We used to go to this Jakes several nights a week for happy hour. We quit going because the service was getting worse and worse. We have recently tried it again 2 or 3 times, and every time the service has been awful. Last time we were there, one of the servers was running her hands through hair over and over, and would then handle food and drinks without washing her hands; and the bartender repeatedly put her hand down the back of her pants to adjust her underwear while handling food and drinks. Tonight the service was absolutely atrocious. Unless Jamie is working, its not worth coming in here. Bottlecap Alley is a better value, and has excellent service. 05/07/2017: Went in again tonight, waited forever for the bartender to come back after she served us our first drinks. She was busy talking with a couple of guys at the other end of the bar. Looked at us several times and saw our cash on the bar and we were both looking directly at her, and she kept chatting and ignored us. The Jakes in downtown Fort Worth is amazing, this one still has serious management issues. You cant find worst service anywhere in Grapevine.

I was passing thru on my first visit to thriving Historic Downtown Grapevine,TX. The place is charming. Well intended city officials have a strict building code. that keeps all buildings in the historic charm of 100 years ago. Jakes stood out as a Western saloon for good beer and grub. When I stepped in, I certainly wasnt disappointed. The external charm carried thru in the public space. A long bar with a dozen taps assured me that I was going to have a great choice beyond just Texas longnecks. The menu is creative but relies on standards. I went for The Works - and certainly wasnt disappointed. Simply put, it was the Best Burger Ive had all year. If you get to the area, have a meal there. No Actually go there and have an EXPERIENCE!

Waited 45 minutes on sat starting at 7 not a lot of people but enough for a wait of our size party. When it came time to sit us because THE table that would work for us was vacate, hostess (who was overwhelmed and dressed like a hooker) who I spoke with 2 minutes beforehand and reminded her that she had promised that particular to us fave it away as I was standing there. Sat people who had only been standing with us for 5 minutes our table that we waited 45 minutes and they werent even a complete party and they told her that. Never will we go back. Ever!!

While driving through downtown Grapevine, searching for somewhere to eat breakfast, my family and I came upon Jakes Burgers. Sports bar, for breakfast? I had my concerns, but I was ready for a cup of coffee, and am always open minded about food. You never know. Hole in the wall restaurants, and even sports bars can serve the best food. I was pleasantly surprised. Great coffee, service, seating, and the best omelet I have had in years. Hands down, eat here. Jakes is also best known for their burgers and other lunch/dinner menu items.

Jakes is the gem of Grapevine. Unassuming and simple, you walk in and find your own table. The burgers are flat out great. All of them are double patties so bring your appetite. The staff is amazingly sweet and welcoming. They will grant any special request you might have. We had a super specific group ( A Vegan, A Zero carbs, A Teen and A Dad) everyones order was perfect. Came back the next day for breakfast and we were even further impressed. Make this a destination when your coming to The Gaylord or The Great Wolf Lodge.

Great food, but they were really short staffed for a Friday night. I had a veggie burger which was fabulous! The prices are great, but there looked to be only 2 waitresses and one hostess for the whole place and it took us a long time to get our food. Our waitress was super sweet and apologetic and she seemed to be pulling most of the weight around the place. So kudos to Spencer! But it was crowded and because of the low staff, it just held up the orders.

The place has potential to be great. No wings on the menu, which takes away from a sports bar tradition. Also, the bartender tonight has been on her cell phone all of my time here. You have to ask her to step away from the phone to get an order in. Though having easy walking access to the downtown crowd, the place is less than 1/4 full during prime game and dinner hours. That says a lot. I came here due to the glowing reviews. Wishing I wouldnt have.

Big fan of Jakes for years. This location appears to have identified and fixed most of the problems that kept it a notch below the other locations: slow service, indifferent wait staff, mediocre food. Todays visit was spot on. We noticed a lot of the staff wearing Jakes Uptown shirts, so apparently they got the message. We had a large party and five minutes into the meal someone said "Ahh, a Jakes burger" and we all smiled. Great burgers and service.

Solid experience, but overpriced. I hate when restaurants serve sides and burgers separately because it makes it extremely overpriced. In my case, I split the fries with my husband and even though the fries were a small portion, it was a good amount to share and still be able to finish my burger. My burger was great. Fresh poppy seed buns were awesome. Burgers were classic and greasy, but nothing spectacular if youre looking for lots of flavor.

The service and staff were great! Great atmosphere, cold beer and a great burger- who could ask for more. Took the whole family and had a great time! Also I liked what someone said about this location; I was passing thru to thriving Historic Downtown Grapevine,TX. Building has the historic charm - Western saloon Style- Actually go there and have an EXPERIENCE!!! Thanks Jakes! John C

Went there for lunch today and waitress seemed like she could care less about working there. Didnt seem to like that we had ordered water instead of something else. Asked her to give us some time to look at the menu and never came back. Walked past us several times to help other customers and not once looked our direction. Second time, bad service. Will not give them another chance.

Been a fan of Jakes in Addison for years and wanted to give their newest location a try. Food is always consistent and good, and the beer cold. This location actually has quite a few good tap beer choices too including some unique and interesting microbrews (local and non-local) in addition to the typical domestics.

Called today (3/17) to place an order and was told that they werent doing to go orders because they were busy... Well guess they wont ever be getting my business. Ive never heard of a place turning you away because their "busy." I wonder how much business they lost from "to go orders" today. Really disappointed.

Terrible service and cold fries. Took 15 minutes to get a beer because all the servers and the manager are just staring into space. Been waiting to pay my bill for twenty minutes and its slow!!. This is ridiculous. Went in happy left pissed off.

Service is super slow. Its a burger and fries, not sure why it should take 45 minutes. Want a drink refill? Better bring a 2 liter with you. At this point it doesnt even matter if the food is good. And dont even think about asking for anything.
