We eat out a lot. The minute we walk into a place we have a sense. We got a second hand referral to this place - last time we do that. We were delivered to our booth and left there by the hostess. The seats were so dirty that i had to get napkins from a neighboring table to clean the seats, which turned out to be difficult because it was greasy cheese (or something) requiring hard scrubbing. While I was scrubbing I noticed a waiter 10 feet away, arms crossed, watching me. Once we sat down, small pile of dirty napkins on the table, that same waiter approached us and asked what we wanted to drink, no apologies or courtesies. We ordered margaritas which turned out to be ok and reasonably-priced. Were vegetarians so we were relegated to the "Vegetarian Dishes" section of the menu which offered something that Ive never seen - potatoes in burritos. We thought it was different, so we ordered it - it turned out, essentially, to be mashed potatoes in a burrito - which we concluded was a brilliantly-conceived cost-saving filler with no nutritional or taste benefit. The dishes were delivered with rice that the waiter had to ask about whether it was made with chicken stock - in the vegetarian section of the menu - and despite his attestations to the contrary, were rather certain the brown sauce was meat-based. Also, my wifes sauce - I am certain, was nothing more than plain old non-flavored tomato sauce out of a can. During the entire meal, the waiter was no more helpful or personable than he had been while watching me clean his table. Within minutes of finishing our meal, all 3 of us were feeling awful. The food quality was terrible. Throughout the evening we got sicker and sicker and now, finally 16 hours later Im starting to feel a little back to normal. IF this was maybe one of the last few places on Earth that had food, I might eat there again, but if we were nearing the end of days, Id just skip it and power through and be happy to meet my Maker with an empty, but healthy stomach. Oh yeah, throughout the meal, I had trouble finding anywhere on the floor to put my feet that wasnt sticky or slippery and when I got up I nearly fell because of what was apparently now part of the tread of my shoes... Authentic Mexican - No. Ive had that, Rio Grande is not Mexican food, its organic matter assembled on a plate for the means of taking money away from its unwitting victims, ahem, patrons. Again, in my opinion, pseudo-starvation would be my preferred option over this place.

This is a great family restaurant. My wife and I took my daughter and our two grandchildren there last night. The atmosphere is casual and friendly without being loud. Our server was cordial, knowledgeable and very helpful. Our food was delicious, with large portions and was served at just the right time, as we finished stuffing ourselves with the complimentary chips and salsa. I had the carnitas with mole sauce - best Ive ever had anywhere, including Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. To quote Gen. McArthur: "We will return!"

Great restaurant! I walk in, and I honestly feel like Im dining out in Mexico! The environment is great, and the waiters are very nice and helpful! I took my wife out on the day before Valentines Day, they had a live Mariachi Band, which made the whole eventing very *Romantic*! The prices are very reasonable, I ordered the steak fajitas, I had to take food home because I got so much! Overall, I will be coming back, I was more than satisfied!!

The food was good but the waitress was really disrespectful. My husband who is Hispanic always has me order for everyone so when I went to order his food instead of her doing her job and taking the order she was speaking over me. Very rude and did not appreciate it at all. She also had an attitude when I made her aware that she had given me the wrong drink. Will eat there again when in the area but will definitely have a different waitress..

My husband and I frequent this restaurant as our go-to night (or lunch!) out. We have never been disappointed with the quality of the service or the food. They have fantastic margaritas which seem to always be on special. My only concern is that my Arroz con Pollo is different every time. Luckily, it is still delicious. They have a great (and cheap) lunch menu, and their "large" burritos are massive! Love this place!

this place used to be great... they got a new name and maybe new ownership, but now its terrible. the service was rude, long waits in between, and not welcoming. the food was bland, even the chicken had a funny texture... and if you decide to give it a try, make sure you are close to the bathroom for the next 12 hours because something going on in the kitchen is not up to healthy code.

By far our #1 go to for Mexican food. Service is fast and amazing. 9 times out of 10 we get the chicken and shrimp fajitas. Portions are huge so plan on saving the meal for lunch the next day. During the warmer season we take our dog and dine out front or back.

Horrible service. Waited 40 mins for food them order was wrong twice! Complained to manager and he gave me a huge attitude and threatened to charge me for chips. The sad part is this was our weekly Sunday afternoon spot...Guess were looking for a new one.

This place used to be great, but the quality of the food and speed of service has gone downhill. Orders are messed up, items are forgotten even though you are charged for them, food tastes terrible, etc. I would find another Mexican restaurant.

This place deserves nothing less than 5 stars! Food, service, and atmosphere are top-notch. Weve been coming here for a year now and somehow it keeps getting better. You wont go wrong picking this place for lunch or dinner.

Simply my favorite Mexican restaurant anywhere. The frozen margaritas are potent and delicious. The chips and salsa are top shelf. Everything I have ever ordered has been delicious.
