Are you kidding me? This place is a joke! Somehow the food is completely different from the (better) mexican food at the OTHER Casa Brava on the other side of town. This place is cute on the inside, but the food is crap. They have no hard liquor license (you wanted margaritas? I dont think so!), chips arent even served warm, the "salsa" is crushed tomatoes (hello...seasoning? pico? spice? flavor? Anything?) and the food comes off an assembly line so fast that they dont take time to finish cooking it. I went there and ordered soft tacos on corn tortillas (newsflash: in real mexican joints, this is how they would be served anyway!). What came out? Flour tortillas with meat in them and cold beans--so cold the cheese topping wasnt melted. No salsa, cilantro, etc even though the menu specified that there should be some. I specifically showed the waiter and reminded him that I asked for corn tortillas; he had the audacity to say "that is corn" before looking at my plate and realizing that I was right. My boyfriends fajitas came out with a big hunk of bone in them. Nobody in the kitchen could spot that??? This food is not mexican food, not even texican food, not even dog food. FYI to all of you who love that white cheese goo: its SUPPOSED to be made with ACTUAL COTIJA cheese. Youre being served WHITE VELVEETA. Processed corn oil people, not food. Disgusting! I find it highly unlikely that the people serving this stuff eat this way at home--theyre just taking advantage of the fact that most of the patrons here have no clue what decent mexican tastes like.

Ditto to the reviewer who wishes she could give 0 stars. Where do I start? I ordered carry out and was essentially out on hold while the gal told me about the problems she was seeing on the screen and how she didnt know if she could place the order, and yet it wasnt clear if she were trying to solve it or hoping Id just go away. Granted, I ordered late -- with half an hour before closing -- but, when I worked in the restaurant business, the customer who showed up at 5 minutes before closing got the same service. The restaurant was filthy. The bartender was cleaning up and talking to another staff member who, it appeared, seemed put out that I had interrupted his cocktail. The bartender barely spoke to me, much less smiled, and I, rather than wait any longer for him to ask if he could help me, explained that I was picking up an order. Every space on the bar and every nearby table was wet and he went from space to space trying to find a dry spot to lay my receipt down for me to sign it. I paid $10 plus tip for cold, stale chips and a cold a la carte chimi--most of which I pitched. What a waste! I will not be back.

If I can give them zero stars I would. Back in March I ordered Carnitas to go and only received veggies/beans/sour cream with no carnitas. I had to go all the way back just to get my carnitas. Today I ordered burrito mexicano and got burrito casa brava instead. I told the server that I had ordered burrito mexicano and after the server asked the waiter they ended up saying no this is what you order and placed the plate in front of me. Super rude. They never apologized for getting the order wrong. I will never go back there again. They basically forced me to eat something I never even ordered. If you want Mexican food then go to El Ranchero. So much better and friendly. Casa Bravas chips taste like the Tostitos chips you get at the grocery store. While they are good I expect better chips than Tostitos at a Mexican restaurant.

They all are inattentive.Last time a server dropped my fork on my silk clothes during clearing dishes. He gave me a dishtowel and then disappeared. They didnt do anything. My silk clothes is expensive and is ruined because of that stain.Today a server dropped the very hot fork on a iron plate on my thigh when he brought out food. My skin was burned. But he disappeared without apology and other server apologized without all his heart. Moreover I am pregnant but they didnt care a bean.I and my husband were totally dumbfounded. They didnt do anything for my burned skin. They all were blatant and looked like "So what?" We are so disappointed by their attitudes.

This is a great place to grab a tasty, quick meal on a school night. The menu is large, so there is something for everyone (our vegetarian friends love this place too!) The service is satisfactory, the food is good, and the turn around is pretty quick. Plus, because the portions are HUGE, you can easily share an entree or take some home for the next day, making that $7 to $9 per entree a great value. All in all, you cant go wrong here.

This was one of my least favorite places to eat in Bloomington. Ordered fajitas with shrimp and cheese, and the smell of burning plastic overwhelmed the smell of the food. Flies were hovering an landed on my food several times. Only got to enjoy the appetizer and chips and the great service of my server. The manager kept trying to tell me how the smell of burning plastic was normal for the order I got (22.50$) which was outrageous.

Delivery? Skip it. These guys are using Mr. Delivery and havent yet figured out how to do it effectively. 2 orders now that were incorrect and took forever. Im 4 blocks away from Casa Brava at work right now and it took over an hour for my food to get here - it was incorrect to the point I couldnt eat it, missing items, and cold. Worse of all, there was no silverware in my bag so I couldnt even eat what was sent.

Once or twice a week me and my girl go to casa brava and we share an order of nachos casa brava. It costs 8.55 after tax and is ready in a couple minutes, it is huge with beef, chicken, beans, lettuce, sour creme, and of course cheese. For ten bucks I can feed both of us in a nice restaurant, thats hard to beat! We are usually in and out in about 30 minutes which is great service for a busy restaurant.

Been here 4 times, first two times the food was good. The third time my daughters chicken nuggets were burnt, really, really bad - I couldnt believe they even bothered bringing them to the table. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back a 4th time. I ordered the taco salad and it looked like a taco bowl that they just filled with fryer grease.

Table was sticky and sloped really bad. Food was poorly prepared as the hot food was actually room temperature and the lettuce and guacamole were warm. Spoke to waiter and I do not believe he understood the complaint as nothing was done. Took what we could home to the dog. Will not return to this location.

The good: restaurant is adequately clean. The bad: my girl friend received a Chimichanga Casa Brava that was roughly the size of a Twinkie. I got a Burrito Loco that was unseasoned, and when I cut it open the lettuce on the plate was floating in the undrained tomato juice. We wont be going back.
