The food, oh my Sweet goodness! The food was amazing. That is, after we FINALLY recieved it. We were seated within ten minutes in a "two or three minute wait" by what the hostess said. We were seated. Everyone was friendly, and pleasant. We sat and chit chatted and before we knew it we were chit chatting for 20 minutes. I began looking around. And normally if a place is getting there butts kicked and getting their their butts handed to them, I dont mind a wait. Especially after leaving Camino Real because they were on a two hour wait. Well, we could have waited, chit chatted, ordered, ate, and chatted some more at Camino and still got done before we ACTUALLY got out of this joint. There were two parties of like ten or twelve, but neither of those tables had the same waiter as us. And there were probably four empty tables. We got here at 645pm. We finally got our drinks at 7:19pm. Then we got chips and salsa very shortly after, and I requested cheese dip. It was atleast another 15 minutes before we recieved our cheese dip and ordered. We finally got our food 8:30pm. Then we got tired of waiting for the check so we left an $8 too, and then waited at the cash register for them to find our waiter, and ring us up. I decided that I needed to collect $4 off of the table and after paying for our $30 tab, I gave the other $4 to the manager to give to his waiter at the end of the night. I wouldnt want him to not be able to pay his bills, so he needed to be aware of the issue. Be aware of why I wanted him to think that he only got a $4 on a table that was forced to sit at his table for over two hours. I thought that the tip was well over the normal percentage I always try to tip WAY over the normal. I survived, put myself through school, and supported my child as a single parent with two waitressing jobs. So I believe in tipping. But not bad service. And I dont believe in tipping your waiter or waitress any less then you normally tip due to just one rough night, or one mess up. The food, AMAZING!!! The friendliness was great and everything else they had going for them. We watched three tables come in, eat and leave before we even thought about being able to eat. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to others. The fajita salad was the bomb dot com, even though I didnt get a taco shells. We were probably in the wrong place at the wrong time, and we got handed the little mistakes. That are definitely fixable for the next customers! Our waiter was very concerned with our wait after he realized the time we spent in there. And was friendly. I didnt want to make him have a worse night then he might have already been having so I didnt want him to have to answer for it until his shift was complete though. Any other time I have been here, we have been in and out, no huge huge waits even when they are slammed packed. All around it is a great restaurant.

Left feeling awkward and rushed out - the food is decent, basically what you expect at a sit down Mexican-American place. The motivation of the service left me feeling wondering this time. Got in at about 9:40 pm on a friday, planning on a pitcher of dos equis and some dinner. Even though their hours state that they are open til 11pm, it looked as if they were already cleaning up, but still had guests. Being by myself, they carded me, as last time, but however, unlike the first time i ate here. I wondered about that inconsistency from the last two times too. This time however, they sent out a second guy to card me and take my order. Needless to say there was a bit of a language barrier, not so much as the guy not speaking english as not particularly paying attention while trying to come off as really friendly and helpful. He kind of ignored that i was trying to explain that another server already carded me and took my drink order, so i just put in the order again. He also walked off when i tried to ask about this recent carding policy regarding a single guest ordering a pitcher, so i got no answer on that. The food came out really fast, though, and was ok, hence the 3 stars. Since their hours state they are open til 11pm, i also noticed, sitting right around the corner from the entrance (besides the cleanup already underway) that they were turning away customers walking in right at 10pm, they only allowed customers doing takeout orders to hang around in the lobby. I caught the original server and asked him if theyre closing already, but he said no, im fine. Once i was finished with my meal, and finishing down the dos equis, about 10:20 to 30, the main server sat down in the booth accross from me, which made me kind of uncomfortable. Thats when i got the sense of being rushed out and finished off my drink real quick, and no quicker did he clear the table. Now im still under the impression that the place is officially open for another half an hour, yet felt like i overstayed my welcome. I have walked into similar restaurants before, ordering the same things, 20 min before closing, when they already cleaned most of the place up, but didnt feel the slightest pressure from the staff to hurry up and leave. Did the sit down thing here 3 times now, but i think next time it will just be a take out order.

Awful! Do not eat here. Ate at this place last night because it was in the HoJo where we stayed. What a mistake! I woke up at 2 a.m. with indigestion, and usually nothing wakes me. Still repeating on me. Was worse for my husband who, after a few bites of his awful carne asada, needed Tums already by the time we got back to the hotel room; he started vomiting first thing this morning and couldnt keep anything down until later in the afternoon.

After waiting 5 minutes for hostess, she finally shows up. Told been waiting awhile, her response I kid u not, "my bad". Really! Then asked what Id like, HMM, how about a seat. Asks me what Id like 2 drink, water no lemon. What does she bring me, u guessed it, water with lemon, pointed it out, her response, takes lemon out of water. Never got 2 food with service that bad can only imagine food being better. AVOID!!!

I wish I could have put zero stars. I decided to try this restaurant with a friend. We sat down and the waiter brought chips and salsa. Before I could even taste a chip. I saw a huge bug floating in the salsa. The waiter claimed it was a tomato but Ive never seen a black/brown tomato with legs. So needless to say, I will never be back. He even followed us out and asked why we were leaving... yikes

Worst service the server was extremely rude we got kicked out and forced to pay at exactly 10:00 pm due to restaurant closing. My daughter did not even get to finish her meal, you dont do that no restaurant is to force you to leave you wait until the last customer is done just like every other place. Very unprofessional never coming back
