Puerto used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in town, but in recent years their customer service skills seem to have dropped off. With all of the friendly competition offering essentially the same menu options, I prefer to go where they seem to appreciate my business. UPDATE: We hadnt been for a while, so we decided to see if anything had changed. We were pleased to see that they had renovated, added a classic pub style band on Wednesdays, and the service was very good. Ive changed my original review to 4-stars due to the positive changes and band!

It amazes me that this restaurant has good ratings. It is more about the clientele than the quality of the food. If you have never been out of southern Kentucky you DONT KNOW GOOD MEXICAN FOOD! It is bland, unimaginative and poor. A burrito tastes just like the relleno, that tastes just like the chimichanga. If you have EVER eaten Mexican Food in the Southwestern US, AVOID THIS PLACE! You will just be disappointed. Yuck!
