Flight is definitely going on my top 5 fav places to eat. We have eaten at many nice restaurants including Gordon Ramseys Steak House in Vegas among many others and Flight can stand its own ground. From the moment we walked through the door the atmosphere was warm, cozy and inviting. The staff seated us almost immediately and our waiter Kendell went above and beyond explaining to us the meaning behind the name Flight and giving us our many options. Kendall was also very personable while remaining professional. Our food came out in a timely manner and our glasses never went empty. The staff were personable without being intrusive and to think this is all before we even get to the taste and presentation of the food. I could write a book review on our experience at Flight. Our food was cooked perfectly as we had ordered. The portions were fair in comparison to price and value. Did I mention the food was excellent? With food this good we could not leave without having dessert! My tummy giggled after the very first bite and then my face followed suit! If you are looking for a Vegas style place to eat in the city of Memphis Tennessee - you MUST visit Flight! We will be back and we will be sure to ask for Kendall as our server! On the way out Management and several staff said goodbye while complimenting us and assuring we enjoyed our meal. Holding the door as if saying see you later to good friends after a family dinner our night at Flight had landed! Id give this place 10 stars if I could!

Extraordinario lugar. La calidad de los platillos y las sugerencias del maridaje de los vinos excelente. El concepto es platos pequeños que te sugieren paquetes de 3 de ellos con una sugerencia del sommelier de 3 vinos para acompañarlos... sensacional!!! También puedes pedirlos individualmente y/o armar tu propio 3 pack. Con los postres pasa lo mismo. La experiencia de probar 3 platillos + 3 vinos diferentes lo disfruté sobre manera. El servicio es muy bueno, el lugar agradable en pleno centro de Memphis. La calidad/precio justo para el tipo de restaurante, lo pagas con gusto. Se los recomiendo mucho. Volveré sin duda en mi próxima visita.

I had a "Treat Yo Self" night here at Flight. I live and work in Downtown and have passed this place nearly every day for over a year, wondering about what its like inside and how the food is. Well, I am happy to announce that I have finally came here. I got the Charcuterie Plate as an appetizer and it was exquisite. From the sausages, to the fine cheeses, and the delicious spreads of REAL mustard and horseradish is was such a great plate. For entrees I chose the "Butcher" but instead of veal I got the elk (mostly because Ive never had elk) and it was simply awesome. Every meat was tender and fell apart like butter in my mouth. The croquette was one of the best Ive ever had and the white truffle macaroni was so good, I felt like I was in heaven. I had the Wonders of the World wine flight as well, even though Im not really a wine drinker, and my goodness it was delicious. Parker, my waitress, and Chris, who I believe to be the trainer and head server, were amazing. Made my experience fantastic and I am so happy that I decided to come here. Thank you, Flight, Parker, and Chris for an exceptional experience.

Great experience, staff very friendly, attentive, and abundant. The concept is good, and we enjoyed the variety of tastes. Food was well prepared and very tasty! Dessert was fantastic also. We were unfamiliar with the concept, so for those who dont know how it works. .. you can order prepared trio plates (flights) or mix and match. (Wines, soups, salads, entrees, et cetera.) They use three as a flight. I ordered a shrimp and Grits, bison ribeye, and veal scallopini. All of the aforementioned were delicious. I also tried the spare ribs, duck, beef wellington, halibut, lamb, and elk from the familys plates, all of them were par excellent. My nephew thought some of the meats were too sweet, so if you are a no dessert person like him, you may want to ask for the best choice for less sweet meat. We were a family of four and our meal with tip was $200. We had water to drink, and ordered entrees and a flight of dessert. So if you order alcohol, expect all to rise in cost accordingly. Overall, a great dining experience. We will do it again in the future on another special occasion.

Please dont eat here. During the Sweet 16 Basketball Tournament, when escorting the UCLA Basketball Team, officers had a not so nice experience at this restaurant (Flight Restaurant on Main St. Memphis, Tn) by restaurant staff and management. Many officers eat at this restaurant with their families throughout the year. Until a formal public apology is issued by the owner, we are asking all Memphis Police Association Members, any other city union members, family and friends of the MPA not to patronize this establishment. There has been an attempt to sweep this under the rug and if they want us to tell the story to the public, we will. At this point we are asking no officer or family member to tell any details of the incident on this post. Forcing officers to go back there to eat for a photo opportunity did not fix the problem or the damaged inflicted. We will give them the opportunity to rectify the problem so we can move forward and deal with other issues. We are sure it was a misunderstanding.

My wife and I ate here April 3, 2015 and it was also our first experience eating at flight. We had heard great things about it so we decided to see what all the hype was about. Let me just say..WOW. This is the BEST food in Memphis and the customer service is AMAZING! We had the pleasure of having Chelsea as our server who was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and educating us as first timers here. We picked 3 different appetizers, entrees, and desserts (flight deal) and it is the way to go!!! Absolutely love how you can pick any 3 and try it all! Such an awesome idea! She had great suggestions for us and even Brett, the gentleman who intitially greeted us with water had some awesome recommendations for dessert since we are both from the South. The customer service here is definitely something special here and not to be overlooked. My wife and definitely plan on making many more trips to this fine place just because of that!!! If you are ever in Memphis, you HAVE to eat here!

Weve been here twice and had excellent experiences both times. Our servers, most recently Adam T, have been attentive and happy to offer suggestions or explain the way the menu works. Both times, we have opted to order one entree flight per person, a dessert flight and at least a couple of drink flights. We then put everything in the middle of the table and have everyone try everything then pick some favorites to finish. Everything we have had to eat or drink has been excellent. Their chef puts together great dishes that work well solo or within a flight, and their owner (whom weve been told chooses the wine) has excellent taste in wine. The complimentary valet and coat check make the visit easy and comfortable too. One tip: if youre going to be there when its cold outside, see if you can sit upstairs. Our recent table downstairs near the window was a bit drafty, and our food got cold while we were savoring each bite.
