Really great ramen! However, the presentation of the food leaves a lot to be desired. Presentation doesnt even come close to what they advertise in the pictures around the restaurant. The taste of the ramen is really good. Its well-balanced. The drink fountain should be placed somewhere else, since its inconveniently placed next to the ordering line at the moment. It would be nice to have more condiments and spices at the table, such as hot sauce. The spicy pork, for example, is to spicy. It would be nice to control the level of spiciness ourselves. I will still keep coming back. Overall its good ramen.

This isnt your college ramen. The days of the fried-dried noodle with the MSG-packed powder are gone. Now that youve graduated, step up to Menkoi, where the ramen is made with love and by professional hands. Its tucked away next to Sabrosos but really does pack a great tasty punch. For about $8, you can get some very good ramen -- in pork, chicken, beef, or vegetable. Only advice -- skip the egg. I prefer my egg to be boiled separately and put on top of the soup. This restaurant boils the egg in the broth. Some people love that though, but its not to my taste.

Great ramen! Excellent service and friendly staff. Only complaint is that it was warm when we stepped in...then we ate ramen. Air conditioning should be cranked up especially from April to September. Take tip money! It doesnt look like a tip place and you pay before you get your food. But the cashier waited on us, even gave refills. It was very unexpected but she was very pleasant! We definitely tipped, but only because we happened to have cash. Not sure if she wouldve been able to if it were busier.

Ate here a while back and just had an odd itch to read the reviews. People, if youre going to leave a poor review because of something that is out of the restaurants hands, just dont write that review. Some dude really left a 3 star review because there was a long line? Come on guy, you should be beaten about the neck and shoulders for that. Now that I got that off my chest, I definitely recommend this place. Ill take some sriracha with me next time though, not enough spice.

Excellent food and prices. I ordered the Chicken Ramen #8 and enjoyed the big portion of noodles and flavorful both for only $7.50. Id like to see them expand the menu to include some seafood choices rather than just pork, chicken and beef. The layout of the small restaurant is awkward and seating is limited. The self serve fountain drink machine is situated inconveniently amongst the line of patrons placing their orders. Definitely worth a try if youre in the area.

Ive been here enough times to fill out the punch card for a free meal and then some. The food is tasty, the service is great, and the prices are cheap. If you want an ideal lunch destination then this is it. Ive had the tonkotsu ramen, shio ramen, shoyu ramen, spicy ramen, and Ive also had the beef curry. Each of these menu items are tasty, filling, and priced right around $8. I think this place gives you the best bang for your buck.

I dont know much about authentic Asian cuisine, but I can tell you that there are frequently people of Asian ethnicity here and they appear to enjoy the food as much as I do. Not a lot of variety, but if are going to a place called "Ramen House" I would hope that you are planning to eat ramen, of which do have several flavors. Been here several times. No complaints.

The ONLY ramen noodle place in this area. These noodles are the authentic real deal. If you have only ever had the instant kind before, I encourage you to come and try a bowl here. I enjoy the miso with pork, and I am never disappointed. Ever. If you like your food on the hot side of things, the spicy ramen is the real hero here. Definitely worth going to .

The soup is full of life and meat! doesnt get anymore authentic then the Ramen House. I have never finished a bowl of soup from here, but I always take the remainder home. The noodles have a fresh texture, the meat is full of spices, seaweed isnt over powering, does not have the taste of a microwave bowl. Give it a try. Cost is average around $8 a bowl.

Fantastic stuff in GVL. New to the area, this authentic Japanese comfort food place is a delight for foodies. The food is authentic and the owner is Japanese, and so the guests will get to experience a slice of Japan and not some knock-off Japanese style restaurant type food. I think this will be my new hang out for Japanese beer and terrific noodles.

I have been here multiple times and it is definitely a great spot for some cheap ramen. The ramen is of course not NYC good, however, for being in Greenville, it is cheap, fulfilling, and fast. Beats making the ramen yourself, especially if you go during off hours or live near this spot on Woodruff.

Im slowly becoming a regular to this little place. The woman that works the counter is incredibly friendly and the wait on your food is barely 5 minutes. The ramen is amazing. The Tonkotsu or Spicy ramen is definitely my favorite. I wish they would open up a few more of these.

Absolutely delicious! Full of flavor and incredibly filling. Ive been wanting to go to a ramen house for years and now there is finally one right here in Greenville. The prices are great everything in your bowl is fresh and authentic. Will be back at least once a week!

If you think this is good, you havent had real Japanese ramen. The soup was fake, probably from factory made powder, and that ruins everything. You can see why, it is cheaper than eating in Japan itself. The staff was very friendly and that makes it 3 stars.

Its ramen noodles, elevated. Great choices, huge portions and a variety of proteins and spiciness to choose from. The curry is good, the spicy ramen is good. Be prepared to have soup in your beard!

Menkoi Ramen House is the best place to eat! It would be my first choice out of the entire state. My favorites would be the Spicy Ramen and the Miso Ramen.
