Friday night November 13. 2015: After a great night out with friends we decided to cap the evening with a meal at (what used to be) our favorite little after hours grub-hub, Waffle House # 206 at Cooper St and Arkansas in Arlington. The restaurant was not crowded on this now early Saturday morning and we were able to find a seat as soon as we walked in. The server was reasonably quick to arrive to take our order and took my friends orders first. After getting the order from my GF and myself we were served our drinks and conversed while waiting. My friends orders arrived quickly and they began to enjoy their food. My GF and I waited patiently and got drink refills while waiting for our food, which all orders were pretty similar. My friends and I each ordered the steak and eggs breakfast and my GF ordered sausage and eggs. My friends were nearly finished with their meal before we were finally served ours. I noticed the steak was not at the table yet and assumed it would be following very soon. I noticed my hashbrowns were not to my order, missing mushrooms, but said nothing at that time. By now my friends were presented their check and I still had not gotten my steak for my meal. They noticed their bill was about $40.00 and were questioning the server about the charges for 2 steak and egg meals and 2 teas. I mentioned I was nearly finished with my meal and still had not seen my steak. I also mentioned the missing mushrooms and asked them to ensure they were not on my check. At this point the server left and another server came to the table asking what was the issue. As we were explaining things, She got rude and the tone quickly escalated to an argument and the server became more agitated. That is when she threatened to call the police on us all and accused us of not paying what we owed, which was not the case as we were all still seated and simply asking about the long list of individual charges on the bills along with food we did not receive. My friends and I decided it was no longer worth the time to continue this and we simply all paid our bills as shown since it was now obvious that we were not getting anywhere trying to reason with the staff. As we were exiting the server met us outside and continued to argue and called the police from her cell. We gave our statements to the officers and afterward we were met outside by one of the cooks who apologized to us for the entire is issue. Needless to say, we will no longer go to Waffle House if this is the way they decide to settle a question about a check.

To be perfectly honest, the service can be hit or miss here; the food is more consistent. Neither of those is the real reason for the 5-star rating though. I stopped by this location several weeks ago while I was going through a rather tough time. I was actually living primarily out of my car for about a week, while still attempting to maintain a relatively normal work schedule, getting things situated to go back to school at UTA, and all other good things. I was waiting on a student loan refund and made the horrible mistake of assuming that some money was on my account when it actually was not. I was a dollar short and did not have the difference in cash. I explained what had happened and apologized profusely, and the two most wonderful ladies behind the counter let me get off with just paying what I could afford, making me promise to pay our forward. Since I might never see those two angels again, tonight I intend to do just what they said. Thank you so much to Waffle House and its team for helping me out when I very much needed it!

If I could give this zero stars I would. We sat here for several minutes listening to one of the waitresses hacking up a lung...the sound you can only get from smoking at least a pack a day for 20+ years...without washing her hands she gave us our drinks and then set out the silverware individually touching each utensil as close to the eating end as possible and told us our waitress would be right with us. Already we were completely grossed out by how unsanitary the first lady was and were going to ask for a new set of everything that hadnt been touched by her, and then the waitress who was supposed to take our order instead got on her cell phone directly in front of us to make a personal call and completely ignored us. This happened the last two times as well at this place. We left and went to the waffle house on little road, which was perfect. Avoid this place, I felt like I was going to get sick from being in there for 5 minutes and I hadnt even touched anything.

It was 2:00am and the only restaurant open around the area, I had been to this establishment before, but had never had the experience I had the night of June 26, 2014. 1st.- it took at least 15 min for anyone to come take our order. 2nd.- I noticed the waitress took back at least 2 coffee cups back since they were dirty 3rd.- the feel of a German Roach jumping to my arm from the seat I was seated in, and then having the waitress flat out lie to my face and say it was just a "water bug" after smacking said bug off my arm with her hand. 4th.- looking back down on my seat to see another roach trying to make the same trick the first one pulled. 5th.- standing to leave, and then having the waitress say that I must pay for the coffee I barely touched from all the commotion. I left with the feeling that I still had a roach on my back. I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THAT WAFFLE HOUSE, (or any other waffle house) EVER AGAIN!!!!!

Showed up to the place having dishes everywhere no clean booths nor any clean area at the bar. We stood there waiting for twenty minutes for someone to clean a table and no employee did anything they just stood around and talked to each other. Meanwhile two different sets of customers were trying to get the waitresses attention because the food the received was completely wrong. When we finally walked out literally disgusted with the place and tired of trying to get a table, three other groups walked out as well. Not only did you lose a customer, but you hired the laziest inconsiderate people to work there.

I ordered the Hashbrown bowl, was asked if I wanted the Philly cheese on it. Thinking that they would simply put some meat on top of the eggs I said okay. I was served a bowl so greasy I couldnt eat it and there wasnt any egg on it. When I asked about, I was told it didnt come with eggs. I instructed the waitress to take it away and bring me the one with eggs and cheese. She took the bowl away, but only brought the same bowl back with some half cooled eggs on top. Disgusting bowl of grease, burnt meat and half cooked eggs.

Service was horrible for my wife and I. It took 15 minutes before one of the waitresses decided to get our order and there was only one other person there eating. Once we received our food it was not at the same time or all at once. My waffle came once my wife was almost done eating. My orange juice glass and knife were both dirty like they had been rinsed off but not actually washed. I will not be going back to this Waffle House.
