Let me start out by saying that the food is good. EXCEPT FOR THE FRIES. THE FRIES ARE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. This review has nothing to do with the food. I have been in there multiple times and the service is mediocre at best. When you walk in you are sure to get a "Hi" but dont expect much else for about 5 minutes as the waitress walk by you a countless number of times as if you had a full beer in front of you. I am sure they all know their feet like the back of there hand considering they are walking around staring down and not looking if you need help. I stood at the bar (STOOD) to make sure they could see me and see that I needed something and yet that didnt work. It wasnt until I made a comment that someone came over and helped. I dont think that I will be going back there to be ignored like I have the last 2 times that I have been there. It is a shame too because they have a great draft beer selection and the beer garden looks like it is going to be nice as well. But then again I would rather go to a place with "OK" food and a "OK" beer selection and get great service.

This place s the best the area has to offer, huge menu selection with delecious food, Ive eaten there many times and never been disapointed with anything ive ordered and theres almost always something on special. The wait staff and bartenders are amazing, and friendly, and the management is as well. Theyre are always makibg improvements and changes to enhance your experience at the Pump House , weather its a new stage, lighting or live entertainment they continue to amaze me, and they treat their employees like family which says a lot about who they are. I cant say you will find a better place to visit in the Wood River, Edwardsville area and honestly although smaller than Altons Fast Eddies, Pump House even tops them specially when it comes to a family friendly environment.

Ive been going there off and on for several years now. The place seems to get better all the time. Its not your everyday run if the mill bar food type place. The cooks Steve and Mary do an outstanding job. Gary runs & manages the place very efficiently. The waitresses seem to have a good blend of sassyness and professionalism that make for a comfortable dining experience. Ive been on a personal search for the perfect Ruben Sandwich. A search that has taken me to all points in this country and abroad. I believe I may have found it right here in Wood River at the Pump House. Damn it Dave.

This is a local bar & grill and serves that purpose with excellence. I came in about 1:30 p.m. for lunch and sat at the bar. I was greeted immediately and got a draft beer from their large selection. I chose the Pulled Pork Sandwich and onion rings as my side. The food was fast, hot and very good. Not the best bbq Ive ever had but it was very good considering they dont advertise themselves as a bbq place. There were plenty of servers/bartenders and they all treated me like their guest. Ill definitely be back.

This place has evolved a lot in recent years and I have been going here on and off for the past few years. I normally have a great time; we are there for the food more than the bar part and it is always good, fast, and delivered with a smile. I had an issue once and went to Facebook with it and the manager personally reached out to me and took care of us. They really care.

This is a fantastic place to eat and have a cold one. Staff is very friendly, food is great! The Dirty Rum Wings are one of my favorites, but there are many good items on the menu, Burgers, Steak, Wings......you cant go wrong. I live in the suberb right behind the Pump House, so of course we tryed it out. Let me tell you, my girlfriend and I love it. The food is amazing. The beer is cold. And the service is great. Our waitress (Becca) was flawless with her perfect service. Not to mention all the tvs so you can catch the game. Keep it up, we love it. -Chase and Aurora

We went there for lunch on a Wednesday. The place was lively and quite busy. The food was good but not out of the ordinary. I took the Batter Dipped Cod Sandwich. It was suppose to come with tartar sauce, but it was missing. I asked the server for it, but it never came. We waited at least 30 minutes for our food.

We had a great experience at the Pump House Bar & Grill! The ribeye was amazing and probably the best I have ever eaten at a restaurant. My wife had the pulled pork nachos which were also fantastic. Our server was very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone! We will definitely be back!

Dont care for new steak sandwich. Should be a piece of steak in a bun, not cut up strips. Sly way of making a cheap cut of meat acceptable. Also, if swiss is part of sandwich , please use the cheese and not some sauce. Bartenders continue to favor their friends over other customers.

The place is great! Ive tried all kinds of items off of the menu and have yet to have anything bad! Friendly service and a nice place! Just renovated the whole place and it looks great! Prices arent bad either! TVs everywhere and room to move around. Two thumbs up from this guy!!

Im hardly ever in Wood River but we drove by and decided to stop here for dinner. Apparently on Wednesday night 5-9pm they have $2.50 pump burgers! That was a pleasant surprise, and for $2.50 it was a GOOOOOD burger. The waitress was delightful, too!

Food is great and the atmosphere is modern yet friendly. Its definitely a great local pub. My only complaint is that they dont make the Pump House Bagel anymore. If you had the privilege of trying it, youd order nothing else. #BringBackTheBagel

Their bartenders are super friendly and very attentive! The food has been good every time we have gone there. They have a back bar area that can be reserved for parties, too. This place has upgraded to a very nice bar/eatery.

I have only visited for lunch on the weekends and the staff is always great. The menu prices are excellent for what you get. The menu offers quite the selection of items and everything is great. Never had a bad experience.
