It was lunch, husband got buffet- very thin selection for pizza. I got a make my own pizza that the manager actually brought to me completely burnt. I mean to say that it was so done that when I knocked on the crust it sounded like I was knocking on the table! The manager tried to blow it off until I told him the pizza was burnt and he acted like he had just noticed it right then. Salads came out wrong and silverware was nasty dirty with grease fingerprints on them. The stars I did give was for the beer selection, which is pretty awesome. Its too bad the cooks, service, and management dont measure up to the amazing beer selection. Id recommend the place for beer tastings, but stop off at Wolfmans before you go.

I really loved this place. Great entertainment, beer selection and staff. I had their veggie pizza and later that night, I got SO sick (The kind where youre laying on the floor sweating until you can throw up again...Not pretty.) When I told my friend about how I got sick after I went there, he said that he and his girlfriend got food poisoning from the pizza too! At first, I wasnt for sure that it was from the pizza but since my friends had the exact same experience a few weeks prior and it was the only thing I had that night, it only makes since. Not sure what is going on with the pizza ingredients, sanitation, etc??? BE CAREFUL IF YOU CHOOSE TO CONSUME SOMETHING HERE.

Went there for the first time with my wife and a friend (12/05/08). One of the worst pizzas I have ever had - very bland and overall aweful. We all ranked it out of 10 and gave it a 3. Save your money and go to Portofinos, Luisas, Donatos, or even Dominos (which is sort of what it tastes like but much more expensive). That will be the last trip there any of us make. There are so many pizza places in Charlotte that put this place to shame. Oh, I almost forgot - the dough is like wheat bread.

Great food with so much more than just pizza. The owner and staff are always so friendly and attentive. Great beer selection with lots of taps and a good variety. As a dark beer drinker they almost always have something I like. It can be pretty loud but its perfect for all the families. A great local spot with a nice little covered patio.

I brought my team here after a day of training, and everyone had a great time. Wings are great (they make their own sauces in-house), and the pizza options are plentiful and crowd-pleasers. You can always count on a great draft beer list, featuring primarily local/state beer. Their gluten-free crust was also a big hit!

Great Beer! Theres alot to like about Pizza Peel. The lunch special is a buffet of pizza, drink, and a salad. The toppings and crust are both flavorful, and their salads are surprisingly great too. Im all for Dominoes or Papa Johns as much as the next guy, but Pizza Peel is where Id go for a great pie.

You know a pizza is really good when my family and I order a large with all intentions of having some to take home for lunch the next day but leaving with no left overs yes its that good we can not help but eat it all plus everyone here is also super nice its a great little local place love it!

We have been a few times, they have a very good beer selection and the food is good. Last time they were very busy and I assume understaffed too and they brought us a free appetizer which was good. staff seems knowledgeable about beer and its smoke free!!

We had Pizza Peel delivered at the Monkey Joes on Park & Woodlawn for a baby shower. The pizza was edible at best. Ive been more impressed with frozen pizza. The crust was SO thin, with a little slather of sauce and a handful of cheese. Never again.

I work right across the street at Sonic Automotive so I eat here often. I truly enjoy their incredible weekly soups, delicious shrimp tacos and the amazing chocolate cake. I even take dinner home for my family as a treat from time to time.

In the past I have ordered pizza and wings, they are great. Stay away from fish tacos, pasta dishes, etc... Tonight the food was just OK at best because we strayed from the regular items. They are good at pizza and wings.

Ive had 3 great (dining) experiences at The Pizza Peel. Ordered once straight off the menu and twice had custom pies built. Extraordinary dough, pleasant environment, great beer selection and service with a smile.

Great people work here, who truly enjoy making your visit a good time. Been there for great pizza or just a couple drafts. Fun decor - reminds me of my favorite "Locals Place" when I lived in Lake Tahoe.
