Looking for a burger? Looking to spend some money? Well, youve found your place. The Twisted Root Burger Co. serves up some GREAT burgers but be prepared to pay for the quality. The burgers are cooked med well, unless you specify otherwise, and are very well seasoned. My burger, which isnt on the menu, was a simple bacon cheddar burger. Top that with all the fixins and some mustard and we had a wonderful burger. The patty was not overly thick like many places that serve an 8 oz burger, it was cooked as advertized, and was so very juicy. The bun, which is locally made, didnt stand a chance as I took my first bite. By the midway point in my burger the bottom was soggy and falling apart. This is such a shame since the meat is was so good. The bacon and cheese were both of the higher quality variety. The cheese melted and stretched as good, mild cheddar should and the bacon was thick and well cooked. Yes, thick bacon that looked as if it had been cooked recently and not paper thin and looking like it had been cooked yesterday before they put it in the fridge. The two toppings complemented the burger as bacon and cheese should; adding to the beef rather than overpowering it. Finally, the onion strings. How I longed for nice thick onion rings. Ah well; you cant get everything you want. However, the strings were well cooked and soft. The sour cream batter was light, crisp, and delicious. This is coming from a guy who really doesnt like sour cream. Yes, Ill order them again and pretend that sour cream isnt a real thing. As far as I could see there is no combo menu so be prepared to spend a bit. $6 and up for the burger and $2 and up for the sides. For me it was money well spent. With friendly staff who look like theyre actually enjoying their job Ill definitely be heading back for another burger.

If I could leave 0 stars, I really would!!!! I went here for the first time during the new Main St. Arts Festival in Arlington,TX. I specifically asked for a bun without sesame seeds because I was allergic and the cashier told me that the veggie burger that I ordered did not come on a sesame seed bun. I was given one which appeared not to have any. However, the sides had a few baked in and the bottom was covered. When I went to return the burger to the counter, the server upon listening to what I said, immediately cut me off saying that the bun had no sesame seeds. I had to flip the burger over to show her that it did. She told someone else to get me another bun and they did, however after taking a bite I realized that bun too had sesame seeds. By then it was too late, I had a terrible allergy attack, tight throat, pain, cramps and vomiting. I threw up at every red light on the way home and Im still suffering as these attacks can last for hours. If you have bad allergies, stay away from this place. And some of the employees are rude. This was my first and last time.

Twisted Root Burger Co. was a fun place with a quirky atmosphere that, in my opinion, really suffered from one flaw. The shake was cold to the touch, but lukewarm in the mouth which completely perplexed me and my friends. Despite the shake, the burger was cooked well, the veggies tasted super fresh, and the fries were top notch fries. My favorite part about the experience by far was the variety of pickels that stand on a converted salad bar on the other side of the soda machine as well as the handcrafted rootbeer. Every kind that I tried I loved (I stayed away from the wasabi pickels because I really dont like the stuff)! Overall this place is definitely a place that I will stop into anytime I am in the neighborhood, you just wont find me ordering one of those puzzling custard shakes.

Overpriced but good. Have been going for years to both the Arlington location and the Bedford location. After today I will not return. For the first time they tried to charge me seven dollars for 3 cups with lids. On top of the sixty dollars I paid for four hamburgers &fries one corn dog and fries. When you have small kids you love cups with lids. When I mentioned after dozens of visits I have never been asked to pay for water cup with a lid the cashier just looked at me. Now they are even less kid friendly than before. Save your money. Go to Grease Monkey. Burgers are just as good and a bit cheaper. The staff also tries to keep customers happy.

The people who gave this location a good review must have went there when they first opened or have relatives that work there. My family and I heard good things about this place, so we decided to stop and have lunch. What a mistake. Just another example of a hole in the wall with high prices and nasty food. The fries were so warm, its like they used them from the day before. The hamburgers were bit size, and the workers could not remember what we ordered. We could not get out of there fast enough. Maybe it was just that location? However, to honest it was not good at all. Twisted? Got me twisted if you think Im going back to this location.

It was my first time going there, I heard really great reviews about the place and decided to go eat and give it a try. I would give this a 5 star if the customer service was better, I dont know what the ladys name is (Didnt have name tag) she was white but she was soooooo rude. (She was a cashier) For our first time being there she didnt help us with the menu and asked if we needed help with anything. I asked her what the most popular food was and she was very rude as if she didnt want to answer that so instead I just got what I wanted, didnt ask her more questions before she turned even more rude. This was at the Arlington location.

I love the food and have had a great experience everytime. I love that they now serve g - free buns. Concern: A few weeks ago, I wasnt aware their fries are wheat covered and when I ordered them in my sandwich with "gluten free bread", the server asked if it was a sensitivity. I said Yes. That server was apparently not aware the fries in my sandwich are not gluten free and I ate it. Next time I went back (this weekend) I was finally told the fries contained wheat. Now, I know! In the future, I hope the staff is given clear, consistent communication on allergy warnings for their patrons sake!

First time and I do have to say, their black bean patty was really good! Not to dry and lots of flavor. My husband got the burger with hatch chilis on it (beef patty) and I dont think Ive ever seen him speechless. Hes from NM so it so hard to find good hatch green chili here. The only downside was that it took 25 min for our burgers and with kiddos, well the wait seems longer. There isnt a kid burger (only a grilled cheese on the kids menu) but like they say, "Get a regular burger and split it in half." If you havent tried Twisted Root, youre missing out!
