Terrible service. We had a group of 6 go for lunch and it was quite possibly the worst service Ive ever received. Took about 15 minutes to get a server to take our drink orders, even though we were the only table inside and at least 4 different servers walked past our table during that time and the servers were even laughing and cutting up at the register. We finally get our food and 3 orders of fries were cold. Not even luke warm. Cold. We asked for more fries and they brought us back cold fries! To add to that they completely forgot one of our orders, our server spilled a tea refill on the table and didnt even acknowledge it, let alone clean it up. A chef was watching golf on TV right in front of us while we were sending food back. Like I stated above: quite possibly the worst service Ive ever experienced. Do not allow the convenience of the location to suck you in. Avoid this place at all costs!

I was on Hilton Head Island last week, staying in Sea Pines as always and due to the reconstruction of the Beach Club we spent a lot of time in Harbour Town. I had never been to the Quarterdeck before and was very pleased with my experience! The first time we went was for sunset cocktails and appetizers. The ambiance was delightful and very nautical. The drinks and food were delicious! The service was superb, we sat outside at the patio bar and were completely taken care of by a very pleasant, welcoming bartender named Kristen. We enjoyed the evening, food, service and the stroll back around the harbour at night with everything all lit up so much we went back the next day for lunch! I would recommend The Quarter Deck to anyone staying in Sea Pines but is also worth the drive if youre outside the gates!

Nice location for dinner with sweeping views of the harbor. We chose this location because they took reservations which is rare for this area and checked for allergies at the reservation. Service was excellent and our waitress was extremely accommodating. The Frozen Georgia Peach drink is fantastic. Sides can be ordered as appetizers making them incredibly cheap at $5 each. Gluten free options are noted on the menu which is extremely helpful and they have GF buns. Indoor and outdoor seating as well as a full bar. I asked that the chef just make me something GF and it was a great decision as I had a spinach, mango, asparagus salad with grilled lobster. Absolutely fantastic decision. Overall, would recommend to anyone. Great choice for dinner.

Attempted to dine at the Quarterdeck on a Saturday night during Fourth of July week. This chef obviously doesnt know how to prepare fish "blackened". Our experience was similar to other reviews, fish was basically burnt to a crisp. We also ordered crab cakes with a substitute for fries instead of vegetables and of course the food comes out wrong. This place cant get the little things right, which is unacceptable given the price and location. Additionally, we had to wait over an hour for our food which became ridiculous, especially since we arrived around 8:30pm and it wasnt that busy, we were seated immediately with no wait. Bottom line, I would not return to this place, not if you want a high quality meal and service.

Overall the service was very good, the food was good, but a bit pricey for the quality and serving sizes. Read other reviews about the terrible service and I believe this would directly depend on how busy the restaurant is. In our case we came for an early dinner and in our dining area only had two other couples there. If it was busy Id imagine the service would suffer as the help didnt seem as quick on their feet. It also did seem to take longer to get our food in spite of it not being a busy time. Id recommend checking out other places on the island reading reviews before making reservations. The nicest part of this experience would be the views of the harbor.

We visited Quarterdeck years ago and had memories of a beautiful dining room with a view of the harbor and sunset. As it turned out, we visited on the first night of dinner service for the season, and ended up in a small room in the back. It would have had a water view but not like the view from upstairs. Food was good, and after our waitress explained how they were just getting geared up for the season, it was obvious that another visit later in the season would be warranted in order to experience their best. As it turns out we have plans to be back in May and will give it another try!

We sat downstairs out on their porch and had wonderful service from Sam the bartender. We arrived a little early for lunch around 11:30 and were able to get a table right at the edge with a wonderful water view. Sam was friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and never failed to fill our drinks or check back on us to see how everything was. I really enjoyed their grilled chicken sandwich, my wifes fish sandwich was excellent, and our daughters enjoyed their burgers. We have tried many other restaurants on HHI and keep returning to Quarterdeck (and UpperDeck upstairs) every year.

I very much liked the food. I had seared tilefish with rice pilaf and mixed veggies. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors complimented each other. We happened to sit outside on a very windy and rainy day so it was a bit of a battle to eat, but of course no one has control of the weather. It would have been nice if our waiter offered to help move us perhaps once the wind got rough though. The waiter did everything he needed to but was very informal and seemed very laid back about serving us. He did give us the wrong receipt but was quick to correct the mistake.

Very long wait and employees without integrity. I ordered a blackened snapper and was brought a deep fried flavorless one. When I questioned this the manager insisted that it was blackened as if I couldnt tell the difference. Then the waitstaff insisted that it was also blackened. Terrible case of gaslighting. Made me feel stupid when they kept lying. Do not recommend going there. The service was also very slow and now I feel terrible after eating the fried fish.

My fiancée and I had dinner on a Thursday evening. The wait was over an hour. Once we were seated we ordered the oysters and for 2.50/oyster, there were a couple on the plate of six that were as small as a quarter. Our server was rude, did not check on us even though the plates were empty. We got our check and left for a better dinner elsewhere. Very disappointing, and like others said, the best part of this experience was the music and the view.

Service was professional and competent, if lacking in friendliness and personality. Crab dip was good, steak salad was decent, flounder sandwich was really good. Kids grilled cheese was perfectly golden, french fries were cheap cheap frozen and terrible. Prices are reasonable for the waterfront location. Overall I would eat there again, but it is not a memorable place and I will forget the name of it tomorrow.
