Just left there. I sat by the door and was the only one-top there. Chips and salsa came as soon as I sat down. So did the waitress to take a drink order. When she came back she asked if i was ready to order. I said I needed a minute because it was my first time. She huffed, said okay and walked off. Then she came back 45 seconds later and asked if I was "ready yet". After she took my order that was the last time she came to my table. I ordered fajitas, and other servers brought my food or I asked if they could help me. Food was alright. My waitress was way too busy doing her off work and rolling silverware to even bring me a refill or my check or a to-go box. Maybe 9pm on a Saturday was the wrong time to go? I finally asked a server if he could bring my check and a box and he did. I left a tip because I hope the other servers who took care of me split the tip. The other servers all seemed very busy, but mine was too immature. This restaurant has real tortillas and a real Mexican band in the bar area. I am just extremely disappointed in the service. I am glad I went alone because I would have been humiliated by the service if I had brought a friend who had never been there. I was going to give one star, but the tortillas are real and the band was pretty good.

First of all I dont typically post negative reviews but after reading other comments about La Terraza I feel compelled to share our experience. We have been there once before and didnt have a great experience but decided to give the place another try. Again, they were shorted staffed. We did have a table of 7 so we tried to be patient but we had to ask several times for water refills. One member in our party received their food after everyone else had already ate. Our waitress left and apparently didnt give our checks to anyone else. We waited an hour (no exaggeration) for our checks. After crappy service, subpar food, and a long wait for the checks, the so-called manager came to our table with a very unprofessional attitude. He insisted that we were lying about what we had, when clearly our plates were still in front of us and refusing to apologize for the poor service. No one wanted a free meal, all of us were plenty capable and willing to pay for our meal. When someone at our table stated that we would just appreciate an apology for our poor experience, the manager said, "thats not my problem" and asked us to leave. I really wish I was making this up but its the honest truth. Never again will they get our business.

For years this was one of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. I had not been to La Terrazas in at least 6 months and went with my daughters recently. They have remodeled by tearing out a wall and adding a stage for karaoke. While the changes do look good the service has suffered unfortunately. The nice waitresses that were once there are gone. We only had one male server that spent most of his time talking with the manager and making us wait for our drinks and food. The food has also suffered as my steak fajitas where dry and the portion sizes were much smaller. After speaking with the manager about these things he told me that these were just the new changes. While we went during the day I have not been to any karaoke nights. Hopefully the service is much better then.

I live close by this place and usually go a couple times a month. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews as this place is clean, the food is great, the prices are fair and the service is good (not great but not bad) and the kitchen is really fast! Coming from the Southwest I found a lot of the Mexican food in Nashville was ok at best, nothing like back home. This place comes damn close and has the best (most authentic) Mexican food Ive had here so far. They also have weekly drink specials and the place can get hoppin on these days. Theres a nice little patio to sit on if the weather is nice (though thats usually where all the smokers are) and a separate room with a bar. Its a great little spot with a good atmosphere and great food!

Terrible service. Order was completely wrong and I got way over charged. I got stuck with a server that spoke barely any English. She took my order said okay. My order was brought to Me and def wasnt what I had ordered. I complained to Someone that spoke English fluently thinking matters would get solved. Nothing. The manager came over and said I had ordered what I ordered and there was nothing they could do. Ridiculous for a manager to say these things. Im an excellent customer at restaurants and always tip well. This was the worst experience I have ever had in my 30 years of eating out. There are so many better authentic Mexican restaurants in the area w/ tremendous service. Save yourself the hassle.

Horrible location , there was something black in the chips basket wich was gross , they wouldnt let me order a drink because I hadnt changed my ID ( which wasnt nearly expired ) DO NOT recomend this place to ANYONE thats trying to enjoy the food and have a good time . Terrible staff especially the hostess named " Paty " she had a horrible attitude . And the management was even worse . Ended up not ordering anything at all . Great job treating your customers right . Keep it up and youll lose your business .

Food was awesome. Service was BAD. Wrong order, wrong drinks and refills, and then we went to check out and the card reader was down. Ten minutes later they decided to lie to us and tell us that my debit card declined. Showed them I had money by pulling up my bank account on the phone and then had to walk to Kroger ATM while my wife stood there another 15 minutes. I got back and wasnt even apologised to or offered a discount. Payed with cash and decided we will not be back.

I would love to say I eat here once a week. That would be a lie. I eat here 2-3 times a week. I live in Nashboro Village right behind it. I call in my order, leave my apartment, arrive at La Terraza and my food is ready. $10 bucks feeds two people. Im 220 lbs and I am satisfied with half an order for dinner. Nia, give them another shot. Tell them youre sorry for the horrible review and you wont have to live out the rest of your sniveling, miserable life without La Terraza.

Our waitress didnt speak any English. Which isnt a problem but we only speak English. She got our order wrong. The manager came out we told them what we ordered he argued with us and said that it wasnt on the menu. I asked him to bring the menu over so we could show him where the men it was on the menu. He said oh okay. Then 10 minutes later they brought out our food. We will not be going back here.

I am currently here And the waitress told us we could get a margarita for $4. She goes to get them then comes back and says that she has the price wrong. We asked for a manager and the manager said he was not changing the price after we was told we could get drink for $4. I asked the manager if he cared about losing business and he said no. Im about to post a picture of him. I will not be back.
