The one of 3 good things, we were almost immediately seated in the outdoor area, kudos for that, arrived at 7:40. Secondly the portabella mushroom app was amazing! Third, our server was pretty nice, once he finally arrived. Now for the bad, after being seated, 3 other tables seated after its were immediately handled, we waited over 30 minutes for our drink orders to be taken. One of the entrees, arriving at 8:35, was the wrong item, the expo girl was as rude as she could be, ordering us around, telling us to move things out of her way, "if we wanted to eat!" When we discovered that one guest had received the wrong item, she argued and said it was the actual item ordered, proceeded to argue more until I finally told her to remove it and send our server over, to which she snatched it out of the guests hand and rolled her eyes, muttering something under her breath. We waited another 25 minutes until the item was brought out. Im not sure why 2 small pizzas, 2 calzones, and 2 salads took almost 2 1/2 hours, and it really wasnt busy, there were 9 tables empty in the outdoor area when our food arrived. The manager came to the table and comped the calzones that was wrong, but with no apologies as to the other issues that were clearly bring over looked. Im a big fan of mellow mushroom and never had these issues at any of the 7 Ive frequented. Maybe they need more staff to accommodate the guests, they certainly charge enough to afford it. 2 small calzones, 2 small pizzas and 2 salads, 1 appetizer, with iced tea and cokes was $115.00, after he removed the wrong calzone..... And for that much money, I shouldnt have to wait an eternity, not should I have to deal with a rude expo person.

Sat down to be seated, had plenty of waiters and waitresses walk by, none greeted us to take our order. Waited 15 minutes and no waiter came to our table. Watched one of the employees walk by our table to go wash a door window, one employee sweep up at a table nearby and what looked like the manager walk by our table twice. We even called the location to try and place an order to go but we were put on hold for minutes finally giving up and leaving altogether. When a restaurant does this well when it was not at peak capacity, I can only imagine how poor the service is when the restaurant is full. Poor customer service appears to be the specialty here, not the food, I would suggest the management train the staff on customer awareness, even if waiting on customers is not your job, alerting a staff member who is. I would suggest those considering eating at this location that it might not be worth your time. I dont appear to be the only one who has had poor customer service given the recent reviews posted. Managements apologies to poor reviews left appear just to be that, no corrective matters appear to be taken.

This place does not deserve to bear the Mellow Mushroom name. We waited close to an hour for our food. Our waitress never gave any updates or explanation of the delay. She did not check in a single time before the food arrived. She was too busy flirting with another employee and customer at the bar to notice that our food was ready (you can see the place they hold foods for the staff to bring out) and waiting to be delivered to our table. When it finally was delivered by another employee, we had no utensils. Instead of going to get our utensils she proceeded to pick up a check from a different table. She asked a different employee to get our silverware. By the time we had both food and utensils the food was lukewarm. We then lost another 20min of our lives waiting for the check. This place has been a traditional stop for us on our annual vacation, this place is off the list next year.

We waited for a table for 30 minutes only to find that half the restaurant was empty. The waitress asked put drink order before we had a chance to even glance at the menu. They ran out of silverware but had brought us salads, so we had to wait 10 minutes for clean silverware. We then had to wait another 45 minutes for put pizza. Manager came to our table with no explanation as to why the empty restaurant took an hour to deliver our pizza. Our pizza also came out barely warm as if it had been sitting in the back. After all of this the waitress came out having messed up the check. I have generally had good experiences at mellow mushroom but will not be going back. Do not waste your time here as there are many better options in hilton head.

We had three people who ate gluten free and we ordered the gluten free crust which was awesome!! We rarely eat pizza because it normally doesnt taste too great but this, I would fly back for once a month....lol Despite the reviews on service I think our experience was ok. The bartender was funny. They made a mistake on my mothers order so they gave it to her free of charge, VERY NICE. It was very loud and cold with all the fans on. WE could barely hear each other. I dont like that but food was wonderful! Prices were so so. We bought a 14 inch pizza gluten free because thats all they offered so we had to get two and one pizza was 22.00. I think a little on the high side but well worth it.

We went with a party of six with an age range from 15 to 60. Everyone enjoyed the evening. Our server/waiter/attendant was Dave. You should ask for him if you want a warm, enjoyable, and entertaining experience. He told us what to avoid, guided us on the menu, and in many ways entertained us during our meal. Was it the best pizza place we have ever been to? - well, everyone at our table had a preference from NJ to CA. However, we all agreed that this was our best dining experience on Hilton Head. Build your pizza your way, you wont complain about the food. Get Dave and you wont complain about the service. Bring family, bring friends, and have fun.

The 3 stars are for food alone. The pizza was excellent. Unfortunately, the place is open until 12am, and when we walked in at 10:30 pm, our waiter, Roger, rolled his eyes at us and told us theyd only serve pizza from the menu. That basically set the precedent for the service. From drinks and pizzas slammed down on the table, we never heard from him again until he was ready to give us the check. No parmasan was on the table, so we had to ask someone at the bar for some. Im sorry if Roger was having a rough night, but my family was nothing but polite to him, even after we were very obviously not welcome.

Food was good. However, service was horrible. The girl hosting was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes when I asked for a seating for seven and when I asked to sit outside she literally threw the chairs in with the two tables she placed in the sun. We couldnt see each other so we went inside. Second time we dealt with the annoyed hostess. The waitress saw us sit and asked as we are sitting what we wanted to drink. Not even giving us time to sit. Food took a while but will admit was good. So obviously problem is the front of the house. And after reading the reviews nothing is being done.
