There was a fly in my food!! I ordered delivery and got more than I bargained for. A big nasty fly was in my food. When I called to complain I was told to bring it back. I explained that I had a house full of children for a sleepover that I was not able to do that. I asked if she could contact the driver who had only left about 3 minutes before and ask him to return. The woman on the phone said, "No, hes not coming back, sorry, " and hung up the phone. Having just spent over $40 I called back only to spend another 10 minutes arguing with the staff. No resolution was ever reached and the kids were definitely not going to eat any of the other food after seeing the fly. This place caters to starving students and the poor people who live in the neighborhood. Though theu do take Lipscomb Bison Bucks, I have a hard time imagining anyone with any other food options traveling from Lipscomb University to eat here.

"Best Wok"--did no one ever say about this place. Good: white rice was excellent. Bad: price, quality, and serving size of everything other than the rice. I ordered "large" General Taus chicken which range up (after delivery charge but before tip) to $12.25. Serving size was very small--enough for one person, barely. I cannot imagine a smaller size. Quality of chicken was horrible. The chicken was a handful (small handful) of small (as in nickel size) overcooked chicken with almost no flavor at all. The broccoli under the chicken were crunchy, as in did not cook long enough. I gave it two stars based on the fact very few Chinese restaurants deliver downtown so if you are craving some Chinese food you could find it edible--if youre not too hungry and want to overpay. I think the other reviews on here must have ordered from a different place--or they are bogus, one of the two. Sorry.

Omg I dont know which best Wok these other reviews came from but they certainly didnt come from the Best Wok I went to. I think I went to the Not so great Wok --- How do you not make Fried Rice Correctly if your a Chinese restaurant? and The Egg Rolls?? not even edible -- sorry Nashville you totally dont know Chinese food thats for sure but the other 959 million restaurants you have will have to do. Nashville is not lacking in restaurants and Bars -- if you dont pass 8 restaurants/Bars per block your not in Nashville... Anyway I have to be in Nashville once a month - I will try another Chinese Restaurant sometime or other but this one will be a No Way -- if you cannot master egg rolls and fried rice then you dont get a 2nd chance sorry. Gen Tsos chicken -- fair - the dumplings Awesome they got a pass on that one -- Ribs Poor and fatty. - Pu Pu Platter - Terrible.

I attend college near this place. Went there about a month ago, on a remmendation. I spent a good 25 bucks on food. Had the rice noodles, combination fried rice, crab ragoon, and orange chicken. The orange chicken was the only "descent" part of the buy. The fried rice was mushy, with no flavor. I wondered if they even fried it, and if they were using the 79 cent long grain white rice, like you buy at Kroger. The crab Rangoon had trace amounts of cream cheese, and were nearly burnt. The rice noodles were better than the fried rice in texture, but was still very poor in flavor. I wont be back, and I will warn others not to EVER spend your money here. Analogy: "You go for a hair cut...and you just cant wait for it to grow back out, so you can at least salvage the little good looks you do have."

I ordered take-out for Fried Dumplings (8), Beef Fried Rice, Chicken Lo Mein. The fried dumplings had a soft/soggy texture which I didnt enjoy and was definitely too oily. It was also way too salty. Beef fried rice, it was the best dish in my opinion. Being an Asian American college student who had grown up eating home-cooked chinese food, I thought it was decent although the rice texture was a bit sticky when it shouldnt have been. Chicken Lo Mein - the chicken was bad - dry, and it seemed like a leftover from some salted chicken/strips dish. The noodles itself were great, not too salty and the texture was fine. I would probably get it in the future. The price is definitely cheap with an average of $5-7 per dish which makes it a nice meal for a group of friends while studying.

As a truck driver and a lover of oriental food, I must say that I am not easily impressed when it comes to certain Chinese restaurants. Best Wok has gone above and beyond my expectations! Eating Chinese food all over the United States and have never been impressed by such a friendly service and delicious tasting food. Even though I was just outside their delivery area the gentleman was kind enough to tell me what steps I needed to take in order to have my food delivered. I am a first-timer in Nashville Tennessee and the next time I come through here I will order again. Thank you Best Wok! If you have yet to try this place, go for it!

Very irritated buy restaurant! There website says they deliver 2.5 miles around restaurant. They told me they dont deliver to me when i called. I work exactly 2.5 miles down the road. Very unsatisfied!!! I was really wanting to eat Chinese food tonight. Now i cant! I cannot leave work to go pick it up! Thats false advertising! I only ask that you take that off your website! I will have my other co-workers call and try to order. So when you refuse there service they will leave negative review. So much for having regular customers. Your loss BEST WOK!

I was reluctant to try Best Wok based on some of the comments. Fellow employees get lunch from their all of the time so I gave it a try. I got chicken with Chinese vegetables and Hot and Sour soup. I love Hot and Sour soups but based on some reviews, I almost did not get it. Im glad that I took the risk. Ive had Chinese food at every place in Midtown and by far, they have the best Hot and Sour soup. The chicken was very good as well. I picked up the food myself. They were quick to prepare it and the employee at the counter was very pleasant.

I understand that sometimes mistakes are made and am forgiving when it does. No big deal...usually. But not only did they forget the sweet and sour sauce for my sweet and sour chicken in my delivery order, it took them over an hour and a half to return with it. AND they didnt offer anything to make up for it. I didnt even get any fortune cookies :( I only order from this place because I can do it online through my school. The food is okay and will just suffice when you dont feel like going anywhere and have low standards.

I ordered the hot and sour soup and it arrived with a broken lid and soup had spilled all over everything in the bag. The soup was literally like sipping on liquid cardboard. No flavor at all... The general tsos chicken was mushy and had WAY to much gelatin like sweet goo all over it... the egg rolls were soggy and greasy.. All in all worst food I have ever gotten, tasted like 3 day old leftovers.. I would not ever recomend this place to anyone..
