I was a visitor to Nashville last Thursday when a group of 5 of us ventured out for dinner. We saw a charming place called the Treehouse and thought it looked quaint and decided to try it. The hostess outside was very friendly and up beat and convinced us to come and try this awesome place. So of course how could we refuse.....big mistake! We were showed to our table, which was in the back, outside, beautiful night so all is fine. Unfortunately sitting 5 people around a small picnic table was not ideal and mentioned it to the pretentious tree hugging waitress who really was not interested. Her lack of customer service sucked. The staff made us feel like we were inconveniencing them by being there...hmmmm if you dont want customers then ya should of just locked the doors. The menu was then explained to us that it was family style eating, I asked about the portion size and she told us it was a bit more than what you would get if you were at a tapas restaurant and that the food could be shared. Well at $15-$22 a plate I would hope so! She also mentioned that most people ordered 7-9 dishes to share. So we each ordered something we liked and decided to add some bread to it. Mind you they wont bring out the food all at the same time, she arrived with the bread first...it was burnt to buggery. When the server eventually came back to our table I asked if it was supposed to be this way because we dont really like burnt bread. She then takes the bread back to the kitchen, now she comes back and tells us the chef took a bite out of the bread and told her it was fine and she did not want to bring us anymore bread as it would be the same. You wont even admit that you cant bake a loaf of bread so you try and pass it off as some noveau riche dish. Burnt is burnt and Gordon Ramsey would have given him a right tongue lashing!! Other than the lack of customer service and the burnt bread. The food was rather delicious but over priced for the portion size. I would not recommend going there and Im sure I wont be returning and by the way Chef my husband is also a chef, unfortunately he was not with us on this trip but I sure wished he had of been.

I wish I could say that I loved this place; the concept is really fun, however the service we received was abysmal and the average food forced me to write my very first google review. As visitors to Nashville, everyone in my party was looking forward to the experience eating in a treehouse. Unfortunately, the night started off poorly and never got back on track. The first disappointment of the night came after an innocent mistake parking in a lot not owned by treehouse resulted in one of our cars getting a ticket, we were upset but not at Treehouse. While we were forced to pay the ticket we did not want another innocent group to make the same mistake so we politely suggested that the hostess to inform people entering the restaurant that the parking lot next to their restaurant was a paying lot and that you would get a ticket if you didnt pay immediately. The hostess responded very rudely that it wasnt hers, or the restaurants, responsibility to warn guests that their cars might get a pricey ticket because of poorly placed signs. I do not agree, please pay attention to the parking signs if you do intend to go to this restaurant. The second disappointment of the night was that our waiter was slow and down right rude at times to the guests in our party. We had to ask for simple things like ice multiple times before the waiter would even acknowledge our request. One simple request for salt was met with a two minute condescending speech about the seasoning of their food. The food was fine but nothing to write home about. The final disappointment came when after encouraging us to say for more food and drinks we were asked to leave the treehouse so that another party could come in. This request came as we were taking a couple of pictures to commemorate the evening and paying our checks. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone visiting Nashville who is looking for the southern hospitality or good food.

I visited Treehouse with 3 friends on a Friday night. We got drinks and ordered the souffle dessert. The beer selection was awesome with some really yummy choices. However, the souffle left something to be desired. It wasnt sugary enough and the sauce that came with it came cold. For a $14 dessert I expected more. Additionally the staff was unfriendly and at times plain rude. We ask the hostess to take a picture of us and the waiter said "oh no you dont." A couple minutes later we ask the hostess again and she reluctantly said yes and managed to flick the phone quickly and get a terribly blurry picture. Upset, we asked the waiter to try to take a picture of us and he again reluctantly agreed. We could tell that we werent wanted there. Still not sure what we did wrong to deserve their unfriendliness. Its safe to say that I wont be back and I wont be recommending people to come here.

We had always wanted to try the treehouse restaurant because it looked so nice from the outside. I had seen the negative reviews but since other restaurants had a long wait, we thought we would give it a shot. I think We had the worst unwelcoming service Ive ever had in a restaurant. The waiter seemed stressed, bored and really not interested in being a host. I even asked him if something was wrong and he just mentioned that he was just very busy taking care of the whole room by himself. He never explained the menu that most of it were small appetizers which was not clearly explained on the menu and also not reflected by the price. Only after we ordered he told us. The food was good but portions were really small. I would not recommend this restaurant. There are too many good restaurants in Nashville to have to deal with this.

The only thing good was the atmosphe the treehouse itself was very cute. However, server failed to acknowledge all guests at the table, was slow, food took a long time and some items were over seasoned while others were underseasoned. Staff all looked dowdy and dirty. Food overpriced for quantity and quality while not allowing for substitutions. Very little parking and parking lot next door did not have signs for Paid parking so tickets are distributed. Staff rude and uninterested in helping or accomidating their guests. Staff also asked our party to hurry up and leave because the next reservation had arrived while not acknowledging that food was slow on delivery therefore causing our party to overstay our resevation. Will not go back and recommend that others go at their own risk, but be forewarned.

First time reviewer, normally easily pleased and dont feel strongly enough to post. But after eating here recently, felt compelled to share our negative experience....The discrepancy between the price and the quality and portions of the dishes was the most unfavorable Ive seen in Nashville. And the service was not good. We like family style and tapas restaurants, and dont mind paying a little extra, but this place left our whole group of six disappointed and angry that we spent so much for what we got. We had ordered all the proteins and three small dishes, but we were still hungry and had to go next door to get pizza after leaving this restaurant. Wont come here again, and STRONG NO to any future recommendations.
