same thing every time. If you are going to advertise your business as being open 24 hours, then YOU NEED TO BE OPEN 24 HOURS. Im tired of this being the only place open around the time I have to go into work when Im in a bind and couldnt make breakfast at home, because its the same exact thing from the same exact employee every single time. Either you guys need to stop advertising as being open 24 hours, or that employee needs terminated. Other than that specific employee, every single other crew and employee is fantastic that I have dealt with. Its the overnight shift crew that needs to understand theyre there to work. Not to pass time.

I dont understand what is so hard about reading an order and putting the right things on it? Ive gone to many Jack in the Box locations and the one consistency Ive seen is they ALWAYS get the order wrong. As 99% of the time Im going through the drive-thru and they rush you out there isnt the chance to review an order that should have been done by the person giving me the order. Take today for example .... I ordered a #4 large with 2 Tacos. On my receipt it said I ordered a #5 with 2 Tacos and I got a Spicy Chicken with 2 Tacos. Where does a Chicken sandwich and a Ultimate Cheeseburger come anything close? Im fed up with this horrible lack of attention to detail, Jack in the Box has lost a customer.

Entra uno y ni nos antienden. Hay tres personas trabajando y ninguna se toma la molestia de tomar nuestra orden. Pasamos 15min esperando y nos ignoraron por completo. Para que están ahí si no van a dar un servicio.

I fell asleep when I was in the bathroom and the manager came in and yelled at me, using sevveral obscenities such as "get the f*** out". Then, after I left, he came out of the door on the other side of the restaurant and accused me of saying something while I was outside and said he was going to kick my ass if I didnt leave. This is no way to treat someone with a sleep disorder and severe depression.

they need to get real empolyees not ppl of the street with ghetto additudes worst of all they need a new manager, they treat the food as if u were in travis county jail... the brown papper bags look like they were used twice might jus be the food handdaling they do in thier worst place ever! really needs helpp with the management so they dnt put one naptkin in my order bags all mistreaed

Yes, I know its 2:30am, but nobody deserves to wait 25 minutes for ONE PERSON TO GET IN AN ORDER! No, really. It took 25 minutes for the lady in front of me to be answered. What were they doing that whole time. And I was stuck between 2 people so I couldnt leave. The worker said it was only 2 of them so I guess I understand, but I will never come back.

Horrible place to eat!!! I like Jack in the Box in general but this specific location its awful!!! In several ocations that I have come to this place the food they give is soaked in greace!!!!! terrible!!! the only reason why Ive come to this place is because is close to my job. After todays visit I wil NEVER come back!!!!

"feces" Stopped in the restroom before ordering. The restroom was so disgusting that I decided to go somewhere else. Ive been in cleaner port o Johns on job sites after a week of use. This restroom has not been cleaned in a long time and your employees wash their hands in a room covered in feces.

Guy at front counter seemed like he didnt really want to be there , no acknowledgement ,no greeting . I spoke my order clearly and loud so I know he heard me . But still got the order wrong but in my favor by saving me 1.75 . If your gonna work counter at least try and put your best face on

Stopped here many times over the years. Location has not been maintained well and the facility was in need of cleaning. The location had a unique smell which is not what you want in place you are eating. Would recommending finding a different place to eat if you are in the area.

This location at Burned Rd is terrible they make you wait forever and sometimes they dont even know you waiting to order. In addition, they give you wrong or something missing from what you ask. They need to get new manager and people who really care about customers.
