Food ok but horribly unclean. The service was excellent & the food was good. The actual facilities were a mess. The table was so sticky we asked our waitress to wipe the table. She did then apologized profusely because it wasnt going help. The tables need to be revarnished or replaced. If you touch the table you stick to it like your feet in a movie theater. The floor was dirty, bathrooms a wreck, & the place looked tired yet it has a nice modern interior. The sushi is of the very American Texas variety. While I wanted to turn my nose up at chefs specials (sushi made with cream cheese?) & spout my Nobu credentials I tried the imperial roll. The most outrageous to a sushi purest. It was shockingly good. It wasnt traditional sushi but it worked & I enjoyed it. Our waitress was great but the place felt skeevy. We also never saw a manager & waited without greeting until our waitress seated us. The biggest pet peeve is the use of instant coffee! Really? In the third wave of coffee, in Austin, for $2? Seems like someone is asleep at the wheel.

I had been to Haiku before and it was good not this time. the chicken teriyaki was a bit rubbery and tasteless Sauce, like they just took soy sauce and added sugar to it. I have so much better else where. I spent $15 on the same kind of food I cold have gotten at a fast food place for $5. I got tempura and it was so greasy and not that many varieties of vegetable really disappointed. Even the fried rice had no taste to it. It seemed more chinese that Japanese. Not fresh. Dont go until they can prove to use fresh

Ordered chicken teriyaki tasted like it was defrosted and they just poured teriyaki sauce and alot of seseme seeds on top of it very bland.Ordered udon soup was not good at all the meat was rubbery and tasted nasty.Ordered California rolls they were the size of a nickel and cost $6 for 6.Ordered coke and Dr.pepper.They cost $1.80.Ordered 2 fried ice cream sundaes and the cool whip was all melted.I Will not go there again.I do not recommend this place all.

Best happy hour - lots for a little price n so much to discover or rediscover with each visit. Chick, veggies & every meat on the planet soba noodles are light, warm & bursting with flavor. Surf clam sushi is a must try along with crawfish roll. Get ready to sweat a little ... that little roll packs so heat. Pan-fried goyza is the best along with the mussels. #oooyum

Food was very good, worth 4 stars, but the service was atrocious. On a slow night they forgot our appetizer altogether, forgot to bring the dishes for soy sauce, and forgot the rice with my wifes order of teriyaki chicken. I probably wont go back because I can get good sushi in a lot of places, and get at least adequate service to go along with it.

I love, love, love, this place. I come here for a relaxing dinner by myself at the bar after work at least 2 times a month (I dont eat out that much) best quality, especially for the price, and the owner Jenny is the sweetest.

Hole in the wall sushi bar. Dimly lit relaxing environment. Happy hour prices are incredibly cheap for the amount and quality of sushi. Peach and strawberry saki to die for.

The taste is so good! All the materials are so fresh and cooked in a respected way. Not salty not too sweet, it is just right and healthy. My favorites.

I like this place, relaxing spot to eat and drink. Food is awesome, well I can only have the vegetarian sushi and rolls due to seafood allergy.

Stopped by with my dog for a sake and sat outside. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Everything was clean and the atmosphere relaxing.

This is my familys favorite restaurant in Austin. Foods taste Asian authentic. Not too much oil or salt, just right!

Great food. Awesome happy hour. But, some of their wait staff could use a lesson in smiling and not being snotty.
