I went to Sarku Japan at the mall because it had food that looked more unprocessed than the fast food places surrounding it. The menu contained mainly 5 types of Teriyaki: - Chicken Teriyaki - Beef Teriyaki - Shrimp Teriyaki - Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki - Beef and Shrimp Teriyaki Everything came with vegetables and steamed rice, and was less than $8. I ordered the Beef Teriyaki. All the employees were Japanese and none could speak English except the cashier (who spoke it poorly), which was a good sign of authentic food from real Japanese people. I paid $7.50, including tax. I got a plate with a large, filling amount of rice (more than 2 1/2 cups). Then the next person in the "assembly line" put lots of steaming fresh veggies, like broccoli, onions, and carrots, on top of the rice. She then passed my plate to an Japanese man with a grill. Right in front of me, he threw a bunch of uncooked ground beef onto the grill, and proceeded to cook it as I watched. It was very authentic and homemade. After 2-3 minutes of cooking, he put the hot, steamy beef fresh off the grill onto my plate. He then passed it on to the last Japanese woman, who poured Teriyaki sauce on the whole meal and gave me my food. It was delicious and tasted like a feast my mom would make. Everything was natural, unprocessed, and mouthwatering. I would highly recommend Sarku Japan at the maul. Dont spend $9 at the expensive fast food Chick-fil-A next to it or $3 at the cheap Taco Bell next to Chick-fil-A. Instead, get fresh food for a reasonable price at Sarku Japan. Easily 5 stars and I would go back again for sure. Best place at the West Town Mall food court.

I was just at the mall food court and noticed a cook wearing a tank top, at times raising his arm with his arm pits over the food being prepared...GROSS!! Shame on them, they should know better. Needless to say I did not eat at Sarku.

This is one of the few places we eat in the mall. Their chicken teriyaki is great. Ive been going here for years.
