I was so disappointed. I had heard the place is good but my first impression, while we were being shown to our table by the owner (I assume), was that we were merely an annoyance as she talked on the phone the whole time and barely glanced at us. Then it was literally over 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged our existence (I checked in on Facebook when we sat down so I happen to know how much time passed). It was at least 30 minutes after we sat down before our food arrived. Our glasses were empty much of the time throughout the meal. The menu looked very promising as it is not the usual menu you find in almost every Chinese restaurant nowadays. If the service had been even half-way decent, I would be very interested to go back in the evening (although the non-lunch prices are a bit high). The quality of the food was acceptable and not noteworthy, neither poor nor good. Verdict: not recommended. Try the Great Wall instead which is within a few miles, over near Mauldin. Its been a while since I was there but it used to be quite good.

The absolute BEST Chinese/Asian food in the Greenville area. Ive eaten at Chin Chin more times than I can count (seriously), and have never had a bad meal. Although the service can be hit or miss (sometimes a bit slow during lunch), the food more than makes up for it. I was sorry to see that they no longer serve beer or wine, probably due to the cost of maintaining the license plus I never saw anyone else order alcohol. The service at dinner is really too fast which does not allow for a leisurely dinner. Take out is always very quick. My only other possible complaint is that the food is not nearly spicy enough when you specify extra, extra, extra spicy (they cant seem to make it spicy enough for me). But that wont be a problem for the vast majority of other diners. Chin Chin is HIGHLY recommended.

We ordered twice in one week while house sitting for a friend and we were very disappointed both times. I love sushi and eat it 2-3 times a week, and am not at all picky. Sushi is sushi to me. Both times my avocado in my sushi rolls were totally not ripe, and nearly crunchy!! Not at all pleasant to the pallet. My California roll didnt have cucumber in it, and when asked to leave the spicy mayo off my other roll, they simply didnt. Their dumplings taste like a mouthful of sesame oil and blue cheese dipped in a sweet sauce. Their Korean food and tempura shrimp were very tasty, however. Perhaps theyre just attempting to focus on too many cultures and losing quality of their food. Not impressed and do not recommend unless they downsize their menu.

since new management stepped in this past year, this place has gotten so much better, the food, the service. The food itself makes you come back and now they have their liquor license and the SOJU is great like it should be. Steve the new owner has made a special effort to give you great food taste from China, Korea and Japan. The Chefs are really good, I speak as a person that goes multiple times and I am so glad it is located near work and home. Orders sometimes can be custom made, (I myself ask for Spicy Chicken instead of Spicy Shrimp),made so dont be afraid to ask for something not on the menu. I cant believe the difference it makes to have someone really want to deliver a great tasting product.

We moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to Greenville 2 years ago. Weve tried countless Chinese restaurants in the Greenville area but were not satisfied with the quality or authenticity until we found Chin Chin. They do have a Chinese and Korean menu but you have to ask for it. Oddly we order more often from the Korean menu than the Chinese. Many restaurants do one better than the other but I have to say these chefs from NYs China town have mastered both. The owner is Chinese but he lived in Korea for many years. Delicious food , generous portions, fresh ingredients, and reasonable prices. We eat there twice a month at least!!!

This is one of the best restaurants in Greenville. every time I go I can try something new. there are authentic Korean and Chinese dishes on the menu here that you simply cant find anywhere else. not to mention the quality of the food is top notch, the price is good, the service is great and the staff is friendly. they even have those common americanized dishes that the other Chinese places have too. something for everyone! plus kim chee and pickled veggies with every order

This place is nasty. The taste of the food is terrible. They advertise one price on specials and then charge a different price. The only thing that tasted worse than the chicken was the fried rice. The odd thing about this place is that it looks nice. The atmosphere is fine and it seems like if someone else took charge of it then it could be a great place. The problem is they dont care about the quality of the food. It is very very gross.

i like Chin Chin, they have your general american-chinese food and then some quite original dishes and even korean food. everything appears fresh and the service is friendly. i have been to chin chins many times during the week and only once on the weekend. my weekend experience was a bit of a let down because the restaurant was very crowded and under staffed, but the food remained excellent. Thank you, i will be back :)

Excellent service from friendly staff. Comfortable decor. THE BEST Chinese and Korean food in the greater Greenville / Upstate area. The food is fresh! Very fresh! Cooked when you order it and not a minute sooner. You must try the Pad Thai, Kung Pao Chicken, General Tsus, Korean BBQ, and the spring rolls. Been eating here with my family for the past five years - no where else compares - FABULOUS!!!

Im glad I found this place. The General Tsos was fantastic, chicken was well breaded and big chunks of white meat. Fried rice was very good, egg rolls were hot, but pretty good compared to what Ive found in Greenville. Price was right and we were seated and served quickly by friendly staff. This will become lunch spot regular for me.

This is our favorite Chinese restaurant. While not as upscale as other restaurants, it offers a nice, quiet romantic environment. The food is awesome, I always get the excellent General Tsos chicken and crab rangoons. The prices are very fair and we always have leftovers to enjoy later. The service is usually very good, too.

The food was good, but the service was terrible. I went on my lunch hour from work. Despite the fact that the restaurant was mostly empy, I was still late getting back. We were mostly ignored and our drinks not refilled. No one apologized for how long everything took. We wont be back.

REAL Chinese food, not the greasy, fried food most Chinese restaurants in the Upstate have. The owner loves to create new dishes based on your preferences so tell him what you want. The homemade spicy mustard is out of this world, add some your freshly made egg drop soup!
