It is true how Italian food brings people together (maybe I made this up). No matter, I fell in love with 360 Uno Trattoria the first time I went during Austin Restaurant Week back in 2011. This year was my second time going back to this small intimate cafe setting. One of my favorite parts of going to this restaurant is actually the road trip itself going there; driving down Capital Highway 360 is one of the most breathtaking feelings Ive experienced in Austin. The scenery is so different from the normal Downtown Austin that it makes you wonder if youre still in Texas. To be honest, 360 Uno Trattoria does not exactly have the best exterior look; it looks small and people might oftentimes overlook it when driving by. However when you enter, you are greeted with a small lit up coffee shop. Youll probably notice the tubs full of gelato that will make your mouth water. The actual restaurant is hidden in the coffee shop and the decor inside the restaurant is very cozy like. There are wine glasses stacked on shelves and dim lit candles on all the tables. I had a party of 9 people and we made reservations 3 days beforehand. There was already a table waiting for us when we arrived. The waiter was very attentive when we ordered and also helped answer any questions about the menu. Now lets move onto the meal. Appetizer: Prosciutto Con Mozzarella Di Bufala E Melone I didnt know that prosciutto was ham until I googled it. And it was delish! I think what made this appetizer so special was the melon slices. The sweet taste was definitely a great way to start my meal. I also had a chance to try a bite of the Carpaccio Di Salmone Affumicato and man I was mind-blown. Entree: Pollo Procini The porcini mushroom cream sauce was amazing with the tender chicken. As much as I liked this dish, I feel it could have used one more ingredient...anything. The waiter was able to educate me on the pricing of mushrooms though, which supposedly the mushrooms they buy can go for $45 per pound! Dessert: Copa Tiramisu WTF! This was by far the best Tiramisu I have ever tasted. You will mouthgasm on your first bite...guaranteed. The texture was just right and not too powdery/dry. The sweetness was just right. I had to take small bites just to preserve this beautiful dessert for as long as I could. I am definitely getting this every time I come here. Paying the check was a little difficult though, especially for a party of 9 people. They cant charge specific amounts on each card; instead they can only split it evenly a certain way. But we ended up having one person pay and we all paid that person back. As a second time customer here, I have to say I love 360 Uno Trattoria. I feel this restaurant is a little underrated, but thats why I like it. Its kind of like my secret hidden place. Until next time 360!

Tried this place out yesterday for Austin Restaurant Week brunch. Got the Frittata Prosciutto e Formaggi, which is a fluffy omelette with loads of mozzarella cheese mixed in, with prosciutto atop a pizza crust. When I brought the first slice to my face, I was appalled by the scent. It smelled like old, used cat litter. I was afraid to eat it, but I did anyway... and I was glad I did. The taste was delectable. The amount of cheese in there was amazing and creamy. I left the majority of one slice on the plate so I could save room for dessert. My friend tried to tempt me to take it with me, but I told her if I drove home with that smell in the car, Id have to pull over and puke. The profiteroles for dessert were delicious. Much chocolate. I didnt care for the Puccini drink I had (OJ and Prosecco), but thats because I dislike Prosecco. Service was good. I spy tons of things on their menu that I want to go back to try, but that does not include the gelato. They only have six flavors, and theyre all pretty standard (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, orange, peanut butter, and coffee).

Unos is the Cheers of Westlake. Where everyone knows your name...or will if you frequent the place, Unos has the community vibe. And why shouldnt it? It covers all the bases: coffee, pastries, lunch, afternoon snack, pre dinner wine, an Italian dinner, and DESSERT! Unos does everything well. The food is fresh and delicious. The coffee is a amazing. The service is outstanding. I love the community. Their wine selection makes them one of West Lakes best wine sources. The weekday mornings bring high tech heavy hitters meeting and working in the coffee shop. Weekend mornings are laid back; bringing the folks with newspapers, kindles and Ipads for coffee, pastries, and downtime. Get over there. Introduce yourself to the talented barristas behind the counter. David and Scott, the managers are customer oriented and aim to please. Ask them about the wine list....they know it well. Unos holds wine tastings on Friday evenings....a crowd pleaser to be sure. That is a good night to meet Al the owner. Check out Unos, you will be glad you did.

CAUTION!!!!! Gluten free pizza is NOT gluten free. Owner provided me with a list of ingredience after I returned my pizza due to gluten related symptoms of bloating, headaches and nausia. Here is what is in their "gluten free" pizza: Rice flour, filtered water, tapioca starch, potato starch, organic virgin oil, vegtable shortening (canola oil, hydrogenated cottenseed oil), sugar, 2% of the following: YEAST, salt, eggs, GELATIN, natural flavor, organic defatted SOY flour, egg whites, soy lecithin, XANTHUN gum, WHEAT starch, dextrin, etc. I have not eaten gluten foods for over a year and know folks who would be hospitalized due to these ingredients. BE CAREFULand avoid Gluten free pizza here!!

A hidden gem (literally - very few people seem to know about it). Excellent, very reasonably priced pizzas and Italian food in a very pleasant setting. I enjoy coming here with the family as a treat. Its never crowded (bad for their management, but great for us), has excellent service, and is attached to a gelato/pastry place so theres also great dessert. Oh, and they have a nice selection of reasonably priced wines. NOTE (Kandis): This is not the same as Pizzeria Uno, the chain that serves (great) Chicago-style deep dish pizzas. There are none of those in the Austin area. This is a local establishment with only one location.

This was the third time my wife and I ate here and we will never go back. I was wondering if the pizza crust was store bought because it is horrible and the waitress confirmed it tonight. They have great toppings but the crust is horrible - similar to cardboard. You can tell by the perfect size of the crust and the dimples. Look at their picture on their website and you will see. Tonight we had two pastas. One tasted like all they did was sprinkle Italian seasoning on top and the other was uneventful. Finally normally a great dessert expresso creme brulee was watery on top. Very disappointed...
