The wife and I ate there for lunch after church. Over all i think the food was great. But heres the problem people are hungry we dont want to wait in line to order food. meanwhile the bartender makes drinks. Over worked the girl who was by the way not very friendly or maybe i wasnt either way it wasnt a very great experience. They served us on broken plates not just a little chip but a large chunk missing from the plate. food serving was very small for the price $3.60 or so a taco and we are not talking about a 10" round a 4" at best taco. 2 buck for a bowl of rice. and we had to get are refills for water. at the end i got back in line to grab a second round of tacos one for me and one for my wife. $25 buck for 4 tacos and 2 bowls of rice and beans...i have no idea why i tipped them because the food runner who i think was the owner dropped off the food and ran. oh and the cheapest set of silverware ive ever seen. They went to walmart and bought a ten piece set for 2 bucks. Love the food , hate the prices and service TBD if i will return

Its an interesting spot. I think they are kinda unnecessarily trying to emulate a Taqueria setup like what you would see on the west coast. You order at the counter, they give you a number to take to a table, they bring out your food. Its weird though because, once you order, you have a server who attends to your table very regularly to refresh drinks/chips and to take additional orders (ours was excellent). It makes it seem like they could just as efficiently take orders from the tables and that the whole order system they have is purely to try and capture a western aesthetic. Which, honestly, feels kinda lame and forced. The tacos were good. They are a bit bigger than we expected (a plus) and a lot wetter and messier (a small minus). The sides we ordered where very good as well. The staff was fast, friendly, and attentive.

Just a poor experience overall. Went out to try a new place for date night & was rudely passed by multiple times as soon as we walked in the door. We were not aware that we were suppose to order at the bar & once we were finally greeted, we were ignored some more. The bartender & one of the other workers stood at the counter chatting while we stood behind them waiting to order... The bartender was not pleasant & frankly quite rude when we asked about the menu. She said that "if we wanted full service we could take a seat at the bar" instead of just helping us with our questions. Our food wasnt much better than the service & we will not be returning.

I cant say enough good about this place, and since it opened last fall, I have taken everyone I know there, and now they cant stop going either. The food here is extremely fresh, and extremely good. The way the menu is done, its more like you have meat choices for different dishes, like tacos, tortas, enchiladas, or quesadilla or even salad. I strongly recommend going there just for the barbacoa if you have never had it. Also, a hidden gem there is definitely the salad which is unbelievable. And, on top of all of that, its right next to the Terrace, which makes for a great date night.

The setting was nice. The prices for the fish tacos seemed reasonable until the food arrived at the table. For $3.89, I felt that the Baja fish taco I ordered was a little skimpy. It was quite flavorful but I have a hard time believing that the food cost was anywhere above 50¢ - 75¢ per taco. My companion enjoyed her grilled fish tacos. The condiments we ordered (one guacamole and one sour cream) and one sweet tea ran the price up to just over $27. Its not a usual occurrence that I leave a place hungry at that price and I am a light eater.

Literally one of my favorite places in Charleston. The perfect example of quality and delicious food at reasonable prices. My boyfriend and I are here at least once a week and it costs no more than $40.00 for a good meal. Staff is super friendly and the owner is always around doing whatever, even busing tables. I LOVE THAT. It used to be kind of hidden gem but definitely have seen an increase in interest lately.

I thought the food was OK, nothing spectacular but not horrible either. The way they have the workflow set up is ridiculous though and it too a long time to order. The person taking our order at the counter was also making the mixed drinks we ordered, which was holding up the line of people waiting to order food. They should have one person focus on taking the order and someone else make the drinks.

A Diamond of Charleston! We had the grilled fish taco platter with black beans and corn, shrimp tacos, nachos, cheese dips with and without choirizio. Simply outrageous good food. Fresh and well seasoned not greasy. The food reminds me of Mexico Citys high end restaurants ... just top notch. And the quantity is plenty and prices are great and affordable. This is not a Tex mex joint. It is a gem!

Had the shrimp torta not much flavor there for $11. My son had the nachos. Literally four chips, (not kidding) which are spread with a thin layer of refried beans and topped with a little bit of melted cheese and no side. Im sorry but $4 for that was ridiculous. Couldnt get over that. My friend had the tacos al pastor, she really like that but left the side of rice because it was too garlicky.

Turn that frown upside down. Eat tacos! This place has a very cool atmosphere and the guacamole is completely kick-ass. The tacos were good too, but could have been a bit spicier. I also will order flour instead of the corn tortillias next time. But I definitely will go back and recommend for you to try it yourself.

Omg I cant rave enough about how much I loved this little gem. Complimentary chips and salsa is always a plus but the fresh chips and tasty salsa is worth noting. The baja fish tacos were amazing. Staff was friendly and quick. Good pricing. Only visiting but if Im every back in the area it would be a must stop.

Good food terrible service, i always feel like Ive been done a massive favor when i finally receive their chips and truly epic salsa. This place would be a 5 if theyd just staff one more person to run food/check on customers. Edit: Damn and the salsa was off when we finally got it, what a shame.

Ordered Carry Out and loved the food. Liked the band I heard when I stopped in to pick it up Sunday night but wasnt a family restaurant and thats why I did carry out. Loved my Chicken Yucatan Tortas and fish taco, Yucatan & Portabella Tacos. It was a long drive from Folly Beach but worth it.

The food was excellent. And came out in a timely manner. Presentations were great, the food was hot, and the portions were more than ample. The two of us ate for about 30 dollars. Could of been less but we ordered a lot of food, not knowing the portions were so big. All in all, very happy.
