Average hibachi steak house. Our chef did not talk with anyone and didnt do any interesting cooking maneuvers. Nothing wrong with that but it makes for an average experience. The food was okay, grilled chicken with butter, soy, lemon, and garlic. They got confused on the rice order. I ordered white but they gave me fried, and he made a point to say that I ordered fried because thats how it was written up. He may have been having a bad day. The veggies were pretty good but loaded with garlic butter and half of it is cheap onions. Fine if you like lots of onions, but they shouldnt be the headlining vegetable in a side dish. When comparing this steakhouse to the nearby competing "Kobe" steak house, Kobe is much better in terms of taste and overall experience. Fujiyama isnt bad but given the choice between the two, Ill only come here if invited by others.

They walled off their delightful sushi bar with a couple of big panes of solid glass or plexiglass or something. Who has a sushi bar where you cant sit at it? I used to love this place. Okay, Im sad now. ( ._.) Seriously though, which one of you jerks ruined it for everyone else? Did someone try to spit on the raw fish in the refrigerated glass display counter or something? Did someone try to shoot the sushi chef? You shouldnt have done that! That guy is awesome! (Or that lady. Sometimes she made my sushi instead, and it was just as delicious.) But alas, I dont come here anymore, because when I go to a sushi restaurant for sushi, I like to sit at the bar, but like I said, you cant do that here anymore. You used to be able to, but not anymore. ( ._.) Id better go. This is making me sadder and sadder.

Do not go here if you are from out of town and used to REAL Japanese steakhouse. Dinner menue steak habatchi $21... soup OR salad with white rice. You want fried rice? You pay extra. You want noodles? You pay extra and believe me you dont want what they call noodles. You can get better at the mall. Veggies was basically an entire onion with some mushrooms sprinkled in. Steak was good but wait for this... you want white sauce? They dont have it with the meal and believe me, you do not want what they call white sauce. Horrible!!! Oh, you want a refill of water? Not happening!! Not tonight anyway. Spent nearly $30 and walked away hungry. Sad thing is I dont think anyone eating here has been anywhere else bc they all seemed to love it.

We drive an hour and half for this. Its our Benihana substitute from our previous town. We go at least three times a month. Its not cheap...we spend on average $100 a trip. Food is good, better depending on which chef you get. Wait staff is either excellent OR non-exsistent. Last time we went were sat on the side with a perfect view of the chefs ass, thats it! Waitor didnt bring drinks, didnt bring sushi, overall disappointment. The hours are tricky so double check if you are driving a way...we almost always get there too early and once too late and had to make a plan b.

The good: We were taken to be seated right of way and there wasnt a long wait for the grill to fill up before our order was taken. The waiter was attentive and very friendly. The price was fair! The bad: The chef did a poor job paying attention and catering to each individual food request. There were 9 orders of chicken fried rice made and lest than half a chicken breast for all that rice. The chef mixed all the veggies, which some people prefer it to be prepared and served seperate.

Hibachi is one of my personal faves when it comes to getting a yummy meal that provides entertainment while you wait. The chef put on a fun and humorous show, and the food was delicious. Why 3 stars you ask? -1 star for slow service that had to be reminded a few times about simple requests. -1 star for the price. Agree with other reviewers that some of the pricing was high for what you get. Overall not a bad option if you are a hibachi lover who lives close to the restaurant.

I was pretty bummed when I moved to Austin and found out there is no Benihana, so when I was craving hibachi I found Fujiyama. Personally I still prefer Benihana, but Fujiyama did the trick. They are a little pricey but all Japanese steakhouses are. The service is not great, but I have had worse. The fried rice was great and the Teppanyaki show was average. I would recommend going at lunch when the prices are less and the iced tea is FREE.

this was only my second hibachi experience ever, but this was no benihana. if youre trying to come here for a fancy date night, think again. the chefs were talented and friendly and the food was good, but the food and the experience were nothing to write home about. if you do go here, getting the combination meals, especially the combinations with chicken and shrimp are value for money and also better tasting than the beef on the teppanyaki.

First off, the food was fine. But they charged $3 extra for fried rice. Fried. Rice. The quintessential hibachi item. Never seen that before, that was ridiculous and a surprise to us when we got our bill. They also made our friend order hibachi just because she was sitting with us and wanted sushi, even though we had a full table with 7 other people in our party eating hibachi. Ridiculous, honestly not worth the price at all.

I went there one evening for their sushi, and we just missed happy hour. But, for full price, I was not a fan of the sushi. Ive been to plenty of other sushi restaurants, but this place should just stick to Teppanyaki. Im not sure how to rate this. The service was fine. But if youre going here for the sushi, Id suggest going elsewhere. Maybe I can come back later to update my review once Ive tried the steakhouse.

Is the soy sauce supposed to taste like a chemical spill? It would not have been an issue, if my katsu sauce was not placed in my sushi box. Due to that, I drenched my pork katsu in the most disgusting soy sauce I have ever had the misfortune of tasting. Aside from this, everything else was just, okay. The price brought this down to 2 stars, because I was honestly expecting more.

I am always skeptical when it comes to hibachi restaurants. Its either miss or hit for me. This place was a complete HIT. The food was great, the chefs were fantastic and very entertaining. The prices were very reasonable for what you were getting. I definitely had my fill and was able to take some food home. I recommend this place, HIGHLY.

The key word here is *butter*. The rice I had here was bathed in butter (but it tasted yummy); the shrimp was drowned in butter (pretty good); even the filet mignon was enveloped in butter (buttery steak aint that great). They used so much butter, chicks could wrestle in it. But I liked it anyway. My arteries are complaining, though.
