Today is the day before Easter, 2017. My wife, my son, and I decided to have lunch at Golden Corral. We have eaten at other locations previously, but never stopped at this one in Arlington, Tx. The variety of food in this place is astounding! I ate a little bit of everything. Surprisingly, everything was very good. I have had visits to other locations where the food is "not so good." The real star though, was our server, Carol. This lady is the embodiment of southern hospitality, and its obvious that there is joy in her life. Thank you Carol and all the staff at Golden Corral! Ok to touch on some of the negatives that I have read in other posts... One person commented that the food is "salty." Well... its comfort food, its supposed to be a litty on the salty side. Go eat some fruits and veggies if you dont want salt in your food. Another person commented on the fountain drinks being at the front where the line to pay and it was a pain getting a refill. SERIOUSLY?!?! Thats not for you to go get a refill. Your server refills your drinks at their stations. Another person commented on the grill being dirty. It is... thats true. But as long as it heats to a proper temperature to kill bacteria you will be fine. So this location should spend a little to have it professionally cleaned. But, I could see the food sizzle on it, so no biggie. 5 stars for my visit. Keep up the good work!

Food is good. What actually kills it is the very poor service. My husband, and I went to have breakfast there at around 8:00 am on March 27th, 16. and the cashier had a pretty bad attitude and she looked like she did not want to be there at all. Then we had a server, her name is Janice, older lady with very short hair and she was giving us this look like she didnt like kids. She kept looking and saying comments under her breath and shaking her head. She finally said we shouldnt block the way with our stroller; which let me tell you was NOT on the way except for thise 3 mins it took me to take my baby out of it and sit back down. The thing is that she said it with a BAD attitude and under her breath. I got up to ask for the manager and the same cashier gave me attitude when I asked for the person in charge. Then we have the Manager who kust stare at me and kept repeating what I was telling him. I dont know if it is too early for these people to be up and working or what but this restaurant should hire people with better attitude because after all the faces, under breath little comments and attitude we didnt even finish eating.

The GOOD: the mashed potatoes and gravy ,and macaroni were amazing.the options to eat are pretty expansive. They even had frozen yogurt. They are also hiring The BAD: finding a table was nearly impossible. They are so poorly staffed,its at a crippling level.About 80% of the tables were unbused,which was probably because they have only 2 waiters who are also : busers,and who also clean. So the people have to bus tables,refill drinks,get anything anyone wants,and sweep,etc. I paid almost $2.50 for a drink,and since all the machines are up front,and the waitress looked so overwhelmed ,i only asked for one refill,which was whatever she had in her hand,not what i wanted. To make it worse,unless youre paying with cash,you cannot tip these people.So, over worked and a waitor to, but not getting tiped like one...doesnt leave a huge incentive to provide excellent customer service.maybe put the soda machines back where the buffet is,so thats one less task your workers have to do,and the customers will be happy because they.get it themselves?

We use to be regulars here, back when the place first opened... Unfortunately, the location has gone WAY downhill. All of the breads served were just as hard as a rock, 3/4 of the entrées had been sitting on the line for ages (gravy had a quarter-inch skin on top from nobody stirring them, soups were burnt and scorched, and meats were just rubber), and the dessert bar was a pitiful excuse (they used to have tons of stuff, now it is like 1/8th the size and everything was stale) for a buffet restaurant. The manager did rectify the situation with our dissatisfaction, but that isnt going to change the fact that a lot of people are still eating crap food and its all old stuff. We will not be returning, period, even though the manager have us a coupon to come back at a discount. Sorry Golden Corral, you have missed the mark just WAY too many times. I wont be even touching our experience in Branson, MO because this is a different place, but I will say that I think the problem is company wide.

This is our favorite place to go eat dinner but tonight this is the worst experience i have had here. The first thing you walk in all the coke vending coke mechines were broken. The store was filthy the restaurant was dirty i was very disappointed with your restaurant i spent my hard earned money there $61 dollars. I could of ate somewhere else but i love to go to golden carrol to eat for dinner once or twiced a month but i dont really think i will be eating in your restaurant again. If the health dept came in tonight i dont think you would be open much longer anyways. The food was cold meat was tough the counters were dirty. I am ashamed of your business what the hell is wrong with you not having pride in your restaurant. I was really sick from the pride in your restaurant. I think you need to fix your mechines and take more pride in your bussiness you really should clean up or close up. Signed with regret Deborah Willims.

Went there for the first time and there was a long line to get in. I liked the fact there was different stations of food categories but didnt like the idea that the only beverage fountain there was, was where the long line to enter was, pretty awkward cutting in front of people to just get a refill. The place was so packed that I had to keep waiting just for a cotton candy cuz it was out every time I went up, even checking just five minutes prior. My brother didnt even get much dessert to choose from as the choices were out and ice cream machines ran out. Other than that, the food was okay and the service was good, but please put the drink fountain near the food for better access. Hopefully we get a better experience for our money next time if we go again. Maybe it was only this location.

This was a terrible experience. Everything was stale and crappy tasting. Noone removed any old plates the whole time we were eating we watched a several servers refill someones ice by dipping their used cup with straw in it into the ice bin and contaminate the whole bin . i asked if they were going to have jello and instead of adding some bowls of jello like they usually do she just threw a huge bin of jello and added a spoon. We got up for a sec and someone started pilling used cups and plates to our table when i came back i asked for them to clean the table as we were not ready to leave and the guy acted like i was bothering him. They had a leak from the ceiling dripping in a little bin that was full of gross water that was super appetizing.
