I greatly enjoyed Muddy Waters Coffee Bar. I found it to be a handsome, clean, cozy building, conveniently located in a pleasant shopping center. The staff were friendly, and obliged my request for a custom Americano. The coffee was great, and no one chased me off when I hung around for a long time, sipping and reading on the bars quaint little patio. In a word -- excellent! A big thank-you to the folks behind Muddy Waters Coffee Bar. I am grateful for, and have benefited from, your work and service.

Would not come here again. Poorly organized. You wait in line twice, once for coffee/food, again to toast your own bagel and put cream/sugar in your coffee. Also, theyre very stingy with the cream cheese. They give you only enough to cover half of a bagel, but charge you 40 cents for an extra container to cover the other half. Finally, the coffee is terrible.... like its burnt. Youre better off at Starbucks, unfortunately.

At first, my husband liked his Muddy Mocha with almond syrup. He didnt like the fact that it wasnt as hot as he would have liked it to be. He said the milk cooled it down too much. I had a couple of sips of it, and I didnt like it. It tasted like the cardboard cup it was served in. I told my husband and he agreed that he could taste it, also. Not what we wanted for the price. Its a nice atmosphere with friendly people.

Nice, cozy place to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends and family. Coffee is made, fresh, from the most delicious bean from the region of Charleston. If you visit Muddy Waters Coffee you will not regret spending in a delicious cup of coffee. I was amazed and mesmerized by the rustic, beautiful decoration. I will for sure visit again and take multiple pictures, love everything about this place.

This is a great local coffee shop right next to the James island/west Ashley bridge. The cafe has a great vibe, a mix of low country art and industrial fixtures. The coffee I had was great, and with a purchase the Batista will give you a three hour wifi code. There is defiantly a following at this coffee shop, and the small cafe was packed for most of the morning.

I really like this place and i dare say it is better than starbucks! They are nice and with real spoons for mixing along with them running out and getting there own items made it feel homier, or atleast something more intimate. They may not have much snacking options but they are still a wonderful place to be at. Definitely telling my friends to go here next time!

Obviously good coffee since its from Counter Culture. Great equipment and cool shop feel. The two stars is for the indifferent barista texting behind bar When I came in. She was just plain unkind when speaking and unwelcoming overall. Ill go back to give them a second chance, and hopefully a better review. Maybe it was just a bad day.

A very "Cheers"-esque atmosphere. A great blend of regulars and new customers. Quaint and quality atmosphere, with friendly and knowledgeable baristas. Enjoy the coffee, sweet treats, community tables, free wifi, plenty of parking, or look up and soak in the oppurtunity to meet people from around the area!

Service was great, the lady was very nice and accommodating but the coffee itself was lackluster. Got a muddy mocha that was bland and flavorless, all milk, could barely taste the chocolate or caramel and coffee was weak. All in all not entirely worth the $5 paid for the latte.

Great little spot. Barrista was very friendly and helpful. At his suggestion I ordered the iced honey basil latte SO good! I got an extra shot of espresso, as I like my coffee strong, it was perfect. The honey added a subtle sweetness and the macchiato waa perfectly layered.

Amazing coffee bar that cold brews their iced coffees rather than using powders like the other leading coffee bar. Homemade whip cream too. Conveniently on the way to Johns Island, Sesbrook/ Kiawah. Very relaxing calm atmosphere, plenty of parking, and friendly employees.

Better than Starbucks...less people in line...not as noisy, crowded....less flies. Starbucks I saw five flies above serve counter and at least two flies harassed me as I tried to enjoy my wifi and coffee. Muddy waters ...not one single fly!!!!

Cant really go wrong with coffee! Iced Caramel coffee was perfect. Small Coffee was served piping hot EVEN after half and half was added. The lavender honey latte was a fun experience that tasted like tea+coffee. Odd but worth a try!

If you like small coffee shops this is one to put on your list. The lavender honey latte is great to try if you have never had a drink with lavender in it. The staff really makes the experience, and will keep you coming back.

Enjoyed the atmosphere, the coffee is hot and strong, and the service is great. The pastries are the perfect pairing with your morning shot of caffeine. Highly recommend a stop at Muddy Waters Coffee Bar when in Charleston!

Great place. Only caveat - The WiFi is super slow, 1.5mbps when I ran Speedtest on a Tuesday afternoon. There were just 2 other people on tablets at the time. So dont expect to get any internet-based work done.

They serve a delicious coffee; it is just the right place to have a cup of coffee, however, their chairs are not comfortable therefore it is not the perfect place for studying or sotting for a long time.
