I went to Soho for my birthday dinner...what a mistake! It was truly a terrible experience. The service was the worst I have ever had, and that is really saying something. The waiter was rude and inattentive. He asked me if I wanted sugar for my tea, which I did; however, he did not bring it. By the time he decided to come back to the table so I could ask for it again, my tea was cold. He brought the soup and salad before we had finished our appetizer and the entrees before the soup and salad were done, and in all that time he never cleared a single dish on our small 2-top table. When there was no place to put my large main course plate, he handed it to me. Seeing me struggle, he very helpfully told me to move another plate out of the way. It was insane! But honestly, even if the service had been great I would not be back. The food was bland and boring. I did not try the sushi so I cant speak for that but nothing that I ate (between appetizers, soup, salad, my entree, and my dates entree) could be described as anything but so-so. I also found the loud noises coming from the tepanyaki room very irritating. My only positive comment is that it was very pretty on the inside. If I could give this place zero stars I would.

Wont go back. Arrived at 12p, first guests of the day. Finally was shown to a table at 1225 (looks like we were waiting on area to get cleaned/vacuumed from night before). 20 others were seated before us, since we chose to have food cooked in front of us. Waitress showed up took drink/food orders...at that same time, another set of folks showed up and the waitress immediately brought water and got drink orders. After waiting until 1:10, our chef finally came out to cook. His uniform looked as if he hadnt cleaned it in a week or he worked a butcher shop prior to showing up. Food was good! After halfway thru our meal, I went to the hostess for refills on our drinks, since our waitress had not checked in. After finishing our meals, we helped ourselves to the to go containers that were visible and packed up our food. The waitress showed up with our bill and seemed surprised our food was packed up. We left at 145. If you want good food and feel like you actually received great service for the price, Hana Yori should be your choice. The couple sitting next to us stated the same thing.

To start the evening off we had reservations for 6:00pm and did not get seated until 6:30pm.The waiter was awful, he only came back to the table once. I ended up drinking my husbands water due to I had nothing else to drink. The table had a ring of grease that extended 4-5 inches from grill where they had previously cooked and did not wipe down. The chef was quite boring and did not cook the food properly. My husband asked for a well done steak and in the middle it was definitely pink, the lobster was so chewy it was hard to break down to swallow. The vegetables were hard and not cooked all the way. A gal at the other end of the table and myself asked for egg yolk sauce and the chef through some on the grill flattened it out and then served it without even turning it over to get the other side warm. Then to top it all off when I receive the bill there is an 18% gratuity charge added onto my bill, for a party of two mind you. Poor service, undercooked food and no show from chef. Very disappointed especially for the money spent will think twice about going back to this restaurant.

I have been to Soho a few times. The food is very good. The service was alright, not the best, but not terrible. This could be due to the fact that it is still relatively new, and as they say, "good help is hard to find". The atmosphere is quite nice. Kind of busy on the weekends, but enjoyable during the week. It has a nice layout the way it divides the restaurant into several distinct areas. They also have a nice bar that is seperated from the main dining area with an extensive list of beers and other beverages. One of the drawbacks of the place is that if the main dining area is anywhere near busy, you are practictly sitting elbow to elbow with strangers. Other than these couple of negatives, the positives shine through. The place is very clean, not too loud, invitingly lit, good food, and in comparison to other sushi places, not badly priced.

I liked the show and how they cooked the food in front of you but there really wasnt much understanding between the chef and customers....there a are things I cannot eat so I was kinda scared to eat it without knowing what sort of oil and sauces I was being served and they really werent open to explaining what they used... it was a great experience but unless you know a lot about japeneae cuisine I suggest you look up the menu online or call ahead and make sure that you arent allergic to the oils or anything...but other than that it was great! Had fun! The waitress we had was great the hostess was a little touchy had an attitude with us when we miss counted the number in our group but other than that awesome! I would recommend everyone try it at least once:)

The service was no where as bad as I thought from previous reviews. When we arrived there were signs about hiring new hostesses so that was a good thing to me. We didnt have reservations and were sat in the hibachi grill area in less than 10 minutes. Waitress was very attentive and happy. As soon as I finished my drink she asked me is I wanted another. The soup and salad were so good. Our grill guy was funny and everyone enjoyed him. Even my kids ate all the food and their diet consists of pizza and nuggets due to their picky taste buds. I will definitely be back. I didnt give 5 stars as the wait for the first round of food took a bit longer than I hoped, but worth the wait.

We were in this restraunt last week before the dining hour rush and never will be back.First we were seated and waited 10 minutes for our waitress to bring us dirty water glasses. We ordered and then waited another 20 minutes for the chef to start after he was done we got our rainbow roll all at the same time.Wich he forgot to cook our sons shrimp. After finally waiting another 15 minutes to get our check.Today My Wife saw our bank statement and the waitress or somebody added another 15 dollars to the tip.I Will never suggest this place to anyone.

That had to be the WORST eating out experience I have ever had. First they spilt Tea down my back and into my purse. BTW not even a sorry for the girl that did it. 2nd took her forever to take our order. 3rd order Sushi rolls and they come AFTER our food. 4th waitress didnt check our drink refills 5th then after everyone but ONE table is gone we still had to get our own to go box and our ticket. 6th never offered nothing off for having Tea pour down my back. Needless to say NO TIP for her.
