The food was really good and the service fantastic when they will serve you. The only qualms I had was that I went for a late lunch and they close in the middle of the day but leave their doors open for takes outs. They dont bother to put up a sign. So I stood in the lobby for 5 min with no service only to be turned away. Left a bad taste and ended up going to K-town for sushi down the road and the food was way better and they served me. Ive definitely switched but the food is good here too. Try the Apple sake but you can buy a whole bottle at the world market for what they are going to charge you.

Expertly and imaginatively prepared sushi, a recent example of which being my last order of salmon nigiri. It came interleaved with paper-thin slices of lemon, and when I asked the chef whether Irashiai had changed its standard preparation, he said, no, the lemon was just something he thought might work well. Improvisation! (And he was right, by the way. Ill be requesting the lemon from now on.) Generously portioned servings at Irashiai, too, something noticeable only to those of us who sometimes eat at sushi chain restaurants.

Very disappointed we used to go to Irashi all the time when it was on Pleasant Burg and finally came to try the new location. I was not impressed with the inside at all not the same atmosphere just looked kinda run down. We came in and were seated right away on a Friday around 8:30 sat for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged and then another couple was sat behind us. A waitress came straight over got there drink order and skipped us once again. We got up and left wont go back.

I purchased takeout from this restaurant and was terribly disappointed. While my order was prepared fast, and the flavor was ok, I paid over $10 for a mere two ounces of food. Seriously, my meal amounted to 1/4 of a chicken breast, a few two inch rice cakes, and some seasoning. I am not sure whether this is what you get when you dine in at this restaurant, but I dont think I want to risk more money to find out.

Favorite sushi in Greenville...hands-down. Why? Its the best tasting! Freshest ingredients and most interesting variety of options, without too many obnoxious deep fried choices. Edamame is always steaming hot and well-seasoned. Lemon roll, tuna squared, rainbow... mouth watering thinking of them. Oh and the picture menu is the BEST... every sushi place should do this as a best practice!

Best place to enjoy Sushi in Greenville! Staff is amazing, fun and very good at their job. Selection is incredible! We have been patrons for years and have a hard time going to another sushi place when Irashiai is so great. Highly recommend happy hour - appetizers that will rock your world. Having a private party there is also a great time. They do everything and do it really well.

Likely the best quality sushi place in town. Ive had many of their menu items, and never been disappointed except with their cooked sushi. Their sake is good as well. I go here occasionally to enjoy the taste, but often have to reel it in because of price. On reflection, this place should be $1-2 cheaper for what they offer. Its worth a trip at the very least.

The service is great and all the food that my family and I ordered was delicious. I had the Holy Moly roll and it was crunchy with great flavor. My family got the Godzilla and the Jumping Shrimp, and I think the Jumping Shrimp won in the flavor department, but the Holy Molly won in the texture department. Overall, a wonderful and tasty experience!

We have been coming here since 2010. Sushi rolls have gotten smaller and are not as fresh. My Jumping Shrimp roll tonight was cold and the rice was hard. Tony, their previous bartender, was always a bright spot and gave the place personality. Since he is no longer working here, we dont see any further reason to ever come back. So very sad...

Had an off-menu selection of sashimi and some drinks. Have enjoyed this place since it was on Rushmore Dr. These days you have to be menu-savvy to avoid the aioli-slathered, deep fried nonsense rolls whose flavors are one note and washed out, but if you order the sashimi or chirashi sushi you will be pleasantly surprised every time.

Best sushi.... EVER! Love this place. We will drive by any other sushi place to get to this one. A couple excellent rolls to try are the Sixth Sense and the Citrus Rainbow. Service is always great! Location is very convenient. Prices are average compared to other high quality sushi establishments. This is not buffet sushi.

I have been eating sushi from Ken-san, for at least 20 years and to this day i have never had bad service and the food is the best in the upstate. i dont go as often as i want and the newer generations of chefs are amazing. My personal favorites are the FUJI VOLCANO and the TUNA TATAKI, if you read this i hope you go.

The food is very fresh, and the staff very friendly and accommodating. It feels like the chef likes to take risks and experiment a lot with the rolls. I think some of the rolls go a little too far, and the flavors dont really fit, but others work well. Its definitely not your everyday sushi restaurant.

Love this place. First restaurant where I tried sushi and the obsession began. I reccomend the red dragon roll, it is pure perfection. Sally and Tony are wonderful bartenders and all the servers are attentive. Great atmosphere for family dinner or for a romantic date.

the food was alright. The menu was a little confusing for a new comer, but my food took about 30 mins to arrive, my girlfriends did too, but we had to send hers back because it was wrong. That was another 30 mins, so my food was cold by the time hers arrived.

Hey, this place is great. I have been going for about four years whenever I get the chance. If you are in town and enjoy Japanese Fusion dishes, check this place out. Nice and away from the hustle and bustle of downtown also which I find a plus.

Great food. Expanded choice of sushi will appeal to everyone. But the service was just simply amazing. The waitress in the bar area was funny and knew her job and menu. Thanks for making out first visit great. Will definitely be going back.

The only good part of my last visit here was the bartender. He made good drinks. Otherwise, Ill never go back. They were dead and it took an hour and a half to get 3 small boiled chicken kabobs because they were so busy.

Dont go if you want anything other than sushi. It took way too long to get my food... I ended up cancelling my order after waiting 30 minutes after ordering. They gave me the meal for free, but the shrimp was undercooked.

Cannot go wrong. Friendly service. Lively atmosphere - whether its the bar, the restaurant, or the sushi bar, it doesnt disappoint. Mention this review with Tony at the bar, and see if he will give you a free shot.
