Mekong is my favorite restaurant within 45 minutes of Greenville because of the savory delicious food, clean environment, helpful service, great price, and home-grown fresh exotic herbs. I make the 45-minute drive just to eat here about every month, or pick up take-out if I pass it. Even the night I brought 17 of my closest friends, the service was quick, and food was served hot. Favorite Apps: pork & shrimp summer rolls, savory glutinous rice. Salads: papaya, chicken & cabbage. Vermicelli: chilli garlic shrimp, lemongrass chicken. Rice: Sate Beef (ask for "less spicy"). Noodle Stir-Fry: Fresh Egg Noodle. I went there when they just opened, but 4 years later, its still probably my favorite restaurant in Greenville.

Wow! As other reviewers have said, the food is fresh and delicious, the restaurant is clean and pleasant, and the service is great. We had the dinner for two, which included appetizers (summer rolls and calamari), a cabbage/chicken salad, braised pork with vegetables, soup with your choice of meat, a main dish of grilled beef and vegetables, and fresh fruit for dessert. EVERYTHING was tasty and garden fresh, and it was more food than we could possibly eat at an unbelievable price. Cant say enough good things about this restaurant. It was our first visit but certainly wont be our last!

I frequent Vietnamese restaurants as much as possible. The food was good but a bit pricey by a couple of bucks. We had the broken rice and dinner for two. The dinner for two was definitely worth the $30. It came with three appetizers and two entrees. Enough for two. The caramelized fish and sweet and sour soup was delicious. The server was very polite and on hand. When we left, we drove around the building and saw that they grew various vegetables. I was impressed with their effort to keep things fresh. The only glaring problem I saw was their uncut grass. It made the place look abandon.

Best Vietnamese food in Greenville by a landslide. Fresh herbs grown in the back. Every dish Ive ever had there was delicious. Dont be spooked by the old Arbys building layout. The pho - amazing. The pork and rice dishes - fantastic. The banh mis - just plain tasty. And dont even get me started on the Vermicelli - my mouth is watering just typing this up! If you like Vietnamese food, theres simply no way you will disappointed with Mekong. Delicious, reasonably priced, and convenient location. What are you doing, get in your car and go already!

So delicious! Everything was very fresh and very reasonable. I ordered the shrimp spring roll, pork sandwich and the beef pho. The sandwich is made with a baguette that was light and airy with a great crunchy crust. The pho was served with crispy bean sprouts and fresh aromatic basil and sliced hot red peppers on the side. The soup itself was amazing. It was all way too much food and the bill came to $17. The building seems to be a repurposed fast food joint, and the atmosphere is pretty "down to business" so dont expect anything fancy!

Fabulous! Just did carryout today because I had children in the car. Got the duck soup and duck buns. The best ever! Word on the street is that this is the only place that makes real bone broth for their soup base. So since my sisters little girl just had her tonsils out, I had the perfect reason to rush over and get everyone some soup. I was amazed at the fresh "stuff" that came with it. The Duck Buns were unbelievably good. I cannot wait to get back there to actually enjoy an in-restaurant dining experience.

After seeing all the great reviews we decided to give it a go. But approaching the parking lot we almost changed our minds, and the same when we walked inside. Dont let the outside

My girlfriend and I were going to eat at a restaurant next door to yours but it was closed on Tuesdays - so we timidly entered your place instead - more for the experience than anything else because it sure didnt look like much from the outside (sorry). We certainly werent expecting much but WOW were we surprised! Its going to be our favorite place now. The FOOD and the service were spectacular (plus there were lots of people there so I guess everyone in Greenville already knows about you!)

I have never eaten Vietnamese food so I decided to go with something that sounded safe so I got the beef meatball soup. It was amazing. My companion got the Pork and Shrimp stir fry, and his only complaint was that it was light on shrimp. We discovered as we were leaving that they have a container garden out back where they grow their own herbs - no wonder everything tastes so good! I highly recommend Mekong as a great lunch place!

Website says they close at ten on Sundays. We walked in at 4:45. The owners son was not too happy as they close at 5 in which I understand the frustrations but to scream at his mom in the kitchen, "MOM THREE MORE PEOPLE JUST WALKED IN!! Why are these ppl walking in 15 mins before we close?" Please change your hours online. You didnt have to be so rude, made our dining experience uncomfortable and awkward. Very unprofessional...

Dont judge a book by its cover! I would have NEVER tried this place based on the exterior, but Im glad a friend recommended it. I LOVED their summer rolls and the pho. We also love their mango bubble tea. My sister tried a rice dish and it wasnt her favorite, but weve been there a few times and theyre always consistently yummy. Ooh, and in the summer they grow all their own herbs out back... extra fresh!

The beverages are the best The quality of fod could be better I ordered a soup that had pork feet in it but the menu never described having said item in the soup. I then ordered a beef and brisket soup on my next visit. The cilantro and jalpinos were starting to rot The meats in general have a funny taste, I think itd be safe just to order bubble tea here

This was my first time at a Vietnamese restaurant, but my wife is Korean and loves Vietnamese food. She said this is excellent Vietnamese food and she loved how clean the place was. The price is extremely cheap and our waiter was excellent. We both had Pho, she had the London Pho and I had the Meat Ball Pho. Great place and you cant beat the price!

I have never been to Vietnam but this is what I think the food would taste like. We have many viet restaurants in Atlanta and this would be able to compete for top 3 easily. The chef trained at Johnston and Whales and you can tell the difference in technique from other viet restaurants. Loved the fresh ingredients including the great herbs!

Best. Vietnamese. Food. Ever. Duck Buns to die for. Delicious fresh coconut juice. Avocado bubble tea. Pho and Vermicelli dishes were fresh and flavorful. Very clean restaurant. Friendly service. The chef came out and chatted with patrons and was very nice and genuine, eager to share his great food. Cant wait to go back!
