I have been happy with my meals in the dining room, but both times weve gotten take out, we were TOTALLY ripped off. Last night we got 2 orders of Carnitas ($9.75 a plate) and the meat was in small, dry, overcooked pieces...like what wouldve been scraped out of a pan at the end of the night to toss, but it was only 7pm. I guarantee they never wouldve served us this if we were eating there. Plus, (even though they do serve less than other Mexican restaurants around here) we got about HALF the serving size as weve previously gotten in the dining room. They even skimped on the rice and beans. When I was moving the food to a plate, I literally had 3 plastic forkfuls of each - both orders were this skimpy. AND they only gave us one small bag of tortilla chips. They also forgot the sour cream & guacamole thats supposed to come with the Carnitas. The rip-off was almost as bad when we ordered take out Fajitas a while back - the food was good that time but the amount of food was ridiculous. SO, while I may go there and eat in a pinch because its so close to home, I will NEVER get take out again. Lesson learned.

This is the best Mexican joint around here. The margaritas are pretty good, though sweet for me. I add a dash of salt, and theyre perfect! The La Parilla Loca recipe, I have on good authority, is from the Lords personal collection. Angels sing as you take your first bite. The Cazuelon is utterly divine as well. Theyre my go-tos.... And I go to them as often as humanly possible. The service is always prompt, friendly, and thorough. Ive been at least 2 dozen times over the past year, and our food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. Ive never had a bad dish. Word of advice-- when you can sub out the shredded chicken for grilled chicken, do! The grilled chicken in on a completely different playing field. If youre down for spicy, ask for the "hot n spicy" rice instead of the regular they give you. Its rice mixed with all sorts of grilled peppers. mmmmmmm.

Food is good and the restaurant is nice but honestly, theyre too expensive! We usually get our food to go so we can enjoy our meal in peace at home. We ask for extra chips since theres several of us and they want to charge for anything more than 2 small paper bags. We get cheese dip and its around $5.00 for a "large" which is about half the price of a full meal. Dont even get me started on the times when theyve screwed up our order and you get home and youre stuck with fajitas with no tortillas or something that totally screws up your meal. Weve been loyal for a long time, but its time for a change. Wish there was a Las Palmas closer to us in La Vergne. We loved eating there in Murfreesboro, but the closest now is Antioch or Mt. Juliet and its just not close enough when youre too busy to drive there.

My self & a co-worker just left Margarita House for lunch. I ate, she was finishing up when she saw our waiter sitting at the bar looking in our direction picking his nose. I turned around to look at him then turned back around. She said she saw him sitting there giggling & laughing. He saw her looking at him while he was digging in his nose. We complained & literally was treated as if WE did something wrong! Was told when we complained that all he can do is "talk" to him. Wow! Seriously contemplating ever going back which sucks because myself & my friends go there all the time. This place has truly gone down hill big time!

This is the only Mexican restaurant in Smyrna that has Mexican food close to the actual stuff. We had a hard time finding somewhere with REAL salsa and not tomatoes with some cilantro in it. We have been frequenting Margarita House for over a year now and the service is always great and the food is great! They have Margarita specials from Sun-Wed :D Excellent value!

Found black hair in my chimichanga , I felt the waitress was blaming me for putting it there I have redhair not black. She took it to the manager and said that there is only males in the kitchen and they all wear hairnets. Still charged us full price and asked me if I wanted a box for my leftovers! Never will I set foot in that place again!!

Ate there 2 weeks ago and saw 3 roaches walking on mens bathroom door. I told manager that they have a roach infestation and he just looked at me and did not respond. Just think if I saw 3 in the mens restroom, there has to be numerous amounts in kitchen. That will be the last time I eat there period. Be on lookout for roaches if you go!

This place treats me like family each and every time we eat here, which is about one time per month. The staff rocks! Super clean! And great festive environment! I miss the trivia - they use to have an awesome trivia lady (wink wink)! I recommend the chicken over rice. Its simple, filling, and fresh!

This is the only place i go out to eat at. Weve been going for a few years and just about every time we go it is so awesome. They have the best margaritas and salsa which is what distinguishes them. I often beg my husband to go all the time and i bring friends and my car club as often as i can.

The tortillas chips are not freshly fried. No shredded beef chimichanga, actually, NO shredded beef anywhere on the menu! The ice tea was NOT ice tea, but sweet tea. The service was exceptional, but food was bland in taste. Dont come to Tennessee expecting authentic Mexican food.

Service was so bad I dont even think of leaving a tip. Had to send my food back because some thing was in it. Did not receive an apology for it or a discount for the trouble. The server never brought us anything we asked for the first time. I dont think I will ever go back.

Absolutely love this place. The food is wonderful an the service is very good. They even make several of my favorite dishes that arent on the menu. The prices are good and lots of coupons and discounts available. I try to go at least once a week and many times twice a week.

The food is great but they have the worst service Ive ever had anywhere!! No matter how dead or busy it is you never see the servers!! Last 2 times Ive been there Ive had to get up and ask for drinks or food they forgot to bring.I will not be going back for a long time!!

We tried every Mexican restaurant with a five radius of here and this far and away the best foor or drinks. We often bring the entire family and sit on the patio. As a southern California native I take my Mexican food serious...if I could give ten stars I would.
