Buffet King, indeed -- this place is a great place. After reading the reviews and asking around, everyone told us to go and try it for ourselves. WELL?! Our expectations were not disappointed. Lovely atmosphere, clean and efficient services, fresh and tasty choices at the buffet, decent prices (changes a little according to the time of day/weekend) - whats not to love? I have been to a number of creepy buffets where the service is abysmal, the food is nothing to rave about (where youre afraid to try some of the dishes?), and at the end of it all, its way overpriced. But not at Buffet King, yaaay! Its our new favorite. For two people (ordering water) it was a total bill of $21. HELLO?! Go. Try. Enjoy. Bon apetite!

Normally I like this place but the past two times if you dont go exactly at lunch or dinner the food is very old. This time they had no mushrooms of any kind and I had to eat a lot of chicken which I dont really like. It didnt taste bad but today I woke up with a feeling like a hangover even though I dont drink. My stomach is moving alot and my head feels nauseous and swimming. I hope this is only a mild food poisoning but has been just over 24 hrs so I dont know yet. Also the server who was standing by the drink station was talking about me in Japanese not expecting a Gaijin to know Japanese. But I am also part Japanese and speak Japanese so I heard it.

Food was ok but the service kind of sucked. We were there before 4pm and we hadnt finished eating when we get our check, dinnercontinued to eat. Then when we got some shrimp and crab legs, one of the waiters came and told us that they were serving dinner, but since we already had our ticket they were not going to charge us as dinner and told us to not get anymore. It almost felt like she thought I didnt have enough money to pay if we had been charged as dinner. I have been to many different buffets and they all charge one price all day on weekends, this sucked.

Been there several times food is nasty, tables not clean, overpriced for cold food, if you like this place then TV dinners are gourmet cooking to you, wont waste my money here anymore I travel for a living and have ate at some pretty awful restaurants around the nation, this is in the top 5 worst restaurants I have eaten in over the last 18yrs of traveling...and whats worse is this place is in my home town.....this is the Ramen noodle of Chinese restaurants

2.5 Stars. 1st for not making me sick. *see edit* 2nd for no annoying music. Nothing particularly disgusting. Nothing I tried was even average. Vanilla ice cream dispenser did not work: not that it would matter because the cones were stale. Service was pleasant. Tables were clean. *EDIT* 30 minutes after the original post, I nearly defecated in my pants. Very unpleasant. I down graded to 1 star and recommend going elsewhere.

Another place that doesnt believe in air conditioning. Food was below average, dried out, and little selection.. Baked salmon still had the skin on it! YUCK! Even the ice cream was lousy and there were no toppings. Front entry had a booth selling dental insurance and behind the counter looked like the storage area at dollar general. A very low class establishment. Give this place a wide berth!

I love this place. They have a ton of different stuff. I have not even come close to trying them all, but keep knocking out more with every visit. There is just so much to choose from, and you dont want to neglect your favorites. They have a sushi bar and Mongolian grill. Great value. Friendly staff. Just dont plan on eating anymore that day and maybe the next after you go.

This place has gone to hell! Rude service, management will only mock you, smells like dirty mop water and they will charge you full price even after yoive complained about the food not being cooked all they way! Save you time, money and stomach! Will definitely be placing a call to the health department!!

Amazing food. My favorite place to town. Have been going here for years and will still continue to go. There is a reason its always busy. Great prices. Not too noisy, and no loud or annoying music. I have not tried the Mongolian grill, but everything else is great. Not always hot, but they restock often.

Good selection of food but they add MSG. I could feel the effects of MSG after 2 minutes of eating it. Thats too bad because it is closer to my house. It appears that the owner of Buffet Palace in Lewisville are the same people that own it. Also, their water taste like bleach water.

The food was pretty poor, especially the seafood selections. The crab legs tasted funny and seemed like they had been sitting there all day. Small selection of items, and a lot of fried foods. Crab rangoons sucked! The sushi was o.k. It was expensive, too! Will not go there again.

The food was okay if you want an okay meal. Its worth your going here. The price is very reasonable. A lot cheaper than buffets in California. Food is cooked thoroughly. I like the green beans and the fried shrimp in batter the most. Sushi though, dont get it.

Food is sub-par and the popular dishes one usually goes for taste different and not in a good way. Personnel-wise: very rude sushi chef but waiters were decent. Overall, I think you can find a better value for your money or time elsewhere.

Horrible! The server was okay but the pineapple was rotten and when I told the manager she argued with me saying thats how it was suppose to taste. I had to run to the bathroom and throw it up. So no, that is not how its suppose to taste.

Its a nice place to go with the family to get a quick bite. The food is nice and hot when I have been here with my family. The Mongolian grill is my favorite. Pick what I want, the cook then cooks it; can not ask for anything more.

I LOVE buffet king. I know its not for everyone. But its clean. LOTS of food choices, food is replaced quickly. Pricing is cheap. Oh, and the open sushi bar. I always leave regretting my choices, in a good way.

Its better than most Chinese buffets but thats not saying much. The waitstaff sometimes takes too long to bring your check but the food is usually good. The sushi is the best Ive found in a buffet.

Many offerings of Asian as well as alternatives, desserts. The Human grill was my favorite, because you pick your own ingredients and they are cooked fresh and hot in front of you. Decent value.

Wow what a selection. Loved the sushi, Mongolian grill and salmon. Lots of traditional Chinese food to choose from as well. My Saturday lunch buffet was only $9.99 what a deal. I will be back

Our favorite place. We love the shrimp and crab salad, fried fish. But the Asian choices have too much five star spice or some other spice we dislike. But sushi choices are good and fresh.

Food is about what we expect for a buffet. Mediocre and not all that appetizing. They have variety including sushi and Mongolian grill. But, have had better out of gas stations.
